Description of Work: I knew I needed a new breaker panel, but the quotes I received in the past were cost prohibitive. I also knew that I was playing with fire, literally, since the old panel was made by Federal Pacific. So when I saw the special on Angie's list, I jumped at it. Brian was wonderful and he did the job quickly, considering that the electricity from the entire house had to be turned off. I had lots of questions, both about the panel, as well as other electrical issues I had in my house. I was afraid that the special meant that they would try to "sell" me on additional services, but that was not the case at all. Brian was patient, friendly, and I've already recommended him to friends.

Description of Work: Incredibly professional and excellent service. I do, however, feel they are extremely expensive. $175.00 to install ONE light --when I made the appointment I told the person answering the phone that I had an "Angie's List" $99.00 promotion. I told her I had two lights and a ceiling fan to install. She did not mention the actual fee's. Needless to say when the electrician showed up and informed me of the fee's I could only afford one light. It was less for the Ceiling fan so it cost me an additional $100.00. This was an additional amount (on top of the $99.00 for the promotion) that I wasn't expecting nor could necessarily afford. Live and learn, I will ask fee's upfront before purchasing off your list Angie..

Description of Work: Installed a remote ceiling light fan and wall switch. They explained step by step. Even cleaned up after the job. Agreed on price before beginning job. Very concerned about the quality of their work and focused on expertise.Called first to see if they could come earlier which was even better for us. I would use them again. Very reputable and excellent service.

Description of Work: Brian installed a ceiling fan on my porch, replaced a smoke alarm and new doorbell. He definitely knew what he was doing, and I am pleased all his work was completed and working well. The fan doesn't wobble--always a concern when having one put in.

Description of Work: The technician said the company wanted more money to do the job. Also they did not call ahead to confirm the time of arrival. The technician asked the company to complete the job at the purchased price but they would not. The technician was courteous and upset about the treatment.

Description of Work: The costs for the project were greater than anticipated so I did not move forward with C&B Electric performing the job. They were great and said that they would refund my monies in full.

Description of Work: Told me to be there from 2-5PM and showed up at 7. Quoted ridiculous prices. Tried to trick me into signing a work order after is said I wasn't interested.

Description of Work: I asked what the coupon covered. They specified service. They do not charge an hourly rate but work from a price list. I asked for a copy and they said I would need to get an estimate. Alex cam by and gave me prices. They were beyond ridiculous. For example, they wanted $125.00 to replace a ceiling fan. An amateur can do this in 30 to 45 minutes. They wanted $175 to replace a ballast on a light fixture in the garage after recommending I change the lights to LED for $275.00. Enough said!

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for $99 for $200 of Electrical Services. My experience was fine.

Description of Work: I hired them to hang a light over pool table...the guy was not able to hang it because he was to large to fit into the crawl space. We also asked him to fix the electrical on one wall...he couldn't figure it out and would need to come back later with another electrician. So, after paying for a coupon for $200 on Angie's list for two hours. He left charging us $300 more for his time and nothing was resolved. I hired a local electrician and he fixed everything we asked for 1/4 the cost.

Description of Work: They did a fantastic job. The brand new ceiling fan I had bought from Lowe's was faulty. They installed it, and it didn't work. They had to take it down and my husband returned it for a new part. They reinstalled it. Still didn't work. We returned it for a whole new fan. The guys put it all together, installed it and, bingo! It worked! The guys were good natured about the whole thing!! Great service!!!!

Description of Work: The closet light fixture was replaced, outside outlet evaluated, and ceiling fan replaced in a bedroom. The Angie’s deal was for $99 and we added $35 in extra services. Very fair. The serviceman (Kevin, I think) was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. The work was done on the scheduled date and was done promptly. Will definitely use C & B Electric in the future.

Description of Work: This was a Big Deal for $349.00 for a whole house electrical inspection, plus surge protection. We had an electrician come out before this that told us that we need to re-wire our entire home and this company said that all of the wiring was fine.
