Description of Work: I used C&B by buying an Angie's list coupon for 1 hr of work for $111 (instead of regular $200). When I called to set up the appointment I had specifically requested for scheduling after 3.30 PM of the day, and preferably 4.00 PM if it were a weekday appointment. I was assured that would be the case. However on the day of appointment, the service personnel Joe called me at 12.30 or so in the afternoon to say he was heading over to my place. When I told him that I had specifically asked for a later time in the day, he told me that the most he could wait for me was 2.00 PM. As this was long pending on my to-do list, I was forced to get out of my work early. | |I had plans to change GFCIs and a few more items, but given what I felt was a high line item charge on the initial estimate, I decided to ask Joe to perform a general diagnostics. Joe was here in time, was professional in his approach, knowledgeable and helpful. He brought to my attention some electrical issues that I could have and fixed a simple loose connection in a switch that I did not guess was the problem. | |I believe that C&B are well experienced to provide quality service, however based on the initial estimates, I believe that the service charges are on the high end (They charge $175 for a GFCI, though it comes with a 2 year warranty). But importantly, I think that their schedulers should know that everybody's time is valuable, and should not make promises that they cannot keep. That is why my overall rating for them is a C instead of an A.

Description of Work: Installed multiple lights in the backyard. They were very reasonable in terms of cost (compared to others) and completed all the work within couple of hours. I would definitely call them again if needed.

Description of Work: We have used C&B Electric before and they have always been polite and professional. When they came to our house, they were polite. We had spent $111 for $200 worth of work. We needed our attic fan checked and most likely replaced. C & B checked the fan and found the motor was defective. Rather than quote us a price on a motor, my wife was told to go to Home Depot or Lowe's and purchase the fan. She was provided with an image of the fan info via email. We were quoted an install fee of $299 + tax after we picked up the fan. Neither of us were impressed. We hired C & B because we don't know how to do this kind of work. C & B was here about 30 minutes. They decided this was worth the entire value of the $200 coupon which we thought was a bit high to put it mildly. So, we did what we should have done in the beginning. My wife called the original installer a few days later. They responded promptly, changed the unit and charged us $140 including tax for the install. I think you can understand why we are so unimpressed with the service and price we received from C & B. We will never use them again.

Description of Work: The quoted us ~$1200 (including $200 credit) to install ceiling fans. We went with another provider for $600. I wish I could get back the $100 I spent on a voucher.

Description of Work: The electrician ran a line to a wall where we needed a plug... not complicated and he was very fast. Seemed like the time he took was not befit to the charges. Other than the price I was satisfied.

Description of Work: I had a coupon for services that cost me $110. I wanted my canned lights checked because We continually had burnouts. I was told that the only solution was LED lights that he happened to have for the cost of about $100 ea. I questioned the cost but was told these were the only ones guaranteed for life. I thought it sounded reasonable and agreed to the change. However, my husband thought we were overcharged but without the packaging for the new lights we don't know that for sure
