C & B Electric

C & B Electric could not install the fans for about 2 weeks, since the response to their special was overwhelming. I needed them installed before Jun 30 for a Realtor Open House, so I had to install them myself.

From the start C&B was very accomodating and helpful. Teri helped me schedule my appointment and communicated my options. She was very helpful answering all my questions. Brian arrived ontime and well prepared for the job. I had scheduled the installation of a dedicated line for a freezer but after consulting with Brian, he identified an existing outlet that was dedicated and could be used for the freezer. Even though the installation of an additional outlet in the kitchen was not in the original estimate he was able to accomodate this new task with no problems. They provided the canned lights and consulted with me through out the job to make sure everything was as I wanted. Brian was courteous and cleaned up after the job was complete. He also tried to arrange the lighting to reduce the amount of drywall damage, somthing that I appreciated. would not hesitate in using C&B again.

They didn’t send someone out for 2.5-3 weeks. The guy said he could do it but he didn’t have the tools, so he left. It was another week to reschedule, then he couldn’t fix it. He was on time and very nice and profession, though. Then when we called to reschedule, the woman at the office, Terry, was really rude to her. So I called another company and they were able to come out quickly and fixed it. I called and spoke with their sales manager, Dee, and he said they would refund it. He was very responsive, but the rest of the office wasn't. I'd normally give them an F, except Dee Peppers was so nice.

My concern is with what I paid for services. The electrician was there for about an hour and a half. He needed my assistance with the front lamp post (I would give myself a "C") and told me before we started that the job would cost about $175. Since I had already spent $111 for $200 dollars worth of service, I figured that left me with $25. I told him there were a couple of other things that I was going to need, and he said that it was all covered under "diagnostics." He did not mention any particular fee for that. The lamp post job was difficult and took about an hour to finish. He fixed my ceiling fan and then took information in order to give us a bid on retrofitting the house fuse box system at a later date. When he figured the bill, there was a $149 charge for diagnostics, and a $299 for the lamp post. I'm not sure what the difference is between diagnostics and labor since that's part of what electricians do. The lamp post did require some hard work, but I was never quoted the price of $299. $200 was subtracted from the final bill. I did not contest anything as everything else had been pleasant enough, but I did feel like I was being overcharged. When I received an Big Deal email from Angie's List later today that offered 2 hours of electrical labor for $99, I had to wonder out loud if I had just spent almost $400 too much for the same work. I would have been willing to pay for the new wiring, but that's the only material received in additional to the hour and a half of labor.

Prompt, courteous and completed in less than one hour

The electrician did an excellent job. I cannot complain about the job he did. My only concern was with the cost. I had purchased $200 dollars of electrical work for $99. I had already received an estimate for the same job from another electrician on Angie's List. His price was $125. I thought I could save a bit of money and get some additional work done by purchasing the deal offered. Unfortunately, the actual cost of the service was $212. I did save a $100 but did not get any other work done. Next time i will use the other electrician.

It went great. He was very friendly and accommodating. He understood what i needed and I would definitely use them again in the future.

I purchased a Big Deal which was $49 for $200 worth of work. I had a couple of electrical outliers that were not working, and the lights in our hallway would not turn on. The lights were a result of problem with the breaker box. The technician fixed that by flipping the breakers back and forth, which I had done, but evidently I didn't have the correct touch. He also replaced the CGI outlet in our downstairs bath. The outlet replacement was not included in the big deal, and cost me another $99. Then, the technician tried to sell me on some much more expensive preventative work and a service plan. I said no, and I will not use this company again.

The majority of the time (2 hours paid through the coupon) was done looking at the items that I wanted done and writing up an estimate of the overall cost. Once he finally started doing the work, the 2 hours had almost passed so I was charged another $250+ for the items listed above. I did not feel like I got my money's worth and would not purchase another coupon through this company.

Brian did an excellent job, fixed the issue we had quickly. He was professional and courteous. The price was fair. I would definitely recommend C&B Electric.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was very good.

He was in and out in about an hour and a half, didn't leave any messes, was good about putting all the old fixtures in a neat pile and convenient location, and everything is working beautifully. Very, very happy with this deal. I would recommend C&B Electric, and I would hire them again to knock out any honey do lists of electrical related work.

The technician did a fine job replacing the stove. Some of the outlets he replaced do not work so they will have to be replaced again.

I purchased the $99 Big Deal. The electrician arrived on schedule and installed new light fixture near the front door. He then ran wiring through the attic to the outside for the two motion sensor outdoor lighting. Work was done professionally in a short amount of time. I'm very pleased with the results.

C&B was great. Very knowledgeable. Fixed the problem quickly. Even my Dad who has electrical experience was very very impressed!

We have communicated by email and they have responded any time that we have needed. They have been very timely with the emails.

We got them off of Angie's List. The guy came out. We had no issues. He was on time. They recommended an upgrade which we went ahead and did. He was excellent.

Overall, the work was completed as expected. There was one minor issue when the second electrician was checking the switches (turning things on and off) when the work was completed. I happened to be getting plumbing work done the same day and my kitchen sink drain was in pieces on the floor in front of him when I walked into the kitchen I told the electrician to turn off the water and disposal immediately on my sink because it wasn't connected. He looked at me like he didn't understand and I had to explain to him that he was responsible for spraying water under my sink at that moment because there was no drain. Other than that, the electricians were friendly and work was done on time.

Great, on time fast and easy

Brian was able to trace the circuit from the hallway of the house to a wall switch in the garage that was turned off. How it got wired into the problem and got turned off is a mystery and Brian being able to trace it was almost magic. Turning it on made the fan and light start working. Brian then removed the switch and hard wired so that the circuit is always active and put a plate on the box. He then asked if I needed anything else and I asked him to check to see if my whole house protection device seemed to be wired properly and working and he checked that for me. I will call C&B from now on when I have electrical problems.

The work ended up being a little more than the package we purchased but I had anticipated it. They were responsive and came on time. They explained what was wrong and did a good job.

Went well! The outside light works and looks great, as does the new ceiling fan in the breakfast area of the kitchen. Had a couple of issues with some fixtures. One was easily repaired. The other shows the honesty of the man who did the work. The ballast in the flourescent fixture was bad (what I suspected). To replace the ballast would have cost more for the new ballast that the fixture was worth. So got a new, more energy efficient fixture for about 1/3 the cost of the ballast replacement. Hope the entire company has this type of consideration for its customers' interests in mind. I'm sold on these folks.

C & B did a good job. There were some compiications related to the meter and needing Oncor to disconnect the power, etc. The electricians from C & B were very helpful during this process, explained what I needed to tell Oncor, arranged a city inspection, and waited for Oncor to return to turn the power back on afterwards.
