The service worked out good. They did a good job. They did the service as advertized, there were no issues with the panel. It was very matter of fact, they were professional, they were in and out, and they did a good job. The price was very good.

The workman was professional and worked at good speed. The charges were more than I had thought they would be for the fans. There was a charge for each step of switching out the den fan for a new fan. A charge for take down of old fan, charge for install of new fan, charge for light fixture on same fan. The workman did a good job on the install and he added the electrical remote. Please with the work.

iT WENT FINE. LIKE A LOT OF ELECTRICIANS AND PLUMBERS, THEY HAVE A BOOK PRICE FOR EACH PIECE OF WORK, WHICH IF IT EXCEEDS THE (200) VALUE WOULD CHARGE FOR THE OVERAGE. Naturally the book price exceeded the $200, however after discussion, the individual did the work at no extra charge. I appreciated this.

After purchasing a "Big Deal", I contacted C&B Electric to install an outlet on my patio. Alex was running late, since his previous job had taken longer than expected, but that was not a big deal. He was very efficient, and had the outlet installed in no time. Excellent cleanup afterwards. I thought the price was rather high (even with the Big Deal) for what he did. The outlet box was surface-mounted, and I probably could have done it myself, but I was not sure what was involved with building codes, etc.

A very bad experience. The technician installed the Surge protector when asked couple of questions nodded his head but was reluctant to answer any questions.Once he was done asked him to replace a switch in my dining room which dims the light and he gave a deal - if included in invoice he would charge me $90 and if paid cash i can pay $60. That is for the switch which costs $11 in Home depot. I was really surprised as the deal i bought on Angies list was for inspection and installing a Surge protector but he clearly mentioned that he WILL NOT inspect anything as the cost was only for the surge protector and the labor Unfortunately i do not remember the exact date so providing an approximate date of service provided but will never prefer C&B Electric for any electrical issues.

I paid $111.00 for the deal on Angie's list to install two ceiling fans, two men came and reviewed the job. With two fans to replace only one of them worked at a time, they began talking about the cost and a brace needed to hold the ceiling fans up and if the existing fans did not already have them it would cost me an additional $125.00 each, however if you buy into their extended family plan it would only be $75.00 each. Of course I bought into the family plan which cost $99.00, they proceed to charge an extra $99.00 each to take down the two existing fans had I known that I would have taken them down myself. Thanks to the family plan I only paid $75.00 for each fan to be taken down. They were helpful in determining that only one of the fans was originally installed incorrectly, was a hazard, and the cost of correcting the problem would be a lot so we omitted installing one fan and covered up the hold with a plate that cost me an extra $225.00 to cover up the hole with a plate, but with the family plan it was only $185.00.... so at the end of the day I paid $111.00 on line with Angie's list to get them to come out, and ended up paying an additional $269.54 making it a total cost of $380.54 to install one ceiling fan. Not feeling warm and fuzzy about ever using them again.

I purchased a promotional off of Angie's List: $111 for $200 of electrical work. I had several small electrical projects, all of which I could do myself (I'm a single mom) except for moving the electrical box for a light in my breakfast nook. It cost me $613 for the man to take down my breakfast nook light and move the electrical box 1 foot over. Besides this, the projects included: Installing a dimmer on a shower light- $249, take out rope lighting in master bedroom and replace LED light and transformer (I had the LED tape lighting)- $374, install dimmer on LED tape lighting- $249, take down ceiling fan- $99, and install a ceiling fan/drum light I purchased from Lowes- $449 (install only), and, install new whole electrical surge protection (I don't remember asking for this or what it meant)- $613. If I purchased some sort of package, the total cost of my projects, minus the surge protection, would drop from $6707 to $4903. I could kick myself for paying $99 as part of the $613 cost to take down my breakfast nook light and move the box. Since the visit, I have installed the new light in the breakfast nook, taken down the ceiling fan in my living room, and installed a ceiling fan/drum light with dimmer remote. The other projects are pending, but after the holidays, I will eventually get to all of them... I'm not paying exorbitant prices, and will never use this company again.

I had three outlets in my breakfast nook go ?dead.? I had C&B install a ceiling fan about 2 ½ months ago. They did a good job at that time so I called them again. Since they were coming out, I also asked them to look at another outlet on which the top plug worked and the bottom did not. The only negative I can mention is that they were scheduling about a week out. (I also gave them a "B" on price but that just a reflection on my "cheapness.") Since the repair wasn?t urgent that was no big deal. (I didn?t actually ask, but I assume if it was an emergency they could have worked me in earlier.) I was given an appointment between 8:00 AM and 11:00. The technician, Kerrie, called at 7:57 to say he would arrive in about 35 minutes. They diagnosed the issue very quickly and determined I needed four new outlets. They had the outlets replaced and were on to their next job by 9:15. I did purchase their Extended Family Plan for $99.00, which netted me a savings of $112 on this call. With the Extended Family Plan you don?t pay for the dispatch fee ($65.00) and get a discount on all the work. You also get ?priority scheduling,? so if I had bought the plan earlier, my negative about scheduling may have been mitigated. In my case I saved $146.00 on the work plus the $65.00 on the dispatch fee for a total savings of $211.00. ($211.00 savings minus $99.00 fee equal $112.00 savings.) I would definitely call C&B again.

One Electrician came and spent :15 minutes writing up a bill. Then he spent another :10 telling me how much work it was to install 2 ceiling lights with switches. His cost was $863. - after Angies List $200,his cost was $663. He did not seem to want the business. I declined his offer. Perhaps I was spoiled by my earlier experience with SPEEDY ELECTRIC in June. That Angies List deal was 2 Electricians for 2 hours if I recall correctly? Two Electricians came in and immediately went to work. They got everything done in two hours and charged me $5.00 for material. What a deal!

I contacted them to give me an estimate to run a 220V line for a hot tub. The estimator that came out was nice and professional, but the estimated price was in the stratosphere! He estimated over $2000 for a job that would take about 3 hours. I ended up going with a bid from another company that was less than half of that. I'm very disappointed and feel that they tried to rip me off. I would not recommend them.

Thank you for your honesty sir- Se appreciate feedback good or bad. We only use licensed technicians and the best quality material because that and the fact we offer a two year warranty there will always be someone out there that can do any job cheaper than us.We have high standards for our techs and our projects so we do not try to complete with companies who do not share the same standards that we do. Brian gave me a bid to replace my circuit box for my house, built in 1986. He scheduled the replacement while on site and handled the install for C& B Electric. The house has gone through many changes and he was able to streamline the changes into a neat and clean box. He was instrumental in weeding out problems and making the job go with the least amount of inconvenience.

I scheduled them initially explaining over the phone what I wanted done. they gave me a day a week out for someone to come by. I had assumed this would be to do the actual work but this was just an estimate he listened to what I wanted again and gave me individual prices for the things I wanted done. I have to admit I was kind of surprised. the cost was significantly higher than what I had expected the work wasn't major I'm fairly handy and I could do a lot of it myself but I figured after finding the coupon I could save myself the hassle. replacing the cover on an outdoor outlet they wanted $65 for, just putting ends on a couple exposed wires and putting them in an outlet box was over $100. I might be missing something but it all seemed very expensive for not much work to me. in the end the final estimate was over $600 so I just did the one thing I didn't know how to do myself which was adding a ground to the gas line which basically entailed running a copper wire to a pole driven into the ground nearby. $250 with a $200 coupon I bought for $100 it wound up costing me $150 which is fine. He did a fine job and was polite enough so as a company I would say they are fine but the price was more than I would have spent without the coupon.
Description of Work: Got a quote for a couple of electrical fixes. wound up only getting one thing on the list done just to use up the coupon. They added a ground to my gas line.

I purchased a deal for $99 for $200 worth of Electrical Services. I needed a very small chandelier hung in a bathroom where there was a light but it was not in the ceiling. I called their office and explained exactly what I wanted done to make sure this would cover the job. They told me that $200 would be more than enough to cover the job. When the electrician arrived, I showed him the bathroom and the chandelier. He wrote up a work order for me which totaled $912.00, or $778.00 for the "Extended Family Plan Member". I almost passed out. I told him that I had spoke to his office before I scheduled the appointment and they assured me this deal would cover the job. He told me that they did not know what the job was. I just told him to forget it, I would find someone else to do the job at a more reasonable cost. He told me that it could not be done any cheaper. Then he left. I will never use this company and I would not refer them to anyone.
