When they were done, they cleaned up and showed me exactly where everything had been relocated. After that, we decided to have them come back to do some more electrical work for us.
Description of Work: They moved some wires that were hidden in the bump out in the laundry room.

+ -1 moreThey did a great job installing the inside outlet. The guy who came was very professional and friendly and I would definitely use this company again. I only have one complaint - I called to make the appointment and asked for an estimate of what would be covered by the $200 coupon. The representative I talked to informed me of 2-3 things that could possibly be fixed for under $200 but she never mentioned a cost for the diagnostic. The diagnostic was $175 which took most of the $200 coupon and left us with a $399 bill. I recommend they mention the diagnostic cost when making appts.
Description of Work: Installed an inside outlet and did a diagnostic of the GFCI in the garage.

+ -1 moreI don't think they really inspected my electrical system as I thought they were going to do. Someone came to my door one night later and told me the flipper I bought my house from was being sued by someone else who bought a house from them that had an electrical fire. After that, I used another Angie's list provider to inspect and sure enough my control panel and about 1/2 of my outlets were not grounded which that provider took care of. I would have thought if C & B had really done an electrical inspection they would have caught that.
Description of Work: They installed a surge protector. However, they obviously did not really inspect my electrical system as discussed below. They did tell me I had copper wiring as I'd been worried it might be aluminum.

+ 0 moreThis was one month ago, and the renters are stating that the lights continue to flicker intermittently in one of the rooms. The items that they did find problems with originally, seem to be working properly now When I spoke to C & B Electric, they stated that if the lights weren't flickering at the time of the last service, they would charge an extra diagnostic and service fee. By their actions, they will not guarantee their work.
Description of Work: I own a rental property, and lights in several of the rooms were intermittently flickering. The electrician found a short in the fan remote control and replaced the remote control ($199), one plug ($99), and installed a new GFI ($250) for a grand total of $592, which also included a $199 diagnostic fee. This was AFTER I had already paid the Angie's List Big Deal price of $111 for $200 worth of work, This price seems extremely high to me.

+ -1 moreThis was a big deal. I just wasn't real pleased with the service. What they could do better is probably to be a little more personable. I am very sensitive to smoke and I could smell a lot of cigarette smoke on the man who came out. It just did not seem to be nearly the expert service that I have had in the past. The other thing to is that every time I tried to call there was a lot of hassle trying to rearrange or arrange times to come out. That was also very frustrating. Lengthy waits and callbacks. I initially was not clear on the charge so that was my fault for not understanding. The pricing was fine, good. There was no problem there.

+ -1 moreIt was fine. The installation of the fan was way out of price. They charged me over $200 and some dollars to install a ceiling fan and take one down. So I won’t be using them again. It was way too much money. They were very courteous and they were very nice and everything but way overpriced. They were right here on time.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal coupon from them. They did the deal but then I needed a ceiling fan replaced upstairs.

+ 1 moreGood. Instead of replacing a ballist that would potentially go bad again in another 6 years (age of house), opted to replace with LED lights that are brighter and will last way longer. Very happy!

+ 0 moreThey did a great job. They were punctual and courteous.Did everything I asked and then some! They even fixed my pool lights, which was not part of the work they were supposed to. Very pleasant to work with. However, the cost was a lot more than I expected. Maybe it is the going rate, but thousand dollars for the work they performed, was a bit much in my opinion.

Both Brian and Sean were very professional, left the work area clean and got my fixtures replaced in record time in spite of some issues with the hall not being plumb! I couldn't be happier with the job they did and will definately use them again! I didnt realize the full range of services this company provided! Including alarm monitoring and exterior landscape lighting! First rate company and Brian and Sean were fantastic to work with! Excellent...excellent....and more excellent!! Thank you so much C & B!!

I'd had 3 different companies out to assess the problem (my AC unit, which is only 3 years old, would stop working) and one of the two breaker switches would be tripped. I'd hired another company recommended on this website and it cost half of what C & B charged, but the repair person was only guessing at the problem and didn't fix it. He did replace a breaker switch but seemed unaware that two switches were involved with the AC unit. He didn't fix the problem. I've had no problems since C & B Electric was here.

+ -1 moreSuddenly the electricity went out to my refrigerator, microwave and some kitchen outlets. We called C & B and Carrie tried to get someone out the same day. In the meantime, she suggested we use a heavy duty electrical cord to hook up the refrigerator so we would not lose our food. Joel called the following morning at 7:30 a.m. and started work about 8:15 a.m. It seems our house is wired in a unique way. It took him about 1 1/2 hours to find it but he finally did. He was so professional and kept working until the problem was solved.

+ -1 moreI asked Angles list for full refund of coupons because when electrician didn't have parts, I asked the electrician to leave. I certainly didn't want to pay for a shopping day. I've had to do that before with a plumber. C&B electric should coordinate more with customers and electricians. When I called to schedule appointment, the schedule could very easily told me to go to but parts and I would have cancelled the appointment then rather than wasting the poor electricians time.
Description of Work: Nothing. I bought the $110 coupon for $200 in work to change my kitchen outlets to GFI and to add a motion switch in my laundry room. I told dispatch what services I needed on the same day I scheduled the visit. The electricians arrived and we went over what I needed and he said the coupon did not supply parts that the homeowner would have to supply parts. I'm not an electrician and certainly have no clue what parts an electrician meds so I asked the electrician to leave. He later called to apologize that he was wrong about the coupon but that he would still need to go shopping for parts. It took great integrity for the electrician to call me and apologize like that. I would have given worse reading if I had not had that call from the electrician
