+ -1 moreMy wife had recommended them in as much as they did a job a couple of years ago. This would be our second time hiring them. They did a great job of painting two rooms and the master bath.
Description of Work: Painting master bath and bedroom and an additional room as well as pulling out old carpet and laying down new carpet.

+ -1 moreWe first contacted them in November '07 and they didn't start the work done until the beginning of '08 therefore not making us eligible for a '07 tax rebate. The work was lousy.

+ 0 morethe owner is very nice but they don't stay on schedule or on budget. There were several times they didn't show up at all and everything ended up costing more than anticipated or estimated. I'm not sure what was going on but it was a very frustrating experience. We'd used them as several of our neighbors had and the owner lives in the area.

+ -1 moreIt was a horrible experience. They didn't show up after time. The people would come over and been like when they did show up they didn't finish a number of the job they are supposed to. The job they did finish are falling apart right now. They came back over to look at it and told me they would fix everything and then I haven't heard from them again. They didn't pay their contractor because I had their contractor show up in my house telling me that they weren't paid and they were going to sue me for it. They are very shoddy and it was the worst experience I have ever had. I would recommend not to use them. I would not use them again.
Description of Work: I used Gmz Painting & Remodeling. We started in June of last year and ended in late October. They put a wall up to enclose my dining room, they did all of my floors and then remodeled my master bath.

+ 3 moreI think their quality of work is very good. I do not have any complaints. My house still looks really good and it is over two years. The only complaint I might have is punctuality. They were late or show up when they felt like it. But it was not really, really bad. It was just like pretty much any contractor I have used.
Description of Work: I have used GMZ Painting, Roofing & Remodeling for exterior painting and they replaced a lot of sidings, also gutters and some lights in my kitchen.

+ 0 moreOur experience with GMZ remodeling was total frustration. The owner took advantage of us.
Description of Work: We used GMZ remodeling because our neighbor used them. Big mistake! GMZ was never on time. Over the phone the owner, Gilbert Rodriguez, was very polite and told us what we wanted to hear but when it came time for service he was lacking. It took GMZ a very long time to finish our house project because they would never show up as promised. Never returned our phone calls. We would have to call 3 and 4 times to finally get a response. We have had issues with cracking grout, water damage to our shower that GMZ completely remodeled, caulk that is defected, paint that was not properly placed on our walls,,,,I could go on and on. My husband and I did contact Gilbert Rodriguez and explained our concern, especially the water damage to our bathroom. Mr, Rodriguez did come to our home, inspect the damage, and told us that there was certainly water damage and he would send a crew out to repair the damage. He never showed as he promised. Again, we contacted Mr. Rodriguez and he set up another date. Again, no show. Now, after many messages left on his personal cell phone, emails to their company office and messages left on the office phone we have not heard from the secretary or Gilbert Rodriguez. Please do not use GMZ Remodeling and Roofing. I want to save other homeowners frustration and money.

+ 2 moreWhat should have taken 2 weeks, took them 6 months. There were several days they didn't show up. They were unresponsive to our phone calls. I think they were just over scheduled. We were horribly inconvenienced for 6 months. The finished product was very good though and they were neat and cleaned up well.
Description of Work: They gutted our 10' by 12' bathroom and installed a 72" sunken Jacuzzi tub and shower. They also painted and texturized walls. They did all of the plumbing work as well.
