read above story. It is too painful to type again. Please Beware!!!
Description of Work: I had Tim Todd do a complete kitchen remodel on my home. WE had many issues about his overcharging for workers salarys and things included on receipts which were not used in my home, but the worst thing was that in Oct. of 2010 in the middle of the night, water was gushing in my walls for hours. The next morning when we woke up our entire front part of our house had two inches of water all over it. I called a plumber and when he came out and cut into the wall where the water was pouring from, he said "oh my god, you have got to be kidding me." Where my old fridge was located, they had capped off the ice maker line with an old caste iron cap that i assume they had just found on the back of their truck and it had finally rusted through. It did approx.$40,000 dollars worth of damage. All my flooring was ruined, cabinets, walls on and on. But the most distressing thing was when I called Tim, I thought he might at least want to come out and see what I was talking about. He said I didn't do that and suggested that was my insurance companys problem. I suggested that prehaps his workers had capped it off and he said "they don't even work for me anymore." I said well no doubt. I have not heard a word from him and it will take approx. 3 months for my house to be repaired.. All my furniture has had to be removed, dehumidifiers and twenty fans, all flooring ripped out, walls ripped out, I have never seen such negligence. He lives in my home town and I have know him for many years and I even employed his wife briefly and this is how he treats people he knows, so I can imagine how strangers are regarded. BEWARE!!!

This remodeling experience was very disappointing. Low quality materials were used, and he used subcontractors that were not prepared. I gave the subcontractors some lumber to work on projects, such as leveling sink tops, etc... I had a written estimate prior to the remodel. One part of the written estimate, which I didn't understand, was a final walk-through of the remodel project by a third party, which would cost about $300-$400. In the end, they didn't have a final walk-through performed by an outside party, so once I brought this to their attention they did remove this cost from the invoice. The tile workers did not have enough tile to finish the project, which caused a delay. They were not informed what design pattern was to be used in the shower or the back splash above the tub. I explained the pattern to them, but the tile we were using was not suitable for the pattern I wanted. We ended up using some extra leftover tile from previous jobs laying around my house. I didn't feel it was my job to explain the pattern of the tile to the workers, and it should have been the construction's responsibility. The job finally was finished, but overall I am greatly disappointed. They used caulk to fill in gaps for uneven edges behind the sink. The jetted tub bends when you sit on the edge. I budgeted about $3000-$4000 for a new jetted tub. The tub I originally picked out was not available within the time frame of the remodel, so I had to go back to the tub provider and chose a different tub. I feel my secondary tub that was chosen is a lower quality than the original tub picked out. I told T A Todd about my displeasure with the job and that I felt most of the $15,000 went toward salaries and not toward products installed in my bathroom. I ran into the owner in my neighborhood a few months later, and told the owner of my displeasure. He and his son came over to my home later that day to look at the job. He asked what I thought he should do, and I told him to do what he thought was right. There were supposed to be warranties associated with the work, but obviously this is not being recognized. They have not contacted me since coming to see the work in my home. The owner and son were never on site; from time to time the site supervisor would drop by for an hour and then take off to check on another job at another site. Overall I felt communication and follow through was lacking on this remodel project. No one wanted to take responsibility for lack of materials or materials arriving late.
Description of Work: I had them remodel my master bathroom.
