Wes was very responsive to my request for a bid and he was easy to work with. His crew did an excellent job and things went on schedule and as described. I'd recommend Outdoor Designs for this type of work.

Their work was incredible. They showed up on time and got it all done in one day. They were so awesome. They removed all of the dead grass from my back yard and made a huge pile in the street in front of my house while they loaded into their dumptruck. When they were done, you could not tell there had ever been any dirt there, they got up almost every blade of grass and dirt. For the first time in the seven years I have lived here, I do not have to wake up in the middle of the night when it rains and go outside pushing the water out of my yard with a broom. I have always worried that my house would flood, Wes gave me piece of mind by correctly redirecting the water so it stays away from my house. That is so huge, just such a great feeling to see how well it has all worked and how nice it looks. His guys worked so hard, they just plugged away and kept at it. And these are HIS guys, not just a crew hired for the day. They have all worked with him anywhere from 5 years-20 years and it shows in their work. They worked really well together, very smoothly, very quickly, just an awesome guy and an awesome company. I wouldn't think of using anyone else in the future if I have outdoor work to do on my house.

This is the second project we completed with Wes. He is focused on the customer and all attention to details. We knew specifically what improvements we needed to the exact amount of premium soil in the planting areas. Wes and his crew are truly engaged on the client and customer satisfaction. We highly recommend him to you for your home improvement projects. We will use his services again for our next outside improvement!!

He did a super job on the work. We hired them after finding the company on Angie's List. A crew of about four people completed the work in a couple of days. After the landscaping was done, it looks like a whole new yard and we get several comments on it from neighbors. The work was outstanding and it turned out much better than I could have ever expected. We have already recommended them to others and we would hire them again.

My neighbor had a great experience with Wes so I decided to use him for my backyard. I'm glad I did because the yard looks amazing. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. I quickly got an estimate that Wes thoroughly reviewed with me. He made sure to explain why he choose a certain type of grass and rock for my yard. We scheduled the service and his crew showed up bright and early. Unfortunately, there was a hiccup with the stubborn fence company we used (Apple Fence: I'll be reviewing them too) so Wes and his crew had to work around them. He showed up and did a solid job of coordinating efforts between the two groups. The whole job took about a day and a half. Wes was great to work with and I plan to call them when we're ready to redo the front. Both my neighbor and I were extremely happy with their service.

We've had this issue for the last 7 years. The problem is getting worse with each rain and it has to be addressed. We have to decide if this is work we can have done now. Wes is such a professional. Seems very honest, very knowledgeable, detailed. Look forward to working with him. The only issue I have is that he doesn't accept credit cards, which I use as a consumer protection. I would not normally even consider hiring someone with giving myself this protection, but I feel Wes is the best at what he does and I trust him to do the job right.

Prior to the work done by Outdoor Designs we really had no front year. The previous property owners had obviously totally ignored the yard. There was no grass and the yard surface was pretty much down to subsurface rocks. We and his crew did a wonderful job and in one day they gave us a real yard, which with appropriate care should look great for years to come. The project pricing was reasonable for the work performed.

The person who came out to give us a quote was very professional. He looked at some of the concerns we had. He was extremely knowledgeable. He measured everything and talked to us about what we would need. He gave us suggestions and a couple of choices.

Wes Cowart understood the scope of the drainage problem and appreciated the engineering report. He devised a plan according to the report and presented a detailed proposal of the work. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and responsive to questions. The work was scheduled and completed within a week. His estimate was very reasonable and 30% less than landscaping competitors. It took a day to complete. It just doesn't get any better than this!!

wes and his crew removed trees and changed the topography of our yard to eliminate water saturating the slab of our home. they were extremely professional and did an excellent job. came in on bid and we have not had any water issues since. will be using him again.

Wes came to our house in order to estimate the work. He thoroughly explained the options and work that they would perform. Very helpful and nice! The price was very reasonable too compared to other estimates. The access to our backyard just barely left enough room for access by their big machines. The new retaining wall is built out of 6' x 1.5' x 1' Texas limestone weighing 1500 pounds a piece. The workers were very efficient and skilled in operating in narrow spaces. They managed to put up the new wall without any damage to the house, fence or trees - amazing. Wes came over a couple of times to check on the progress and was available for questions. After completing the wall they cleaned up nicely. We are extremely pleased with their work and love our new wall.

They started on time and then it rained the next day so had to reschedule to finish a couple days later. Workmen were polite and worked hard. Foreman was professional and prompt. Great experience.

After identifying Outdoor Designs on Angie's List, I called and left a message on their voice mail. Within an hour Wes retyrned my call. I explained the problem and he agreed to come by the following week and make some recommendations. He did that exactly when he said he would and provided a quotation a few days later. He emailed me a description of the work to do and quoted me a price that I thought was very reasonable. After that he stated that he would work me into his schedule within a few weeks and would call me with a start time. He did that exactly as he stated, and on the start date came out to walk me through the planned work. Everything went according to plan and he finished the work when he said he would. I had no idea who to call for this job so I read all of the recommendations on Angie's List and made my choice. It was an excellent choice. The day that Outdoor Designs finished the work it rained for several days thereafter. I immediately noticed that the drainage problem had been corrected, and, my yard looked better with the gravel they bought in. When the job was complete his crew cleaned up everything and hauled off all trash created by their work leaving my yard in a tidy condition. I am very satisfied.

The Best. I decided to contact Outdoor Designs because of the great references on Angies list. I called Wes and asked for an estimate. He was prompt and came at the time arranged. We discussed the yard and the work in detail. I received an email estimate the next day. The estimate was detailed and contained all the items we discussed. They showed up on time at the start date. Preparation for the drive was done and the left side of the house swale was dug out. The next day the drive was installed. Again, workers showed up on time and did a careful job installing the concrete drive. I had told Wes I was in no hurry for the construction to be finished and one day he asked to reschedule the second swale completion, which was fine with me. He made it clear he would come on the date and time we had originally agreed on if I would prefer. The workers arrived to finish the second swale on the date and time we agreed on. Everyone who came to do work was friendly and listened to what I had to say. One of the major reasons I chose this company is Wes returned all my calls or emails during my search for a contractor, as well as during the construction. I was kept informed of progress and consulted on all changes.

I contacted Outdoor Designs and an initial quote was quickly provided. We initially discussed sodding in some areas, and I later changed my mind. Another updated quote was provided and work was scheduled for the following week. The day of the work, they were prompt and professional. Fill dirt/loam was brought in to aid in the flower bed creation. With the dirt that was left over, they were kind enough to move and spread for use in a small garden.

The owner met me on time to look at the work I was requesting and provide me with an estimate. He was able to quickly identify the problem and agreed on how it needed to be resolved. He took detailed notes and measurements and told me he would email me a written estimate. Within two business days, I had the promised proposal. The owner was very professional and flexible in scheduling a time for the work to be done. On the day of the service, he arrived on time and with all of the necessary equipment. We reviewed the job again and discussed it with his crew. He shot the grade with a laser level, and then made detailed notes on his drawing so that his crew knew exactly how deep the final grade needed to be at different points thorughout the yard. This helped ensure the yard would drain as designed. His crew was courteous and cordial. They went to work immediately and kept a steady pace throughout the day. I was called away about half way through the job, but the owner assured me the job would be completed soon and that he would e-mail me an invoice. The final work product was spot on and it looks great. If central Texas ever sees rain again, I am sure it will drain as designed. These guys are really great. Please consider using them for your next project.

Excellent. They were timely and responsive to my questions and concerns. Wes was onsite for a large portion of the job, making sure the job turned out well. With so many dishonest contractors out there, it is a true blessing to work with someone and honest and hardworking as Wes and his crew.

They were right on time, listened and responded to our suggestions along the way and were in and out in an extraordinarily short time for the work that needed to be done (took just two days).

At first loved it. Looked great. Punctual. Wall was built higher than discussed but that was livable. Soon cracks developed in mortar. Took many contacts to finally get the major ones fixed. Sod base is uneven, like the fill or loam sunk. Not comfortable with long-term integrity. Disappointed in the limestone under trees which needs maintenance to keep the green gunk off. Perhaps a different material would have been better for the location, knowledge I expected from the company.
