Work was excellent

It went well.

Service was good and performed at a reasonable price. Technician was flexible too. I asked him to service my downstairs AC unit as well since he was out there. He happily obliged.

These guys are great! Every time we call them, they are out that same day to address our needs. They're fast, affordable, professional and do good quality work. We always call on them for all of our HVAC needs. We highly recommend this company.

Great. Suggested adding additional coolant

The technician inspected the AC unit and determined that it needed refrigerant. 4.5 lbs of refrigerant was added and I was charged for 2 lbs since the deal came with 2 lbs of refrigerant. The technician also recommended replacement of the starter capacitor, which I was able to do myself. The extra refrigerant was expensive, but a quick web search showed that the price charged was reasonable.

Not well. Coupon was purchased for freon charge and inspection. Their tech wrongly diagnosed issue and overcharged unit with freon. This review reflects the tech's workmanship not company.

Very important they came quickly. It is clear that is part of their business model. The $49 analysis and two pounds of refrigerant is an excellent deal even if you have a greater problem than what the deal provides. My experience was that the expert was friendly and knew his business. While it cost more, it was cheaper than some of the introductory deals I see out there. In an hour and for an additional amount of money that was reasonable our AC is working and everyone is satisfied including me because really the total cost was much less than what I expected when I started looking for a repair. Again a critical positive was that they came fast and on time.

We moved into our new home and noticed immediately that the A/C was not working as well as it should. Thermostat stayed right at 78 degrees and got no lower than 76 for a week. Needless to say this was uncomfortable, so I referred to Angie's List to determine who could come out to service/tune-up the A/C system without charging an arm and a leg. This was after I had talked with another company that was listed on our thermostat, and he was honest in saying he would have to charge $69.95 to come out and do a system diagnosis. From Express HVAC Services came a technician named Chris, who stayed in touch with me the whole time while I was at work (a young adult child of mine was at home though). He let me know that the system needed some refrigerant and that we were covered in this Angie's List deal for at least 2 lbs. of it. He also advised me about the capacitor that needed replacing or eventually the compressor would not work properly and the system would fail to turn on at all. He kept me updated on estimate of pricing for all of this and still did the tune-up service he originally came out to perform. In the end the system ended up needing about 3.8 lbs. of refrigerant which I told him to ensure we had, and we ended up paying a little more than we first expected. However the peace of mind of coming home to a house with a working A/C was priceless. You just can't put much of a price on that, especially if the other alternative was to not have service performed and continue to tolerate the heat. And just in time because right after Chris came the weather got hotter. I could not have been more grateful for Chris and his honest work on our A/C. He even told me about their very good service plan, which includes no charge for service calls and I think only $120 a year which includes two seasonal tune-up services, and with some kind of discount for any parts needed, ever. Great work, Express HVAC Services team!

Went well, capacitor was diagnosed as defective and was replaced. Was preventing AC from working correctly. The technician arrived promptly, kept me informed of his progress during the repair, and had a great attitude. At the conclusion of the service appt, I was offered an annual maintenance agreement for my AC unit for an additional $85, which I accepted.

At first they had a couple of issues getting parts ordered and in, but they rectified those problems quickly and professionally.

Our air conditioning was no longer cooling properly. In the past we have had the same maintenance service done for half the price by competing companies. However, this company had good reviews so we thought we would give them a try. The service was performed as described but the technician found absolutely nothing wrong with the AC system other than a small hole in the ducting which he did fix with duct tape. This did not fix the issue as the air conditioning would still not cool to the requested temperature. I called the company and they offered to sell me a preferred package for an additional $50 that would cover free house calls/estimates and 10% off service for the next year. I agreed to this in order to get the technician back out to the house in order to diagnose the problem of lack of cooling. After coming out again and spending two hours looking around and measuring the output of vents he said that he did not know what the problem was and that he was going to consult with one of the senior technicians. He left and that was the last I heard from this company. They failed to fix the problem and they dropped the ball getting back to me in a timely fashion. I do not plan on using their services in the future.

Serviceman was quick, thorough and professional. Inspected the outside unit thoroughly as well as the inside unit, reported no issues; just a few very small, minor adjustments which he made without issue.

They were excellent. Tim Burgess is the owner. The man they sent out was Ben Mieren. They were on the list of the company whom we have warranty from. They did a great job of correcting what the other man has done. This company was great. Choice company told us to use them and they were the closest to us.

The owner Tim is very responsive. I contacted him Sunday night when our unit went out, he came by Monday to diagnose the problem, and a brand new unit was completely installed by Tuesday afternoon. The crew was professional and I have been happy with both units they have installed. Thanks!

Tim and his crew are wonderful! I called and they showed up within an hour, and we live out in the country. The guys addressed our issue and promptly resolved the problem. Their professional, reliable, very courteous. I highly recommend Express HVAC.

Great! Kyle came out for the spring tune-up. He completly checked all 4 units and flushed the drains. He was very nice and professional.

I highly recommend Tim and Express!! We were experiencing a freak heat wave in May 2013, with temps almost 100, when my air conditioner just died, without warning. I called Tim/Express in a panic, and he calmed me by promising to come check it out the very next day. Tim did what he said he was going to do, throughout the whole ordeal, and was incredibly helpful to me, a single mom on a serious budget. When he had a working diagnosis, he walked me the issues and parts requiring repair or replacement in my older a/c system, and we agreed the best option would be to replace the unit. He was very helpful making this decision, professionally providing options and shared pros and cons of different systems choices. He was very patient and informative, never pushy. I feel like I made the best decision for my budget and needs, knowing I had been well-informed. After the decision was made, Tim again jumped into action. Tim & his team were committed to finishing the big job in one day, despite some complications with my deteriorating insulation in the attic... which he jumped in to help replace, as well, even though it was outside his scope of work. All the work was completed within budget and expected timeframe!! How refreshing! Also, I was thrilled to see my electricity bill go down based on the more efficient/newer unit. As an added service, I also received a reminder call for a follow up maintenance service 6-months after installation. Because my schedule was clear the next day, he came then and was able to complete that service around my scheduling needs. I trust and highly recommend Tim and his team at Express! They were reliable, trustworthy, professional, honest, and very knowledgeable. Tim personally made a very tough situation much more palatable, and helped me so much in my time of need! My son and I were cool again in a matter of days! Kudos to Tim and his team! Grateful for & impressed by Tim and Express HVAC!

Great! I have known Tim Burgess for a couple years and he is a great, honest guy. I have had bad experiences with other a/c companies prior to meeting Tim so I called him immediately when my a/c stopped working late one evening. He came over early the next morning to give me a quote and a date when he could get started. Everything went great and I couldn't be happier. My new a/c units work so much better than my old ones. House gets cooler a lot faster now and my electric bill is lower too.

Tim and his crew delivered top notch service. I was planning my 40th birthday party in July and had been having trouble with my AC for a couple of weeks. The night before the party, the downstairs unit died. Panic set in. There were approximately 60 guests coming to my house and no AC! We had a home warranty company that either sent us incompetent HVAC companies or never answered our calls, so I called Tim. He came that night, which by most companies is after hours. He diagnosed the problem quickly and came up with a plan. He made some calls and said he would be back the following morning, which was Saturday. He showed up early in the morning with a new unit in tow and worked the better part of the day to fix it. The AC was working and cooling by early afternoon, just in time for my party. My party would have been a disaster and most importantly, my family would have been miserable. I had a superhero themed party, but the real superhero was Tim and his staff. His level of service can't just be found anywhere. He's honest, fair, kind, and experienced and he will be the guy we will always call.
