Doleva Elite Tree

We needed a large number of trees trimmed and a couple removed. We wanted some trimmed very carefully due to our desired site lines through the trees. Chris and his team did a great job. Chris walked the site with us so we could go over what we were looking for. The morning of the work, Chris walked the site with the crew before work began. We are very happy with the results. We would hire this company again.

We have a very large property with many trees including pastures. We needed a vendor that could take some general direction while providing a fair price. We had many dead trees, trees that had dead limps, some old wood piles and trees throughout the property that need to be raised so that we could get tractors and mowers under them. I provided the general direction, they came back with a recommendation and a great price. We had to leave for a few days when we came back the job was complete with excellent quality and everything looked great! The most incredible part was I did not have to be standing over them. They did this work over several days when were not even there.

They set an appointment for 10am 5/2/2014 at 10 am-no show, no call I called and left a message-never returned my call Big waste of my time as I waited hours for them or at least a phone call

It was an A++ experience. We dealt with the owner, he was professional knowledgable quick flexible, efficient and even honored special requests. All in all it was an awesome experience.

I got an estimate from another company that is very well known in the area, and I thought the price was off-the-charts high. Someone who had trees removed by Doleva said I should call them, (Doleva) and I was very surprised by the price difference. The other tree service company's bid was $725. Doleva's, $300. I knew $725 was way out of line, as they quickly reduced the price by $200 if I'd commit that day. Still, the price was excessive. Chris Doleva also diagnosed fire blight on a Texas redbud and asked if I wanted a dead branch removed while the crew was out. When I made the appointment to have the trees removed, I forgot to tell him about the Texas redbud. When I paid, I asked him about the extra charge for the diagnosis and cutting the limb, and he said there would be no extra charge. Of course I would hire Doleva Elite Tree service again.

I no longer recommend Doleva because of the unreliable and unprofessional service.

I scheduled a time for Chris to come out on April 11th and give me an estimate for cutting down a dead tree and trimming the rest of the trees on my property. He said he would be here at 6p, but by 6:30, I still hadn't heard from him. I called to see if he was still planning to come and he said he was running behind and asked if we could reschedule. I was annoyed that he didn't take the initiative to call me about the delay, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and we rescheduled for 6:30 on the April 13th. He arrived on time and gave a reasonable estimate. He said he wouldn't be able to come out to do the full job for at least three weeks, but he would come in the next couple days to at least cut the top of the dead tree (which is hanging over my driveway) so it wouldn't potentially fall on my car. It's now been four weeks, and he has never shown up to cut the dead tree and I have never heard back from him. I finally called another company who is coming out next week to do the job.

Great! Mr Doleva was prompt and professional. I had been duped by a previous contractor on a home project, so I was really nervous to trust anyone. Mr Doleva was understanding and even let me know when he had to run an errand and leave his employee for an hour (who was also very nice and professional). He listened to all of my concerns, and offered suggestions as well. I would and have recommended Doleva Elite Tree to everyone.

We have had problems with a tree planted three years ago. Other tree services treated it but failed to correct the problems. Doleva treated the tree in the fall, and I requested another treatment now. The tree has responded very well. My neighbor came out while Chris was working on the tree. I noted that my neighbor's trees were very sick because the previous owner failed to water and fertilize them. My neighbor asked Chris to fertilze his trees. Chris also repositioned the support stakes which were planted in the root ball. Within a week my neighbor's trees were in full bloom and have never looked better. Chris did this for $25.00. His prices are the most reasonable. More important, he knows what he is doing.

We planted a chinese elm 2 1/2 yrs ago. Though it is growing, it drops its leaves every June. Two other tree arborists looked at the tree, fertilized it, and pronounced it healthy. Mr. Doleva immediately found the problem by pushing on the trunk: the root ball has not grown. Therefore, all fertilization around the drip line was useless. Mr. Doleva fertilized the root ball after questioning how the tree was planted including the container it was in. Without taking the tree out of the ground there was no way to tell the exact cause for the root ball to not grow feeder roots. Hopefully in time the roots will spread. Mr. Doleva said there was a method to help the root ball along, but the chemicals are very expensive, and it would be cheaper to buy a new tree. Mr. Doleva also trimmed four large live oaks in the back yard. He was professional, reasonably priced, and on time. I recommend him.
