Coronado Innovations is a local family owned and managed company. Skilled at a wide range of repairs, typically around the home. These tasks include trade skills, repair work, maintenance work, are both interior and exterior,
We hired Danny Coronado in April 2023 to do the landscaping and irrigation on our property. When we hired Danny, we told him exactly what needed to be done on our property and let him know he had until June 30th, 2023 to complete the work so it did not affect the closing of our custom built home. We gave him months to complete the work and paid multiple installments based on the timeline of the job. It involved building a fence, putting up 2 gates, installing irrigation and multiple zones to properly water our plants and grass, lay sod in the front and back, install 10 large Leland Cypress trees, plants 20-25 plants, stamp rock in front, lay rock on our 2 tier retaining wall, install a drip system, and oversee the project. From the beginning of the project, we had issues with Dannys work but we allowed him months to come back and attempt to fix the problems. He and his crew would tell us they were coming to work and not show up at all or be hours late. Days before our July 14th closing on our new home, the work was still being completed or fixed by Coronado Innovations. There were delays because his bank shut down his account after we paid him via credit card, stating that the amount we paid was too large an amount for his account to accept. Danny has had tons of excuses these past 4+ months as to why he couldn't come to the house to finish the work or fix the issues he caused to our property. He delivered dead plants to our home and I had to go get replacements at a local nursery. Danny and his crew raced to get the irrigation and sod laid without checking to make sure the zones worked properly. Over the 4th of July weekend, my husband and I spent hours watering the front and back and all the plants and trees since we had no working irrigation. Thousands and thousands of dollars spent on brand new landscaping and it was dying. We had flooding going on in the back, a busted water meter, sprinklers weren't in the proper locations, the grass wasn't getting water, the rock in the front was going all over our driveway, the wrong size rock was laid in the front and back, the landscape felt was done wrong so we have grass and weeds coming thru, the gate latch broke after 1 months use, the sprinkler wire is too shallow, the drip system doesn't work, the water pressure was super low because he didn't add enough zones, and the list goes on. He then turned off his phone and made himself unavailable for 10 days with no correspondence. Its September 8th and we are still dealing with all of these issues below: *All 10 Cypress trees are completely dead. *We've had a ruptured pipe on the side of the house for months *Sprinkler heads are not on the right locations *Sprinkler flow is shooting out like a hose rather than a mist *Sprinkler heads are too tight so cant swivel *Leak at the master valve for weeks so water bill was high *Rock in the front should have been 3-4inch so it doesn't run down the driveway *Car gets stuck in the front gravel because the rock is too small *The brand new gate is broken already. Latch fell off to the ground (again) *Drip system is wrong. There's no " brum ring is missing around the Cypress trees to retain water since they are located on a slope. *there needs to be 2 rows of drip lines around the plants in the backyard flower beds *Rock in the back is too small. Its overflowing down the retaining walls *Not enough water on the left side of Cypress trees and too much water on the right ones. *1st 2 weeks of water are crucial for Cypress trees so the roots don't burn and they had no water since he didn't check the zones and water supply to the landscaping *6 plants are completely dead *Zones were not planned out and organized *Zoysia grass is dead because it had no water *Sprinkler wiring is buried too shallow. *Another pipe was ruptured and there were rock and glue stuck in the piping that had to be flushed out. *Need thicker screws on the gate. The last time Danny came to our home was the 1st week of August. The entire month went by and he didn't come out to fix what he saw that 1st week of August. He said he had health issues, he couldn't get out to our house, we needed to wait for it to be cooler for him to fix the work, and so on. I would NEVER recommend Danny Coronado, Georgetown Awnings or Coronado Innovations to do any work! The Coronado Innovations website is no longer active and Georgetown Awnings is what we found and linked his name to as Operations Manager for that company. This gentlemen is full of excuses and does not know what he is doing.

Response from Coronado Innovations
After some revisions to an estimate a final agreed upon estimate was signed by both parties on 4/25/23. The customer proceeded to only pay a portion of the contract agreed upon which only involved the fence install. The customers paid the deposit with two separate Zelle payments within a weeks time period. for the fence only and said they wanted to begin with that(against contract agreement)They said they were trying to close on the house by a certain date so they wanted the back done first because of the pool completion they were trying to complete as well. We were told to Just do the back and sides of the fence because they wanted th spoil contractors to have access to the back with their machines. So we started with the fence line. We dug out the holes for the posts in accordance with the survey provided us with the property line. That weekend the customer. Informed us that the posts we put in were edging in to neighbors property. We disagreed. So they brought in the surveyor to look at and it was determined they we were right. We then were notified by the customer to tell us if we could start with the work in the backyard. I.e, sprinkler system, plant install, tree install and rock placement. We put in all we could working around other work being done by other.contractors trying to get done as well they asked if we could put in the trees first. I agree to do so. They hadn’t paid the full deposit yet but we in good faith purchases the trees and installed them. The following week they agreed to pay the remaining deposit for the work agreed upon minus the amount for topsoil install. Because they said the builder was going to do it instead(against contract agreement). The customer then requested to have a bigger gate than usual. We made the needed adjustments to do the requests and advised the gate would be extremely heavy but we would try and make it work. This created more time consuming work to fabricate and build a out of normal size gate that had to be switched out twice I order to accommodate the weight so it would work correctly. Then after purchasing all the material they informed us they needed special pool gate locks become of the pool in order to pass inspiration. We then informed the customer that the soil the builder applied was not enough and would not work for the sod. They agree to add the line item back but at lesser amount. So we brought in some soil for the sod to grow into. We the pit I the plants. At which the customer did not like the look of some of the plants. And notified me that they wanted to buy their own plants. They bought additional plants and charged me back for them. We had to pull plants and replant new ones. When we turned on the sprinkler system. We noticed that the water pressure was extremely low. The customers took advice from the builders On how we out in the system. And we were told we needed to install differently as other people told them. I advised it was done correctly but after several visits back and forth. We Installed our main control unit in the position the customer requested. And it made no difference. We took video of the pressure and it was the same. They had the city come and replace a regulator and it was the same. So we had to add several zones to help the system produce the water properly. Then the city was outbid water due to some problem that happened City wide. All of this happened during install of a new set of trees, plants and sod. And during the one of the worst heat and heat index in history. As well as zero rain and the city putting them on water restrictions I went back señera times and changed head and times on the sprinkler system. As well as treating the grass for brown patch and revive application to the trees. We made sure the tress were getting the water needed. I communicated with the nursery we purchased the plants and trees from. And I talk to others as well. They all said this at due to the weather we needed to be PATIENT because these trees and plant and grass will ho into shock at first and some will take quickly and others won’t. And some may not make it. The last visit I made. I informed the customer that we need to let it take its toll and see how they do. On my last visit there three trees that looked really distraught and 3–4 really burnt plants. I also counted about 18 squares of grass that I would recommend to replace. But I also told the customer let’s see how if goes once we increased the water times. And that I didn’t feel Comfortable replacing anything right now with this weather. After a week I messaged to change the times once more and see how it does. The next week I had a bad episode with my Blood Pressure and my advice was to take a break for. Work for a week. I normally don’t do this but I silenced my iPhone for five day and the.n the following Monday I messaged everyone what had happened and that I was back to work. I messages the customer as well and we communicated for several days. Two days later I received a message from them that they were not happy a wanted their money back. And that they had hired other contractors to work on the system. And that everyone told them it was done wrong and told them how they would have don it. When i talked to her she Said they wanted their money back because of what they were told. She said that I wouldn’t answer the phone. I explained why and that I had sent out messages about it. And the we had messaged each other two days ago. Even though they said they hadn’t heard from me in weeks. So I asked if they were stopping my services. She said they would get someone else. I never refused to replace or repair anything we did. And once any other contractor works on anything we installed, that voids our guarantee.
