The finished product looks good however, their workers applied Prime-A-Pell water repellent to the grout between the stone, and sprayed it on my picture windows on the back porch, and spilled it on the driveway. There are boot prints on the driveway where they walked through the Prime-A-Pell, which shows clearly when it rains on the driveway. The effect, when wet, is the same as if someone walked through a light color paint, and left boot tracks across the driveway. I sent them photos, and they sent their men out with a pressure washer which was ineffective in removing the water proof Prime-A-Pell. They also sprayed it onto my garage door, which is apparent when it rains. I told Janice Bowman about the poor workmanship, and she didn't respond after the ineffective pressure washing. I will show anyone who wants to see it, what it still looks like even after over two years.

It went very well. I just turned the hole project over to them and they got it done and they stayed on the project till it was done.

Bowman construction provided quality labor, materials, and design for a reasonable and comparable price for the materials and services provided. The staff was competent and courteous as well as easy to contact and work with. They stand behind and honor their work. We were so impressed and happy with how well this project went we are going to have them work on another project next spring.

They prepared a plan to meet our requirements as well as those of our HOA, and submitted the plan to the HOA for approval. Once approved, they removed existing turf and groundcover, installed commercial-grade weed barrier, and laid a decomposed granite pathway with stepping stones, large river rocks, smaller river rocks, boulders and low-water-use plants. We had a concern about one of the plants, which was promptly replaced.

They're just super. They were excellent. I like their timeliness and workmanship.

I was very pleased with the job Bowman did. They arrived on time every day and were very professional. They started on the agreed start date and finished on time with no cost overruns.

We got the plan but we had to wait a little longer for that. It was pretty slow. The plan was fine and the price seems right and kind of even with everybody else.

He came out and we discussed what I would like, since there are several regulations he was able to direct me away form plants he knew the association would not approve. After approval they came out first part of May and completed in about 4 days , putting in limestone border around the plants and it really sets the house off nicely.

I actually do not want to go into all the details. It would take too long. This company has a terrible problem with communication. The completed project actually turned out good but my patio still needs to be sealed. The delay for the sealing is my fault because I want to wait until the efflorescence (dusty looking areas) clear up which they have agreed to. I absolutely could not go through working with them again. It took them months to do what should have been done in 2 weeks, 3 at the longest. They didn't always show up when they were supposed to. We had trouble getting the correct pavers, the transformer that was used for the wall lighting is still sloppy. The seating wall had to be torn down and replaced. These problems could have been avoided had there been better communication. I hope this is an isolated incidence and that they don't work with other people the way they worked with me. If you hire this company please make sure you read everything very carefully and have everything in writing. I also suggest you get their permission ( by law you have to have their permission) to tape your conversations with them. I didn't do it but it may resolve some future problems with someone else. Take pictures from the beginning of the job to the end. I am still holding $500.00 back until the sealer is done and I am satisfied with it. This money is not reflected in the above price.

We hired someone else

The landscape architect met with us several times to tweak the plan. Jason addressed all our questions/concerns and listened to our thoughts related to the landscaping and patio. Ultimately, we ended up with a stunning patio and landscaping package that is just what we had in mind. From start to finish, the crews were conscientious. We were/are so impressed with the quality and the precision with which they completed the stone work! Both Charles and Janice Bowman made several site visits during the process and they were always available to address any questions. They worked with us, adding on a couple of features that were not in the original plan. The site clean-up was efficient and complete. Our patio, front and back, the fencing and landscaping are all beautiful...we love it!! We would definitely call Bowman Construction for any further landscaping needs.

They were on time, finished when they said they would, and the price was right. I was not disatisfied with anything. I would use them again.
