Atx Fence & Deck

This company replaced a wood fence in the back yard of my son's property in Wells Branch. Jared arrived within three hours after our initial contact to provide a quote. He and his crew arrived on time to do the work and did a wonderful job. They were meticulous in workmanship, exceeding our expectations, and they left the yard in better condition than when they arrived. We will definitely be contacting this company for other needs in the future.

Responded quickly, and promptly got us a quote . Very professional, and ready to start the job. They worked with us and our neighbors to make sure the dogs were secured. Took a little longer than originally estimated, but the job really looks great!! The price was great, too!

This was a very good experience. It was easy to arrange the work; quality work was done in a timely fashion; pricing was as promised. Experience from start to finish: the Owner Jared, came by as scheduled and did an initial estimate. I mentioned that this was a surprise for my wife who was out of town, and Jared made arrangements to do the job this week. Jared made clear what would be done, what materials would be used, and how long the job would take. A crew arrived the following day. The crew was diligent, the work was high quality, and the job was completed in 2 1/2 days. After the job was done, Jared came by for a last inspection, and did some very minor adjustments (replaced a chipped board, added a nail or two to corners) to be certain that they job was of the expected quality. The pricing was as we had agreed even though there was some extra effort on behalf of Jared's crew due to unexpected rotting in a section of the structure. The crew hauled away everything related to the project, and even offered to take some other debris that was in the area. We have a nice new deck, and nothing to clean up.

I contacted Jared based on the reviews here for a quote. He came out within a few days, surveyed the fence issues and gave me a fair quote. He was backed up working on other jobs, so he honestly told me it would be a week or so before he got to my job. I decided to wait and go with his team anyway. The team came and worked for hours digging out posts and rebuilding my gate. They were quiet, hardworking and cleaned up their work area each day. In digging out one of the posts that was set in concrete, they accidently hit the sprinkler. They came and told me about it immediately, showed me where they hit the sprinkler line and committed to fix that (free of course) quickly. And they did. Their work on my fence is solid. I would highly recommend them. As a side note - the huge windstorm that hit this area on 2/25 took out another section (one they didn't work on) of my fence. When I called Jared that day, he was honest and told me that I was his 42nd call for help. I told him I understood and would see if someone else could get to it quicker. Someone else did work on it but it wasn't a good of a job. Two weeks later, I noticed that my fence (where the other person tried to fix it) looked much better. There was a note from Jared on my front door saying he was sorry for that he couldn't help with the 2/25 job (they noticed the other person didn't fix it right and made a few adjustments for me anyway!). And that my friends is customer service! Again, I highly recommend them and would use them for fence repair any day.

Contacted twice and got a verbal quote for fence/gate repair over the phone. They said they'd come ou ont he 25th. I called that day, left a message and no one has returned my call or shown up to do the job they said they would do. Extremely frustrating since I said "no" to several other companies who couldn't get us on their schedule till after the 25th. Now the project is even further behind.

First, I must apologize to Jared (who is ATX) for not writing this review far sooner. My procrastination is actually a dis-service to him and the excellent work he did for me. In November, after checking with multiple contractors (from Angie?s List and other sources) I selected ATX and Jared to replace my front porch with an expanded wrap-around deck on my home. ATX had replaced my back fence in 2010 so I already had a positive impression and when Jared?s cost estimate arrived, that cinched it. Another contractor wanted 50% more to do the job. Jared and his small crew did what I consider an excellent job (and I have received numerous positive comments confirming my opinion from neighbors and walkers in my neighborhood). Their attention to detail and design was much appreciated since I did not have much to offer him other than ?I want a deck.? The ATX team was always courteous, they were thorough, careful, and fast?and they did a great clean up job before leaving on the last day, as well. Overall, this was a completely satisfying experience. I would definitely recommend Jared and ATX and will remember them for future work.

Very quick to respond to email. Very quick to come out and provide service. Super nice! They used existing fence panels to build gate so that I didn't have to re-stain the gate. It looks so good and works perfectly. The company who put in the existing fence quoted me $375 and did not seem interested in my business! I would not hesitate to contact Jared at ATX again!

I highly recommend Jared Yandell of ATX Fencing. He was very prompt in returning my initial call, in coming out to inspect our old fence, and in doing the job. I interviewed three companies and of the two that sounded good, Jared's had the better price. Sometimes the better price comes with lesser service, but this was not the case at all. I had been interested in looking at him to do the job because of a few Angie's List recommendations which said that he paid attention to detail and would do things the right way. He did just that. Rather than skip over any small problem, he addressed it properly. He was also very personable and accommodating. Our neighbors have ended up hiring him to replace their fences as well, and so far I believe that he has done this for six houses.

I was looking for someone to do some repair work on my fence at my residence. I called the company and spoke with the owner Jared Yandall. He was the one that came by to give the bid. I was not sure what the cost would be but had decided to some some repairs to make the fence stronger and not replace the entire fence, cost was a consideration for me. Jared was courteous and professional in his bid visit and arrived on time. He gave me 2 different bids depending on what I wanted to do one was for $1200 and the other for $850. I called a few days later to let him know that I would hire to do the job. That was on a Friday his phone was not working and could not make contact until Monday. He said his phone had been disconnected but was ok now. He agreed to do it the following on the next Monday however he did not start untill Friday Jan 25th and came back Monday the 28th to finish. Jared and one other worker did the entire job, did a very good and he was able to do the more expensive job for less. So even though we had a few problems with making contact and he was a little late getting started, I was still very satisified with the final product. He listen to some concerns that I had and corrected them and his job knowledge and the work skills were very professional. I would use him again.

It went as expected. They did the job they were supposed to do. We had some issues with the wood splitting, but they addressed it quickly. The quality of the fence is higher than the standard contractor-grade fences you see all over other neighborhoods.

Jared was friendly and knowledgeable. I WISH I had used his services because the company I finally selected was disorganized and did not do the things the way we had agreed. I will call on Jared at Atx the next time I need new fencing or repairs!!!

I called Jared for an estimate. He prompt came out the very next day and gave us a great price. He was so professional and quick to email the estimate we gave him the job. I replied to his email at almost 9pm telling him we were going with him and he was ready to start the job the next morning at 7am. The fence looks GREAT!

I got a quote from them and said they could go ahead and do it but they never showed up.

The whole experience was great. He and another crew member got there by 8:30am, dug out the old posts, put in all the new ones, and while he was at it, Jarred noticed a sagging gate, and fixed it . The work was done by early afternoon, and everything put back / replaced as it should be. Jarred was very professional, and very pleasant to work with. I'll definitely use him again when I'm ready to replace the whole fence.

Jared and his brother in law arrived on time and ready to work. He was a sub for my large patio job (pergola, concrete, flagstone, built in BBQ grill) and would build the pergola before concrete was poured. We discussed my needs, he listened and proceeded to build as discussed. I was shocked - these two guys built a 12' X 12' cedar pergola in about 11 hours! Jared is a "detail" man and likes everything to look right. I liked that! The pergola turned out great! Now I can't wait to get the concrete, flagstone and BBQ pit in.

This company has inspired me to write my first Angie's List review. Jared and his crew have it all: superior quality (Jared hand-picked the pergola lumber), craftsmanship (looks gorgeous), punctuality, professionalism and the right price. I would gladly recommend Jared and Atx without hesitation. I will be contacting him again to add a gate in my back yard. 100% completely satisfied customer here. A+++

It went great as I expected. Jerad and his crew were on time after he intially came by to measure everything. They remove back portion of fence and extended it in no time. used the same higher grade wood as the rest of the fence is and added 1 gate, pretty standard in back, added 2 new doors/gates on the side of my home, then he suggested to do a custom gate toward my neighbor where you can open just the top portion of the gate so it's open to talk to my neighbor on weekends easier w/o my dogs getting out. That looks awesome. Thanks again for all the hardwork! Will recommend as I have, and use you in the future to build a new shed for my exercise equipment and if budget allows, redo and extend my very small closet. See you in the future and thanks! Jodi

Great experience start to finish. Jared showed up within hours of my phone call to provide a bid - on the weekend no less. It took me several days to even get a call back from the larger companies I called. Jared came highly recommended from the landscaper I had hired. Boy, was she right! His bid was more than competitive and it was clear to me as I discussed the job with him that he really loves his work. This is a guy that gets excited about a beautiful fence, and takes pride in a job well done. He did everything he promised on time and on budget. My neighbors have been asking about who did my fence. I couldn't be happier.

Our fence needed to be rebuilt for some time but i kept putting it off. I got several quotes about a year ago but the quotes were either too high or i just didn't feel comfortable with the contractors that i got the bids from. I decided this fall, i was determined to find someone to rebuild our fence. This time around, i got 3 different bids from various fence contractors. ATX fence came out the winner by far in the bidding process. I was very specific about what I wanted (If i'm going to spend that kind of money i want it to be exactly what i want) and from the get go Jared said he would work with me and do what ever i wanted. Jared, Victor and Carmen were on great!! They were on time every day (within 30 minutes -with a phone call- which i find acceptable with Austin traffic). It took them three days to do it and the fence looks great. I couldn't be happier with it. I especially like the design that Jared and his team have for a horizontal fence. It's finished on both sides with the pickets attached to the middle of the post, so both sides of the fence look exactly the same. This would have been very expensive for a contractor to build and would be considered 'custom'. I definitely recommend ATX Fence to anyone who needs a new fence.

Atx Fence and Deck came and measured but never gave me an estimate nor called me back. I found him un responsive and did not follow through. Apparently, he is too busy. I would have at least appreciated a phone call.

Jared was very professional and easy to work with. He was on time from the estimate to the finish of the job, which only took a couple of days. He was very careful with our sprinkler system and other wires and cables and did a great job on the fence and cleaned everything up nicely when he was finished. The fence looks 100 times better and the gates open so easily compared to what I was used to. Everything went very well and I will have Jared replace the rest of the fence after speaking with my neighbors about it.

I was extremely pleased with all aspects related to my new fence put in by ATX Fence. While the price was not the lowest bid that I received (a couple of "big" bidders were a bit lower but failed in other ways), I felt good about supporting a small businessman like Jared. He was polite on the phone, prompt about getting out to give an estimate, thorough with the estimate, and finally, with the entire job. Overall, just did a really good job. I do recommend Jared and ATX.

During the process of rebuilding our deck, he fixed many structural issues that were making the deck unsafe. These guys were on time and did a great job and I will definately be using them for all our future deck and fence projects.

Quote was right on target for our budget. He started within three days of us accepting his quote and finished 1 day ahead of schedule. Everything was picked up each day and the quality of the job was exceptional. I really liked that they did the work themselves which was the main reason I choose them over others. I would use them again if I needed a fence or any other outdoor wood work done.
