Aquamarine Pools of Texas

We are very pleased with our Aqua pool! From start to finish John and his team were thoughtful and responsive. To start, John helped us to design an amazing pool and spa that met all of our desires. I wanted water noise to wash away the sounds of traffic, John designed bubbler fountains that look like they belong at the Bellagio. We wanted the pool to be able to be used at night, the lighting is phenomenal and the colors are like nothing we've seen. We wanted a spa for the whole family, and it turned out shoulder deep and big enough to float in. We wanted a nice patio area that blended with our existing porch, and we got an amazing design that gives us three places to sit and enjoy our new backyard. Chuck, our project manager, was a one man machine making sure everything went smoothly even in the face of challenges, including ensuring our neighbors were happy. The whole project was fast, even with TONS of rain!

Steve came out to the house in May, and after speaking with him about my options, I decided to go with the Viking Bermuda. I was surprised when he told me that my install would not be until mid-August, but the weather in Texas had caused an installation delay for all current contracts and I was 8th on the list. Mid-August came, and I received a call that they would be out in 3 days to start the install. My wife and son were very excited. Mike and his crew showed up first thing in the morning as scheduled and immediately began work. After marking the yard and measuring the dig we were at a standstill. The equipment was delayed and did not show up until noon. Nonetheless, Mike started digging when it arrived but again had to stop when he came across a significant amount of rock. The equipment rental company did not deliver all the equipment that was necessary and we were forced to delay for 24 hours. Day two of the install and Mike and the crew had the pool in the ground. The next two days of the install consisted of leveling the pool, backfilling and installing the plumbing. On day six the pool was full and the forms for the concrete installed. Before concrete could be poured the City inspector had to come out for final approval and after a 48-hour delay, we were ready to go. Once the concrete was poured, we faced another delay, waiting for the electrician. The electrician was also very busy and initially said they would be out in 5 days, but Mike made a call and had them out to complete the job two days later on a Saturday. In spite of the delays that were no fault of Aquamarine Pools, the experience was top notch. The crew and John went above and beyond to communicate with me and talk me through the entire process. I planned on installing a waterfall after the install was complete and Mike went ahead and installed the plumbing for me at no additional charge. As of yesterday April 7, 2016, I have completed the waterfall and my vision is an absolute reality. If you are in the market for a pool, you cannot beat a fiberglass pool from Aquamarine.....

I used Aquamarine Pools of Texas. They are not timely. The guy below the big boss we had words and I never met anyone like him. He wanted a 5 star A+ rating and I told him to contact me three months after the install because I wanted to get to know the pool and all of that and he never contacted me.

Give them 50k, They install and then walk away. No English speaking installers. Stated he would be on-site during the installation. I as the buyer had to be the on-site manager due to Mr. Marrimans absence from the project. No training for first time pool owner and no returned e-mail or calls. Now lots of cracks in the concrete and peeling surfaces. Find a different company IMO. John Merriman sold pool.
