Description of Work: Temporarily fixed refrigerator and recommended a store (that we had forgotten about) to purchase a new one.

Description of Work: I had a Maytag washer. It started leaking water. The repairman said it would cost me as much to fix as it would to buy a new one $200. He said If I decided to buy, I could just buy from them and they would credit the service charge towards my purchase. He went on and on about he didn't think he could fix and got on phone with someone else. He said he didn't know how long repair would last so I caved and said I'd go ahead and buy appliance from their store. He took my old washer and a week later (when my schedule allowed) I went to their store to purchase new washer. Once I arrived, the place is a second hand store for rebuilt washers!! I immediately asked for their line of new washers --starting price $400. I told the lady what her technician guy told me and she was uninterested. I asked if I could have my Maytag back and she said it was too late. My maytag....only gave me one problem in the 5 years I had it. Since I was going to lose money off this deal, I purchased one of their new basic washers for about $400. It's cheap, no settings and definitely not worth all the trouble. I felt scammed! I joined Angie's list to avoid this and yet found myself right where I didn't want. | |Yes I should've reported sooner but I was just so upset about the whole ordeal that it made me sick. My membership with Angie's list auto renewed, otherwise I would've been perfectly fine without this service. That is until I received email looking like a groupon with a deal ....so here I am, hooked again. I sent email along with my $39 dollars for plumber asking for urgent service today. It's 4:36pm and I'm still waiting for a call back. I can't wait to hear what your recommended plumber is going to charge. After this, I no longer wish to use this service. Please cancel |

Description of Work: My Amana refrigerator was not defrosting/ice building up in freezer drawer. Over the phone, Mike gave me some things to try before he came out. Didn't work, so he came out and replaced defrost sensor. Still working fine.

Description of Work: I called to see about getting gaskets replaced on my Sears double door refrigerator/freezer. The receptionist was nice enough to call to get me a cost of the gaskets------about 125.00 each! That's 250.00 plus a service charge. I appreciated the info. She wasn't mad when I said I'd probably get a new frig. Then she told me to hold a hot hairdryer to the gaskets with the door closed, and that might fix my problem. These are great people.

Description of Work: He repaired the ice maker flapper panel door. It had broken off and would not let ice cubes drop down. I gave him the make and model number, and came prapred with the needed mechanism needed to be replaced. The gentleman was so nice and so courteous it was a pleasure to have him in our home. In addition, he saw the selection knob had broken off. He kindly put epoxy to tery and hold a "make shift" knob in place.

Description of Work: Having used The Right Appliances a couple of years ago to get another large appliance (a Laundry Dryer) back to work, I contacted them again on April 4, 2012, for help in stopping a water dripping inside my standup refrigerator. After I described the problem to the man to whom I was tranferred politely by the person who answered the phone, and told him the make of the frig, he described what he thought was most likely the cause of the dripping water and explained in detail how to deal with it, which included using a hair dryer to defrost the freezer apparatus at the back of the freezer section at the top of the frig. A friend who lives here and who is more skillful than I at such work helped me do what he had recommended, and after we had plugged the frig in again and used it for a couple of days, we were pleased to note that there was no more dripping. I phoned the company and proposed sending them a modest check in payment for their service by phone, which after all had taken a bit of their serviceman's time as well as his expertise, but they did not accept the proposal. They said just think of us if you have another problem sometime. I certainly will, and I recommend them highly to others.

Description of Work: We have an old refrigerator and the ice maker broke down on it. The Right Appliance servicemen came out, diagnosed the problem, had the part and installed it, all probably within an hour. Our ice maker is working fine now! I was very pleased with the service and will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Refrigerator wasn't working - turned out to be the fuse box - I had checked all the breakers but the tested them and found one that was tripped but still in the on position - the fixed it and were done - very nice and efficient

Description of Work: THEY DIAGNOSED A BUILT-IN DOUBLE OVEN AS HAVING A BURNED-OUT COIL ELEMENT. THEY ALSO LOOKED AT AND DIAGNOSED A DYING WASHING MACHINE AS HAVING TRANSMISSION AND MOTOR PROBLEMS.
