+ -1 moreI called for an estimate on Thursday which was provided to me on Friday, Work was scheduled for the following Monday at 9 AM. They showed up on time and handled a difficult install in a very timely manner. They cleaned up after themselves and then Robert sat down with me and went over the new Thermostat settings and explained why my previous system was inadequately heating/cooling my master bedroom. He even installed a new attic tent over my stair access door to keep the cooled/heated air from escaping into the attic. My bedroom was immediately warmer and I have had no need to use my portable heater at all. In fact I had to change the heat setting from 68 to 66 because it was so warm, we previously had it set on 71 and it was always cold. We even turned down the heat on the other system because the new one was providing so much heat. Robert says I should see approximately a 30% reduction in my electric bill and I am looking forward to that after last summer. A BIG THUMBS UP TO THIS CONTRACTOR!
Description of Work: Live in a 2700 sq ft home with two central air systems. The system on one side of the house was replaced about 2 years ago but the one on the right side has been dripping outside for a couple of years because of a broken part that could not be fixed. I was told by several contractors that the system was not adequate, even for the year it was installed and should be upgraded. Also that the freon used was no longer manufactured and would cost alot to get. I was given this contractor's name by the realtor that sold me this house and told what an honest and reliable person he was. I called him when the system first broke down and he has nursed it along until we could afford to replace it. Last year he attempted to help me get a new system financed and it didn't work out so this year we got the funds, called him back for a new bid which was only $400 more than last year and had him install the new AC. Its a Carrier, SEER 16 with variable speed. Asked them about looking at the duct work because the master bedroom was always hot in the summer and cold in the winter, the space to enter the attic was small and the system was back in the corner, very difficult to manuever through the crawl space but they did it in a timely manner. I was surprised they were finished before I had to go pick up my granddaughter from school.

+ -1 moreI called in the morning and they came out that afternoon. The flame on our gas burner kept starting and stopping multiple times and had trouble staying lit. Robert disassembled the unit and cleaned a sensor that tells the computer board when the furnace is lit. After he cleaned the sensor, he not only took the time to show me where it is located, he even left me a small cleaning cloth to clean it myself! He told me that if the problem recurs, a circuit board might need to be replaced and to call him. That has not been necessary as the furnace is working like new again. In this day and age, folks who are honest, reliable that go the extra mile, need to be recognized.
