Reconfigured backyard for better coverage with very substantial heads instead of big box sprinkler heads. Replaced the majority of all sprinkler heads and adjusted everything for better coverage. + -1 moreHe showed up and check the entire system. We had a few problems that were repaired and maybe 1 or 2 that will be addressed at a later date. He was very informative and showed us everything that was broken before repairing it. He provided explanations on every what and why.
Description of Work: I purchased this deal because I broke the head off of a spray nozzle on the sprinkler while trying to adjust the direction of the water spray. LOL

He gave me a fair quote and kept his commitment on the price even though we made several modifications to the original plan. His team was very professional and helpful as I asked them to do a few things for me on the side. They were there for 4 consecutive days working 10 hours each day. I am very happy with the end-product. I would definitely recommend him.

+ -1 moreOn Saturday July 2, 2016 we had SOD installed in our entire front yard. Our sprinklers however were not up to the task of watering and keeping this expensive project alive. Lucky for us I found Southern Comfort Lawn. I called Bryan on Tuesday 7/5/16 and ask how long it would be to get help. After telling him my problem, he said he would be here in 1 hour/ REALLY ! He showed up a he said, surveyed the problem and gave me a cost to fix. I agreed and he went right to work. We are 100% good to go now, grass is happy and we are also. NOTE: Bryan, also did a considerable amount of work on some tree and vine areas in our back yard, rewired the sprinkler control box so the order of watering was correct. Loaded a couple of items in our truck we could not lift, and DID NOT chaqqrge us for any of this. If you need help and quality honest service this guy is it. Call him.

He as always answered my calls and taken the time to answer my questions and give me detailed explanations as to why he was performing certain things in a way that was easy to understand. I would recommend Brian with Southern Comfort landscaping to anyone out there that is looking to make upgrades to an existing system or who is trying to put in a new system.
Description of Work: Brian came out and fixed several broken sprinkler heads, moved several heads, and added several heads. Brian also located all of the valves, clean out the boxes and the box for the double check and did some work on the wiring for the system. I am really happy with the work Brian has done so far. He still has several upgrades that he is going to do. My yard is getting watered much better then in the past and is using less water. I am more than pleased with the work that he has done.

After checking why one zone was not coming on anymore he detected the problem and, since the previous device was still under warranty, he offered me a good price for the replacement and upgrading to a digital rainbird controller. He came prompt within two days of calling him - since it was not an emergency - and fixed the problem right away, though it was already evening. I had Bryan Moore work for me twice before and he came by the same day I called and did the work right away. I can highly recommend him.

+ 0 moreIt went very well. Bryan Moore was good at communicating what he would do and when it would be completed. He started by completing a design and thoroughly reviewing it with me. Then he removed the old plants and bushes, redid the irrigation system in the front bed and yard and prepared the bed by turning it and adding mulch/inorganic matter. It was backbreaking work and it was performed promply and in an excellent manner.
Description of Work: Southern Comfort did a landscape design, removed the bushes and shrubs from my front bed, redid the irrigation system (including changing a valve) and prepared the bed for planting by turning it and adding mulch. There were many tree roots that had to be removed as well as a crepe myrtle that was hard to remove.

+ 0 moreWe called Bryan in a quasi-emergency on a Sunday, as our sprinkler system was stuck ON. He came out that afternoon, diagnosed the problem, and got the water shut to the system shut off for the day. He returned two days later to complete the job, including new handles on our shut-off valves, a new "brain" for the system (which was VERY old and had caused the original problem), and a remote device for compliance with local regulations on watering restrictions. He did a fine job, explained everything, and was reasonably priced. I recommend him.
Description of Work: Repaired sprinkler heads, replaced sprinkler system "brain", installed remote control shut-off device.

+ 1 moreHe appeared arrogant and did not even trouble shoot the obvious area where the cut wire could occur. He first charged an hour of the foundation repair company and tried to charge me a separate $375 repair out of my own pocket. I would not recommend this company to anyone else and have told the foundation repair company not to use this business again.
Description of Work: This company was sent by the Foundation Repair company to trouble shoot my sprinkler system that was working before the foundation repair and was not working after the repair. The technician came and took a look at the control box and said the wiring was all wrong. He went outside and looked for the control valves. He then came back and said the original sprinkler system installer did not do a good job in wiring and used non-waterproof twist caps to secure the wires. He said the reason my sprinkler system was not working was the wiring problem. I asked about the possibility of cut wire during the foundation repair and he said that is not the case. He replaced one sprinkler head and charged the foundation repair company an hour of work. He then quoted me a separate $375 to fix the wiring problem (but I told him the sprinkler was working before the foundation repair and I am the orignal owner since 1997 - I told him I have a hard time believing that my malfunction sprinkler was due to wiring problem and not cut wire). I inquired about what exactly he will be doing and how much time he will take. He became furious and said he may be able to work fast and finish earlier than anticipated and be able to charge less. He refused to tell me how much time it will take him and gave me no assurance that this was the only problem for my malfunction sprinkler system plus he did not even dig up any soil to inspect possible cut wire. I told him I don't have the budget to repair the sprinkler system. He then offered to come down to $300 and said this is the final offer. After my repeated refusal, he left my home angry and said call him when I have the money.

+ 1 moreThis was a huge savings for me when they could have taken me for a ride. They also took out my deck and patio and they put in a flagstone patio for me. The put in a grouted deck lower level and then put in a raised deck near my house using the graded ground soil. They used very fine, pea-gravel like granite so the water could drain out. It looks really nice and I never would have thought of doing that. They were extremely neat and packed everything up at night. It always look nicer after they left than when they came. They are diligent workers.
Description of Work: I called them to put in a french drain, but they ended up talking me out of that because it would be more expensive. Instead we regraded the ground around the entrance of the house.
