MONROE CABINET SHOP

Mr. Dixon was very responsive. He provided sketches, suggestions, and estimates promptly. The job mushroomed and he took on the additional work without a complaint. When we had some problems with the measurements and finishwork, he made sure things were fixed to our satisfaction.

Contacted Monroe cabinet shop. Spoke to Bob's wife at first and scheduled a time for Bob to come out. Bob came over on a Saturday and we discussed what we wanted. Bob sketched everything while he was at the house and provided an estimate. Bob has strong opinions on what works/what doesn't (and is a real fan of drawers). He subcontracted the stain and painting of the cabinets to match existing finishes and they did a fair job matching the finish. His crew came to install and spent 4 hours one day and another 2 hours the next day to make sure that everything was trimmed to match the existing cabinets. We were pleased with the craftsmanship of the cabinets and the installation.

Bob Dixon was referred to us in July 2004 as we were beginnig a kitchen and den remodeling project. Bob came out and discussed our plans and helped us formulate what was feasible for our kitchen. Although Bob can be a bit cantankerous at times, he is very thorough and professional in his work. I respect his knowledge and his workmanship and even stopped by his cabinet shop to see where all the work is done. When he and his crew arrived with the cabinetry, it was beautifully built and they got it installed. We had to hire a separate person to match the staining to our original cabinets and are very satisfied with the final outcome.
