GARLAND GLASS & MIRROR

A warning to fellow AngiesList members, I called this company for a quote on the installation of two Sunsetter window shades and was quoted over the phone a price of $800.00. Bear in mind, the other quotes I have received for what is essentially installing a pair of outdoor window blinds has ranged from $80 to $220. The agent (owner?) of Garland Glass and Mirror state that this was his "labor cost". He also implied that the charge of $800 was also due to me purchasing the shades directly from the manufacturer, rather than via Garland Glass and Mirror. Based on the fact that the agent (owner?) was perfectly comfortable with providing an estimate that essentially equates to $400 per hour in order to put up a pair of blinds, I'm not sure this is the type of company one should be doing business with.

A crew of 2 came to install the shower. While installing it, I heard a loud noise and found they dropped a drill on my countertop and chipped it. They did not acknowledge that they had done it. The owner was not responsive when I called him and he told me that his crew said they did not do it. I asked him to come out on different occasions but he never did until I actually stopped payment on my check. Then he did come and look at it. We finally agreed that he would take $100 off my bill to compensate for it. Otherwise the product was good and the workmanship was fine.
