Easy billing: Matt just had me use the estimate as an invoice and mail in payment. Easy deal and no evidence of the crew recreating the Tom Cruise Mission Impossible scene in my living room.

+ 0 moreCalled FreeLite Monday, Jan. 20th. talked with Matt. He came out the same day to look at the skylight. As was agreed upon, a gentleman from FreeLite was here within 48 hours at 7 a.m., ready to work. He came in looked at the skylight, gathered his tools and went up to the roof. He was professional, polite and worked the entire time he was here. Also, he explained everything he did to fix the skylight and let us know to call if any problems.
Description of Work: Resealed a 2' x 4' skylight that was leaking air.

+ -1 moreIt went great. We did notice some creaking after the new layers were added to each skylight but we called and they were out here in no time to correct the problem. No issues at all and would definitely use this company again.

Matt (the owner) was very knowledgeable on the various types of skylights and which would be most suitable for bringing more light in the space. Installation went smoothly and after a minor design modification was implemented the job was completed to ultimate satisfaction. Matt's installers, Brian and Aaron were skilled tradesmen and were very considerate of my time constraints, my property and professional in every way. Would use Freelite again and highly recommend them for anyone seeking skylight installation.

+ -1 moreMatt and his crew were great to work with. The work was done efficiently, neatly, and professionally. With the existing skylight, 2 other bidders insisted that the skylight itself needed replacing, as well as new flashing. Matt said the skylight was fine; all that was necessary was new flashing and he was willing to back that up with a 10 year warranty. Obviously this was a nore cost effective approach. The faux skylight is great. We considered a Solatube, which is a somewhat less expensive. However, we are convinced that the faux skylight puts a LOT more light into the room. This is a fine company and I highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreI received a call the next day telling me that they had the domes ready and could install them as early as that afternoon - at my convenience. i agreed to have them come right out and install them and the process was quite smooth and very professional. The domes that we chose to put in are white over clear (replacing bronze overclear) and I was assured that if I didn't like the effect - it allows more light in, but the light is diffused - that Freelite would change it out for bronze at no additional cost. I really like the effect of the new,white skylight and the courteous, professional service that I received.
Description of Work: The provider came to the house and gave me a written proposal to replace a skylight and explained all the various options and the benefits and drawbacks to each. After discussing all the options i chose to just replace the double domes (with white instead of bronze) and leave the framing. I was told it would be several days to manufacture the domes and I'd be contacted once they were ready.

+ 0 moreWe had to wait a couple of weeks from my initial contact with them but that was because of the rain and not the fault of FreeLite. The men who came to do the job were very polite, worked diligently while they were here and answered all my questions. Likewise, the lady with whom I spoke on the phone was very friendly and answered my questions without hesitation. I would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again if I ever had a need for their services.
Description of Work: Over 20 years ago we had used FreeLite to add a sunroom onto the back side of our townhome. It has been a wonderful room but the squirrels ate the old solar screen they had installed all those years ago. Because I had lost the paper work on the original job it was quite by accident that I found their name on Angie's list and called FreeLite several weeks ago to come look at my sunroom roof. Today they took off the old screens and replaced them with new solar covers over my glass roof panels. The whole job was done in order to reduce the heat build up in that room and so, of course, until the summer heat gets here I won't really know how well it will work. But I have confidence in them.

+ -1 moreThe guys were very professional and personable. They showed up on time every day, took great care in protecting furniture and floors and cleaned up afterwards. They did a great job installing the skylight and framing it in. We also had a light bar installed and it's beautiful and lights up the entire room at night. The job turned out exactly as we had hoped. We couldn't be happier!
Description of Work: We had them install a skylight, frame it in and install a light bar. Then they removed the popcorn from the ceiling, retextured it and painted.

+ -1 moreThey were very instrumental in not so much fixing the problem, but helping me identify the issue. They were very prompt and very nice.
Description of Work: I had a leak in one of my skylights. A couple of guys came out, got on the roof and made an assessment. Actually, when they came back down, he said that there wasn’t anything he could really see in the skylight itself that would cause an issue. What they did discover, which I think eventually was the issue, was while they were on the roof they discovered my gutter had fallen because of some rotted wood behind it. A large amount of water was coming down on where the skylight was. That prompted me to get the gutters replaced and consequently was the answer to my problems. It has rained a lot since I had the gutters replaced and I haven’t had a leak.

+ -1 moreThings went smoothly. The roofer helped us to roll in this claim with the rest of our insurance claim, so we did wind up paying the cost up front. All in all a pleasure to do business with them.
Description of Work: All 6 of our skylights were knocked out or severly damaged by hen-egg sized hail on 6/13/12. Roofer who had been working next door before the storm came over to check our damage and recommended FreeLite. They visited and made temporary repairs on 6/14/2012, then put in an order for the skylights. They were installed on or about 7/2/2012. Considering the unprecedented situation, that was prompt service that kept more damage from happening.

+ -1 moreCalled in the middle of the night when our roof skylight blew off in a storm. Owner called first thing the next morning and said he would send someone to put a new skylight up so we would have shelter and would replace later at no charge if we decided on a different style or color.
Description of Work: Replaced skylight the next day after it blew off during a storm. So nice and prompt. Gave us all the information on the hone to make an informed decision. Truly felt they cared hat our roof was open to the sky.

+ -1 moreThey came within a few days to have a look, measure and give an estimate. They gave me a date for completion of the skylight, which they build. They gave me a date for installation - and as it turned out they were about 3 days later than that - but they had told me they were quite busy and would shoot for the given date, but might be a few days later. So it wasn't a big surprise. They removed the old skylight, took it away and replaced with new one. All was as expected and as stated in the estimate. I was happy with the whole process.
Description of Work: We sold our home, and in the inspection, they found a crack in the skylight. It had never leaked, so we didn't realize we had one. I found Freelite. They came out, measured, gave me a writtten estimate. The price was fair and they removed the old skylight, and replaced it with a new one. They did everything exactly as the estimate said.
