Freelite replaced all the old flashing around both skylights. The work was done very quickly. The installer made sure to lay down plastic over everything under the skylights inside so the dust and dirt that came in was very easy to cleanup. I've not had a drop of water from them since then. Freelite did an awesome job.

Outstanding. This is the 4th time I have used Freelite. The first time was in 1987 and they have always been a very reliable and professional company. The installers surveyed the attic to determine best location for the solar tube and involved me in all decisions. Results are spectacular. I have two skylights done by them, one skylight similar to a solar tube and this is my first solar tube. They have also been GREAT at providing support after hail storms. HIGHLY recommend them.

We had a terrible hail storm in this area and everybody was running late. The hail storm was earlier in the Summer, but they weren’t able to get the parts till late. Wasn’t their fault! They miss measured the first time. Our insurance company had recommended them, they were on the insurance list. They did a great job of installing it! The quality of their work was very good. The workers were very nice.

There was an issue with scheduling due to all of the storms this spring. However, after that was ironed out the service itself was awesome and I'm very happy with the results.

The person who manages their office quickly took down my information, asked me for all the details (address, damage etc). And I'd say less than a week later (which is great considering how many people had similar damage in my area) a man came to look at the domes, and even patched the large hole in one so we'd be in good shape while they made the new ones. Two weeks later they came out, replaced both of the skylights. From there simply paid the invoice then got a call letting me know that apparently they had misquoted me (in my favor!) All in all great experience, would recommend.

They came out to measure & made the skylight to order. Installed it within a couple days - not trouble - we didn't even have to be there. I asked repairman to check if the roof looked ok. He did no extra charge. They were very nice to talk to at the office when I put in the order.

My experience was top notch.. I wasn't able to be home at the time of the estimate, and they were willing to still come by and perform an evaluation as well as leave the estimate in my mailbox.. Aaron called me before he arrived, and again when he was done to let me know the replacement costs.. I gave him a verbal to proceed with ordering the replacement dome, which he stated would arrive the following week.. I received the call that the replacement had arrived at their facility, and scheduled a time for the installation.. Aaron called me when he was on his way, arrived to install the dome, and was done shortly there after.

SKYLIGHT REPLACEMENT After experiencing serious hail damage during a recent severe storm in Dallas & Plano, I contacted several top-rated Skylight Companies on Angie's List and fortunately spoke to the owner of FreeLite Enterprises, Matt Charlson. Explained to him we were not an Urgent project, nevertheless, his crew arrived within 2 days, despite the huge number of requests resulting from this storm. Matt's crew arrived early morning with replacement skylight on the truck and performed a great job, replacing shattered Skylight .... Total cost $315. Genuine, honest, family business .... very impressed they were not taking advantage of potential for inflated pricing, with the huge post-storm demand! Personally referred FreeLite to our Homeowner's Association, as multiple skylights were destroyed in our immediate neighborhood. Highly recommended .... this world would be a better place with more businesses reflecting Matt's character and professionalism! No need to seek multiple estimates, this company will treat you fairly the first time, even under extreme demand. I encourange you to o business with a truly genuine blue collar company that really cares! I am certainly happy we discovered FreeLite through Angie's List. The many A ratings are earned and well-deserved!!!

FreeLite sent a crew to assess the damage and provided an estimate for my insurance claim. They fully explained the extent of the damage and what they would do to fix it. After I authorized the repairs, they sent a crew to perform the replacement. They were very professional and came well prepared to deal with the very steep roof that they had to deal with. The replacement took less than 30 minutes. I was very pleased.

Called the office after looking them up on angieslist. They responded promptly and scheduled appt.. They completed work earlier than they had me scheduled for the work.

The skylight in my kitchen ceiling was horrible. It was broken, leaking, and had caused damage in the area of the wall shaft below the skylight. I did not realize how poor the skylight and the area around it was when I moved into the house years ago until today when I saw the completed result of the replaced skylight and their extensive work and attention to detail that took care of all the wall and ceiling areas. It looks and is amazing. Rick and Aaron made sure no detail was missed. Awesome job! Great pricing. Hope to be able to have them back to work on updates to ceilings.

The gentleman that came out to give me an estimate was extremely friendly. It was obvious that he knew what he was talking about. He said that I needed a new dome set, new flashing, a reseal and he would put new shingles around the dome. He also gave me an estimate of 1 week before they would come out to do the work. I was not contacted by Freelite within the next week for an appointment so I called Freelite myself. I spoke with the owner "Matt". He told me that they were 4 weeks behind schedule and I said that I would have gotten additional quotes if I had known it would take a month for them to get out. He got kind of snippy with me and said that I could get someone that didn't know what they were doing. Anyway, since Freelite is ranked with an "A" on Angies list, I decided that I would stick with Freelite to do the work. After another week, I still hadn't heard from Freelite so I called them again. The lady that schedules the work told me that she had spoken with someone at my house and had set up an appointment for that Friday. It is just my husband and me at our house and we didn't speak with her. The guy came out on Friday morning and worked for 3.5 hours putting the new dome in. The work looks good. We haven't had any rain yet so I don't know if it leaks yet. The only thing that he did not do was put new shingles around the dome. He re-tacked the old shingles so I am hoping that that won't be a problem. Recommendations: The owner probably shouldn't be answering the phones with his attitude. Seems to me that the gentleman who came out and gave the initial estimate gave me a 1 week start date just to get me to sign up for the job.

I really enjoyed working with this company. The return phone call from my Angie's List email was within 2 hours. They understood what was the probable cause of the leaks/interior stains around my skylights and made an appointment to come and give an estimate within the week. I was given a 15% Angie's List discount during the estimate and the cause of damage was as explained on the phone. Estimator was on time, friendly, and professional. I was told they were 3 weeks out from scheduling but would try to work me in as soon as possible. They were able to access the roof with no need to have backyard access or for me to be home. I was able to have the work done in about two and a half weeks. Furniture inside my sun room was covered to prevent dust/damage and 2 men worked from mid morning till late afternoon.They were prompt and courteous. I'm very pleased with the work and this company. Another Angie's List win!

I have used Freelite before to replace a Skylight Dome in the front of the house. Excellent job prompt and reasonable. This time had a problem with a skylight up two stories high in our master shower. Condensation was causing water to drip down the wall. Prompt response resealed and insulated the existing Skylight cured the problem. Very reasonable only charged for a service call. They have been around a long time in Dallas and have excellent references.

I had my old cracked skylight replaced in my bathroom. Everything was so easy! I did not have to be home for the estimate or when they did the actual replacement of the skylight. Everyone was wonderful to work with. The old skylight was clear glass and my bathroom would get so hot in the summers with the sun beaming down. They suggested I go with the white dome and I am so glad I did. Instead of having the sunlight beam down, it now illuminates the whole bathroom and provides much better lighting.

We have two skylights in our home. One is an older dome style skylight that was installed approximately five years ago in the upstairs bathroom and the other is a newer Velux venting skylight that was installed approximately three years ago in the downstairs bathroom, both replacing older skylights. We have had problems with debris and insects getting into the house by way of both skylights since they were installed. I contacted the original installer to come out and fix the problem in the past, particularly with the Velux skylight. The original installer did not properly fit the new skylight in the opening, leaving a gap for the outside elements to get in. After being contacted about the problem, his "fix" was to put a piece of flashing of some sort around the outside, but it still left an opening for insects to get in. We contacted Freelite about the problem and since he was on a job in the area, he came out promptly and diagnosed the problem. There was still a gap between the sheetrock and the skylight which was causing the problem. We scheduled for him to come back out and he cut the sheetrock so that the skylight would fit properly and he also sealed the upstairs skylight, something the original installer should have done initially. He was on time and was very professional, even for a small job. We have been very pleased with the results as we have had no uninvited guests in our bathtub since he fixed it for us. Also, there have been no signs of debris getting into the house. If we decide to upgrade the skylight in the upstairs bathroom, we will definitely be calling Freelite to replace it.
