Dryer Venting Services

I had noticed the dryer was not working efficiently for several weeks and finally realized that it was because it was not venting properly. Based on reviews in Angies List, I contacted D.V.S. The man I spoke with reponded the same day. The process took about 90 minutes and I was amazed at the amount of lint that had been trapped in the duct over the years (probably enough to fill a 55 gallon drum).

Arrived promptly. Spend about 1:15:00 at my home. Courteous, professional. Short on conversation, but I actually prefer that.

Robert came out same day we called. We had never had the dryer vents cleaned (11 years) and it turned out that we had several bird's nests clogging up the vents. He gave us more than our money's worth and we plan to have him come back annually.

Came on time, was very polite and neat. Dryer ran like a top after his repair. Very satisfied!

I found this company on Angie's List and couldn't be more pleased. Mr. Andrews showed up on time and was very professional. I purchased my washer and dryer from Best Buy and the installers crushed the dryer vent during installation. I had the Best Buy Geek Squad out here to figure out what was wrong, but they REFUSED to pull the washer and dryer out to look behind the units to see if the dryer was vented properly. Mr. Andrews figured out the problem immediately. He fixed the vent and then cleaned it up to the roof. He also found another problem near the roof and fixed it right away. I will definitely use his company again.

Flexible vent pipe to attic was full of lint, but Mr. Andrews figured out how to vent the dryer to the outside with a very short pipe and it cost only slightly more than cleaning would have. The new vent is so short that it won't ever get stuffed with lint.

After paying for two new heating elements for a fairly new dryer, I decided to have the dryer vent cleaned out by a chimney sweep recommended by an associate. The vent was not only clogged, but the venting material was in poor condition and needed to be replaced. It was also disconnected and dryer lint was discharging into the walls. The chimney sweep charged $95 to clean the vent and diagnose the problem and estimated an additional $515 to replace the vent. He did not have the materials on hand to do the job, so this gave me time to get a second opinion. I contacted DVS based on their excellent Angis's List reviews. (Wish I had called them first!) Robert gave me an estimate of $369 over the phone, came out the next morning and replaced the vent in about 90 minutes. He was very efficient, extremely professional and did the work for a fair price. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Considering the water in the dryer vent and the construction of the house which makes it difficult if not impossible to rerout the vent or prevent water in the future, Robert did an outstanding job cleaning out the vent so that the dryer dries in one cycle. He recommended what future action I should take in order to better manage this issue I have with the dryer vent. I would highly recommend Robert to anyone for dryer vent services.

DVS was great. They communicated well and were responsive to my messages. The work was clearly described, both what they would do and the cost. They arrived promptly and were very professional. They performed the work efficiently and effectively and now our dryer actually dries again. This is the second time we've used DVS and we would recommend them highly.

I was already expecting a very thorough and professional cleaning of my dryer vent based on the reviews I read on Angies List by other members. Robert did a great job of cleaning the dryer vent that included going up in the attic and taking the vent apart up there. He even removed some materials that were causing the dryer vent to clog up that were a result of the materials used by the roofers. I told him that I had anticipated his methods of cleaning would be superior to some of the others that advertise a cheaper price. He told me that most of the others that will do it for less do not even go up in the attic. He gave us a senior citizen discount for being over 65 which we appreciated. I highly recommend Robert to anyone that needs their dryer vent cleaned out properly.

He arrived on time late afternoon and worked late into the evening in my attic in very cold temperatures to finish our job. The PVC duct that was originally installed in our home had to be removed, which was quite a project due to vaulted ceiling. He cut all the removed PVC into small pieces so we could easily dispose of it. He did have to cut into sheet rock in laundry room to install new duct due to our vaulted ceiling. He did a very nice/clean job. He is very professional and will definitely use him again.

We have had problems for awhile with our Dryer taking forever to dry our clothes, but especially things like towels or jeans. I happened to do a search on Angie's List on someone who dealt with Dryer Vents. We figured our dryer vent, past where I could clean it out by hand, was filled with lint, so we contacted Dryer Venting Services to have it cleaned out more thoroughly. Robert showed up promptly at our scheduled time and went to work. He set up a ladder and removed the cap on our outside vent and turned on the dryer to check out the airflow. When he felt very little airflow on the outside vent he tried snaking out some lint and didn't find a whole bunch; but that was when he found the ductwork was disconnected. Going back inside he began to investigate further and cleaned out what he could, but told me he would have to cut into the area above the washer and dryer to get to the ductwork. He warned me that he couldn't replace the drywall and also how much more it was going to cost which I was fine with. When he cut out two sections in the laundry room where the duct ran we found the wall Filled with lint on one side where the ductwork had fallen apart. He disassembled the joints in the these sections of ductwork and fixed them(along with cleaning them out thoroughly), including putting them on cable hangers(which the builders should have done initially). He tested out the system including putting on a new outside cover over the vent and the airflow was much better. I could even hear the dryer running through the vent when I went outside. This fix has made a BIG difference for us to where it was trying us 2-3 times to dry a load of towels down to 1 run through the dryer. So this will definitely save us some money on the electric and gas bill. Thanks Robert!

When he arrived, he started working from the vent on the back side of the house. He had to leave the vent cover on as there was a built in bench on the deck which made getting the vent cover off impossible. In spite of the obstacle, he was able to get the coil in and clean out the line. Then cleaned out the dryer side vents and replaced the old flex hose at the back of the dryer with a newer metal line. He was professional, got the job done quickly and cleaned up after himself even using a dust pan to clean up the debris on the back deck. He was very tolerant of my very curious and very large Maine Coone cat who wanted to help out.

bought house and had two dryer vents. One that went into the garage and one that went into an interior wall and up through the attic and out the roof. When the washer and dryer were delivered they hooked the dryer to the vent going into the garage and that didn't seem right. I called Robert and ask him to come out and check it. Robert arrived right on time and said the roof vent had been previously broken. He cleaned the vent and then replaced the broken elbow in the wall where the dryer vented. He then went into the attic and found that the original installer had put a screen where the vent came out of the roof. It was clogged with lint. Robert took out the screen and lint and then fixed and replaced the elbow at the roof. He still only charged the same $139 that he had quoted me on the phone to clean the vent. Could not be happier with the experience

Great service. His quote was $129 and that's what I was charged, even though it took more than an hour. He says he builds the usual problems like the duct that needed replacing into his quote, which is great.

My dryer was not heating. Robert arrived on time and went to work snaking out the clog.

Our dryer hasn't been working very well and we decided to have them come out for a cleaning. Robert called us back on a Saturday, arranged for the cleaning on that Monday, gave us a quote and showed up within a few minutes of his quoted time. He advised what was causing the problems, cleaned the dryer tubes and did some venting tube replacement.
