Dallas Cedar Company

I was about to purchase lumbar for a fence. At this moment, I went by to purchase 8 poles (for only a portion of the fence job). It took me a lot longer to get started. Blanca from the start said that she would price match any other competitors. So in my research, I found a place that had the poles slightly cheaper than what they were selling them to me for. She gave me the cheaper price. So I go in, buy the poles, concrete, etc. I just started the job last weekend. Well guess what. They charged me for 11 foot .095 guage poles, what I got is a significantly lighter pole. Cheaper quality. These guys ripped me off and they know it. I called to speak to someone about this and they never called me back. Oh and by the way, I saw the quality of the cedar they supplied for another fence job. I have since seen the quality from another competitor. Dallas Cedar quality is p*** poor. I will never use them. I believe they provide sub-par quality material. I've seen it. To someone that isn't in the business, they will take advantage of you. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else!

The material was of terrible quality, the posts were severely damaged.

We were very unhappy with them. They were total jerks basically. First, when we went shopping, they told us one price and then they told us a different price when we went to buy, which was higher. While we were shopping, they said if we did the upgraded wood, it would have no holes, no splits and not warped. There were all these great things they said about the wood they were going to send out because we are paying more money for it. When it got out here, at least 10 to 15 boards were warped and split and had holes in them. It was totally ridiculous. They picked it up once, they went through them and they found 13 to 15 board that were totally unusable. They took about 4 days to deliver them again and again, they had marks on them so they sent them back again. On the third or fourth delivery, at picking up different boards and trying to make it right, we never did get all the boards replaced. We had to live with three 18-footer that they did not want to send the truck out and there was no way to get them to us so they just flatly said screw you, live with it. We gave them the option, we said you can pick them all up, give us the full credit and not charge us a restacking fee. They said no we are not going to do that. We are going to charge you a fee and it was 3% or 4%. It was a high amount and that was for the stuff they screwed us for. They were the most horrible business I have ever ever dealt with.
