I picked them out of the phone book before I got on Angie's List; they quoted me this price that includes mowing in the front, back, sides and alley grass. They told me to leave a check with that amount under the doormat and will come anytime during the appointment day. I did try to call them the day before around 4pm to confirm the amount, but I didn't reach anyone twice with both phone numbers. Their hours are suppose to be until 6pm. So I left a message, and got a muffled voice message that I didn't really understand from them later. So I left a check with the hopefully-correct-amount under the doormat. When I came home from work, they mowed everything as committed. But I was also pleasantly surprised they pulled the weeds between my brick patio in the backyard and swept all the leaves and acrons too! I'm a new home owner, so I only heard of how much others cost through coworkers. It appears they are more expensive than others, but I'm a satisfied customer.

I called for an estimate, and a woman showed up at my house without calling me. I was not at home, so she viewed my front yard, and I told her the number of shrubs in the back yard to be trimmed. I was given a $250 estimate, which I thought high, but accecptable. They forgot to put us on the schedule for Saturday, as I had asked them, so after calling 3 times, we were able to get someone to show up after waiting all day. The workers started on the ivy, and trimmed a few bushes. Then they went into the back yard, and came top tell me that the back yard was no longer included on the estimate because it looked like too much work, even though I had a written estimate saying it was included. They said it would be double price- $500. I went inside to call the woman who had estimated the job, and while I was doing so, the crew just left, leaving half full garbage bags all over my lawn, and the job not done. So, I, 5 months pregnant, had to haul the bags to the curb and finish the job myself.
