Chem-Dry of Oklahoma

After cleaning the carpets and applying protection, two streaks were left in the carpet in the formal living room. After contacting the company, they tried to remove the streaks with further cleaning. When that did not work, I was assured the company would contact me for further resolution. The company failed to contact me, so I re-contacted them. After I contacted them several times, they represented they would follow up to resolve the problem, but failed to do so. The company has stopped contacting me, and appears to have no interest in correcting the problem.

Aaron asked me for my Angie's List purchase. I printed out the specific offer from my purchases dated March 22, 2017 with the coupon code. When I gave it to him, he said he needed the actual payment receipt. When I told him that's not what he asked for, he got a little attitude with me. Usually on previous Angie's List purchases for several years, I provided the purchase request with date and coupon code on it, never the actual receipt which the service provider should have already received. I have had my carpets cleaned before and have always been told how long it would take before we could walk on or put furniture back. No instructions were provided Thought maybe instructions were on the invoice provided. There were none.

Went great. I will call them again.

After two weeks I heard nothing. I started calling daily, sometimes several times. I was lied to, put off, and never got a good answer as to where my rug was or when I would have it back. Finally after a couple of weeks of getting nowhere, I got a call that my rug was ready to deliver. When he showed up and placed it on the floor, I could see that it was ruined! The rug was predominantly white when I bought it and when he left with it and it came back grey, frayed, and stained! This damage can not be corrected! I've tried for over six weeks to get an owner to talk to me and have had no response. I will be hiring an attorney now but I really hoped this could be taken care of without going through court! All in all, I have never used a business that really didn't care if you had a problem with their service. These people should be put out of business!!

It was fine. The price seemed fair enough for what they did. They got it done pretty quickly. They were there when they said they would be there.

My carpet was cleaned three days ago by ChemDry. The service call was uneventful and the service technician arrived very properly and was nice and professional. The problem is my carpet looks exactly the same. I was hopeful while it was drying that it would look better and the spots would go away but that never happened. All the spots are still there, which were not a lot and from normal wear and tear of walking, nothing extreme, but was the reason for the shampooing. Although the high powered vacuuming made it look nice, the carpets pretty much appear nothing was done. It only took him about 30 minutes to do two rooms and only went over once. Not sure that is normal. Just disappointed because a lot of work went into moving furniture and preparing to have cleaned. Will not use ChemDry again.

Had an initial hiccup with date of service. Company stood behind date given by individual who did the estimate. Gentleman showed up to do the carpets and was very mannerly, polite and professional. Took a little longer than originally thought but our business is on a very busy corner, Campus Corner in Norman, and hoses had to be drug upstairs. The gentlemen doing the work had no complaint about the distance from his truck and worked diligently, professionally and happily. He always had a smile on his face.

Scheduled appointment for 8/7 12-3 PM. Waited until 2:30 to call, was first told, well they have until 3. Man I love that. I had to call back at 4, since they didn't call as promised. Was told it was going to be later. I rescheduled for 8/10 (today), was promised 1st job. I called at 8:45, was told sorry but they went to another job and it would be 9:30 or 10. I said no thank you.

The short story: it took two visits but they did a fabulous job. We had the tile in our home replaced and our carpet was seriously soiled with grout and mortar dust . On the first visit, the technician showed up on time, was very polite , pleasant , and professional. My husband had moved all the furniture prior to the technician's arrival. The technician vacuumed the carpet , then proceeded to clean them. I was in a different room with our dogs, so I did not see the process. For the most part the carpets were cleaner, smelled fresh, and dried within 2-3 hours with fans blowing across them. However, the heavily soiled and high-traffic areas were still very dirty. I could still feel the mortar dust in the carpet. Because the carpets had been so filthy, I didn't complain , but just planned to get the carpets cleaned again in three or four months. Chem-Dry sent me an email a few days later asking if I was satisfied . I replied that for the most part I was satisfied; however, that there were areas that were still quite dirty. Chem-Dry responded that they would send out a senior technician to clean the carpets again at no cost. The second visit , the technician was punctual, super friendly , very pleasant , and professional. He assessed the carpets, listened carefully to what I had to say, and said that though the high-traffic areas probably would not look like new , he was confident that he could get the carpets cleaner. He moved furniture, vacuumed the carpets, and proceeded to clean, deodorize, and protect the carpets again. After the second cleaning, the carpets looked much better . It took them significantly longer to dry, probably six or seven hours with fan blowing , but the weather was very humid . Overall, I was happy with the outcome and will definitely have Chem-Dry clean them in the future.

The carpet were left very wet like the machine did not get up most of the chemicals.

That service turned out well. I had them clean 2 bedrooms and a den. They did the basic carpet cleaning.

They had a special on for two rooms and a hallway for $99. They did a great job on some very dirty carpet.

The cleaning left a residue, so much so, that my husband went to Walmart and rented a carpet cleaner machine. He cleaned it all over and did several areas more than once, because the 'tub' of water was dirty through several times over the carpets.

I purchased the services through an ad on Angie's List, it was 3 rooms and a hallway for $99. I got a confirmation that they would call me to schedule the service. I gave it a couple of business days but never heard from them so I tracked down their number and called. We scheduled the appointment for the following Saturday, November 15. My mother was in the hospital so I arranged for my brother to wait for them at her house. He waited 3 hours and called me because they never showed up. I was able to get in touch with the office and they had mistakenly scheduled the appointment for the following Saturday. I rescheduled for Saturday, the 22nd. Unfortunately my mother passed away the following day and knowing we would have out of town relatives visiting, I called and scheduled for Chem Dry to come earlier in the week. We were told to be at mom's house between 8 and 9 AM, we got there at 7:45. At 9:05 I called the office, she called the driver and he apologized for being late but said he would be there within 20 minutes; 45 minutes later he showed up. They did an "OK" job, I think because he was running late he rushed through the cleaning but emotionally I just didn't have the energy to argue about it.

The good first, the guy showed up on time. Now the bad. He was very sloppy with the chemicals and machines he was using, spraying the walls and making our tile floors slippery, and left streaks that he missed on the couches. He complained about having two sets of houses that day because someone called in sick, and mine was his last house. When he had finished the job I was able to scrape off residue he'd left on the couches with my fingernail. He told me everything should be dry in 4 to 6 hours, however the next day the furniture still had not dried. After I gave him his check and he left, my husband left the house and found the check I wrote in our driveway! I immediately called the company back and after they apologized wanted to know how they could get their check back. I couldn't believe it! It took me almost a week to reach the owner who finally agreed after all that I didn't need to pay. We got the carpet cleaned again a week later by a different company who had the carpet and sofas multiple shades whiter when they finished. I will absolutely not being using Chemdry again.

The cleaners showed up on time. They suggested right off the bat that I upgrade to the pretreatment, for $10 a room. I told them that I wanted only the service I had paid for. They said they would certainly do that, but that with the $99 package they couldn't guarantee the results. They used their scrubbing machine to clean the carpets in the agreed-to areas, but it really didn't look good. It looked kind of like it hadn't been cleaned at all. When they were done, I told them I wasn't pleased with the result, so I went ahead and paid them an extra $30 to spray the carpets, after which they recleaned them. The scrubbing machine broke when it bumped into a piece of exercise equipment. The cleaners discussed whether to go back to their shop for another machine or finish the job with a spray wand. I told them either was fine with me, as long as the carpets got clean, so they did most of the recleaning using a spray wand. This left the carpet really wet. I think the scrubbing machine would probably have gotten a lot more of the water out. Instead of an hour and a half or two hours for the carpet to dry, it was more like 24 hours before I could move the furniture back into place. The carpets look good. I have no complaint about the way the carpets look at all. The cleaners told me more than once that it was important to them that I was satisfied with the job, and I liked that. They told me that if I found any areas that weren't cleaned to my satisfaction, they would come back and redo them. I was disappointed that the package I bought initially wasn't sufficient to really clean the carpets and an upgrade was required to get a good result. If I decide to use them again, I'll know to go ahead and pay the additional $30 up-front.

I purchased the Angies List deal. I called to set up appointment and they were very easy to work with. The main reason for this review was to compliment the tech who did the work. I can't remember his name but he was a very sharp and clean looking young man. He did a fine job and was very professional. He was also a hard worker. Please look up who did my work and let him know.

The company reps responded in a timely manner and were knowledgeable and courteous. After describing my problem, it was determined that their service would not do what I needed.

They showed up on time as they said they would. They were very professional. However, the cleaning did not get rid of the odor (I assume it was the cat odor. I moved to a new house and previous owner had a cat). I ended up buying the carpet vacuum cleaner and did the cleaning myself. To my surprise, the carpets were still really dirty. The amount of the dirt that came out were unbelievable. My carpet vacuum cleaner also got rid of the odor. I wish I had just done the cleaning myself in the first place instead of wasting my money.

First the positive. The technician is very professional and is a very congenial person. Now for the negatives. The appointment was set from 12-3, the technician arrived around 3:45 to 4 p.m., (as a retired professional, in my opinion this has to do with over-scheduling and lack of manpower on a two person job), since the job was getting accomplished at a later time (1) the job became rushed, (2) carpet areas cleaned were just around the couches/chairs (3) and now we have the end result......I will have to get the carpet cleaned AGAIN. Granted we paid 99.00 for the job however the end result does not match the work promised on the advertised coupon and if this is what they do on a special why would I want to use their services paying full price? In order to maintain the carpet warranty we have our carpets cleaned two/three times a year. I did use this company before AND even though the last time the end result was a little better except they did not clean the carpet in one of he bathrooms I did decide to call them once again. My mistake. God bless.

The young man was very professional and he was very punctual ,he did the job in a very timely manner.

The technician arrived on time. He vacuumed the carpet first and then cleaned the carpet. Everything went very smoothly and the technician was very polite and professional.

The technician was 45 minutes late. I did get a call from the office at 30 minutes late saying there was miscommunication and they apologized that they were late without a call. The job seemed to be done OK. The carpet looks better and the high traffic areas are looking less worn. With the stain fighter applied, the technician said I should vacuum everywhere before it dried so now I had a new chore to complete. While vacuuming I discovered in our office room that there had been a great deal of spray all across the side of my desk up onto the pictures and about 9 feet up the side of the wall. Lots of water/cleaning solution spots over an area of probably 12 square feet total. I don't see how that could have happened without the technician realizing it and yet he said nothing to me. It seems to be cleaning up easy enough, but it was very disappointing to have another job now that the carpets have been cleaned. It is now nearly 36 hours later and there are still spots on the carpet that are damp. With that much moisture in the carpet and pad I am now nervous about mold and mildew developing in the carpet. Perhaps it was just the technician I had, but this was not a good experience.

I bought the deal here. they emailed me right back, and we set up a time. they called the friday before and sent an email reminder. he got here at 0815, right on time. he vacuumed everything then cleaned the carpet. he sprayed some deodorizer on the carpet afterward because we have 3 dogs... He was punctual and professional. he explained what he was doing and told me about extra services available but not a hard sell. i will definitely use Chem-Dry again. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I've used them.
