errible, Buyers beware. I was scammed. This man came provided no credentials. Mr. Bolton charged me $661.85 to replace the hood plus a ~ $50 service call. He said he could not get a part to repair the old VentaHood lamp ballast. The hood arrived in a box from Lowe's. I looked up the product and found out it he cost $78. The install was horrible. My beautiful kitchen was defaced by this company. The new hood does not vent out. The installer left a gaping hole in the upper cabinet where he cut out the old vent. The vent does not fit it is way to small for space and for my gas range, He left with a gaping eyesore between the difference of the tile backsplash and the new hood. I called Mr. Bolton and after several phone calls he called me back. He told me he will refund me all but $100, that he is an honest man, and I can keep the hood if that tells you anything about the value of the hood. I had to buy another hood from a reputable company which I paid a little over $700 for what I needed. So I am now out almost $1400. Robert Bolton's Appliance Company is not a member of the BBB and he only takes checks!! He is not answering my phone calls now.

Robert lacks professionalism, quality and has terrible customer service. We will not use him again and will not recommend him to anyone else.
Description of Work: This guy is a rip off artist Robert said he could repair our 20 year old GE ovens in 7-10 business days. It's been over 6 weeks and we're getting the run around. He return and installed one of the oven (brain) computer cards that had been sent out to be fixed and it had the same problem, of intermittently popping off (losing it's programming). It was not fixed. The other card was returned and installed but is defective. Will not heat to temperature. A complete waste. . The top oven is still periodically popping off and I informed him that we were not satisfied with the repair and would withhold the balance due of $170.00 until 30 days had passed and we could evaluate if the top oven was really repaired. He did not like this and left in a huff saying, "don't bother paying me the rest." I was hoping to hear, "I'm so sorry for the incovience I've caused, broken promises, poor quality of top oven repair, difficulty in reaching me, confusing messages about where the cards were actually being sent (?Oklahoma? Florida?), repeated promises to expedite things. The end result is neither over is working properly.

Timeline of events: 4/29/08 I Called Bolton's Appliance and Robert (owner) indicated that the wine fridge was fixed and was running for 48 hours just fine. He agreed to drop off the fridge and I left a check for $126 under the welcome mat on the front porch. 4/30/08 Bolton s Appliance picked up the check and left the fridge on the back porch. 4/30/08 At 600pm I Plugged in fridge and checked back 1 hour and 15 minutes later. 4/30/08 At 715 pm I checked on fridge and it was not cooling and I smelled plastic burning. 4/30/08 I unplugged the fridge and turned it so I could see the back of the fridge. The fridge and the wall it backed up to were VERY hot. When I looked further I saw a plastic piece melted to the top of the compressor. 4/30/08 Stopped payment on check. 5/1/08 Called Robert (Owner of Co.) and he said he would be "by this afternoon to pick up the fridge." 5/1/08 Arrived home at 530pm and the fridge was still here. 5/2/08 Left Fridge out again. When I returned home at 530pm it was still there. 5/3/08 After 1 day, I brought fridge into garage. 5/7/08 At 253pm I received a voicemail from Robert asking for a call back. 5/7/08 1214 pm received a call from financial institution requesting a call back. 5/7/08 5pm received voicemail from financial institution. I called them back and indicated I stopped payment on the check. 5/8/08 I called Robert and indicated that I stopped payment on the check because the fridge was not fixed. I told him that I will pay for the fridge repair once it is completed. He stated he would be by tomorrow to pick it up. 5/9/08 At 820am I placed the fridge outside while heading to work. When I returned home at 520pm the fridge was still there. He did not pick up. 5/10/08 Placed fridge back into garage. 5/12/08 Placed fridge in the backyard and called Bolton's Appliance. Ring, no answer, voice mail was full. 5/14/08 Called in the AM Ring, no answer, voice mail was full. 5/15/08 Brought broken fridge into the garage for future disposal.
Description of Work: The first time Bolton's came out to my house to examine my wine cooler that was not working was a pleasant experience. However, it got bad once the actual repairs were started. Bottom line is the repair was not done correctly and it actually caused damage beyond repair. The time line of events sums up my experience. I would not use this person to fix anything as the repair was faulty and the follow up was terrible and often non-existent.

They did a great job on both the refrigerator and the stove. They came out within a day or two of my call. The refrigerator had not been working for five years! We have used their services many times in the past and have never been disappointed. I would defiantly recommend them to others.
Description of Work: They repaired the ice maker in my refrigerator. They also replaced four porcelain drafts, four porcelain burners, four knobs and the middle strip on my stove.

THE OWNER SCHEDULED A TIME THAT WOULD WORK WITH MY SCHEDULE. HE ALSO CHECKED BACK TO SEE IF THE WORK FIXED THE DRYER BEFORE HIS NEXT SCHEDULED VISIT.
Description of Work: THEY INSPECTED MY MAYTAG WASHER & DRYER THAT WERE NOT WORKING. THEY SUGGESTED MOVING THE DRYER AND UNCLOGGED THE EXTERIOR VENTS. THEY ORDERED A TIMER FOR THE WASHER AND SCHEDULED A RETURN DATE TO INSTALL IT.
