Description of Work: Not great - They had a Big Deal ($79) for wasp removal. I called because my wasps were ground wasps. Dusty said that would be more than $79 and he had to come out and look to give me an estimate. He looked and went on at considerable length about what a BIG job it was. He said every hole in the dirt had to be separately treated and sealed, that it would be a BIG job that took a lot of time, etc. Cost would be $300.00 He said he'd apply the $79 coupon and I'd pay another $239.00 (after taxes) on top. I said okay. I should have checked around, but being allergic to some stings, I was afraid to wait. The technician came out the next day. He sprinkled some powder/granular stuff over the entire area and sprayed the hose over it all. He was done in 10 minutes, with no "individual treatment". I expressed surprise. He said it was not a big job at all, but very simple and quick. I thought about it a few days and called the company. I told them I believed I'd been seriously overcharged and that either the technician did it wrong (seemed unlikely to me) or the estimator was way off base. They were polite but hedged, had to investigate and call me back, etc. With the second call, they still weren't quite clear on the situation. So, I suggested they clarify and get back to me as I like to write my Angie's List reviews promptly and, of course, would not be writing theirs until this was resolved. They then called me right back and said they'd reduce the cost to $150.00. I asked about how they'd do the refund. Would it be $150.00 refund from the $239.00 I'd paid them directly? Or, would be be $71.00 from them and a separate refund from Angie's List for the $79.00 Big Deal? They, of course, said they'd send me $71.00 and I could get the $79 refund from the Big Deal (no surprise there!). I ended up paying $150 for a job anyone else would have covered under their standard $79 Big Deal for bee/wasps. Lesson learned. I've no doubt that this was deliberate overcharging, just hoping to get away with it. I just really hope that the poor technician, who I'm sure knew exactly what he was doing) didn't get fired or reprimanded. He was nice, and the work he did was good. The wasps were gone. I'll never use these guys again! UPDATED RESPONSE: I appreciate their full refund. I had no objection to paying the $79 Big Deal cost, but the company insisted on a full refund and I appreciate it.

Description of Work: Sprayed for insects, treated active termite colony, up-charged for their rodent abatement plan, though. Their technicians are incredibly knowledgable and competent. Their office staff seemed pretty confused, though. It seems like every time that they came out I would have to explain what was supposed to be going on there. I would recommend them to a friend, though.

Description of Work: I have been seeing bees above my front porch and wasps on the back patio. When I called to set up the appointment they seemed more interested in selling me a monthly pest control service than this deal. When I declined extermination services they said they would send someone over to identify the bees that I had seen in the front yard. Their bee specialist, Scott, stopped by and said they were honey bees. He told me to schedule a tech to come out to spray them. He didn't know if they had nested in the wall but told me if they had it would be costly to remove. I scheduled the tech but no one showed up during the appointed 2 hour window. I called 30 mins before the window ended and was told that a tech was on the way. After the 2 hr waiting window was over, I received a call from the company to let me know that no one was going to show up because they lacked the expertise to remove a bees nest from the wall. I was surprised because Scott had not ascertained that there was a nest in the wall and only informed me that if there were one, removal would be expensive. I requested to talk to Scott and Scott told me that they lacked the expertise to remove bee hives from the wall but they would send a tech out to perform the services listed in the deal, although not the part in the deal that says they provide an estimate for removal of hive in the wall. When that tech arrived, he said he couldn't do anything because he couldn't see any bees or wasps and he had to see them to spray them. The deal lists treatment under eaves, etc but he said he couldn't do anything. He said my money would be refunded. I spokes with Z at Berrett Pest Control and she concurred that they had not provided any services and that my money should be refunded through Angie's list. During the various calls with them they tried to push a monthly extermination package vs doing this deal that I had purchased.

Description of Work: They sprayed for mosquitoes and it went fine.

Description of Work: I purchased an initial visit, and then upgraded to an annual contract. It was worth it. Killed all the bugs in and around the property. We called them back to get rid of some noise in the wall, and they came back and did that as well (I drilled the holes, they sprayed in the holes in the wall.)

Description of Work: We first contacted Berrett on a Saturday morning, and they were able to send someone out the same day to provide a quote for termite treatment for our pier & beam house. Their pricing was the most competitive compared to other companies we contacted. The service technicians arrived on time the day the work was scheduled. They treated underneath the house and the perimeter of the house, which included drilling holes along the front and back porches to inject Termidor in those areas. The holes were patched afterwards. After they had left, we realized the interior of our garage was not treated, although it was included in the areas to be treated per the initial evaluation we received. We spoke with a manager who scheduled the technicians to come back shortly thereafter to treat this area as well. | |Overall, we had a good experience with Berrett. Everyone we interacted with was helpful and responsive to our needs.

Description of Work: I signed up for an initial treatment (basic service) and quarterly treatments after that. When I called, the lady was very nice, gave me a quote and offered to send someone out to see what we might need. I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to get an inspector out to our home. My only complaint was that the inspector was completely unaware of the quote I had been given over the phone and quoted me a completely differ (and MUCH higher price). When I questioned this, he called the office and confirmed the quoted amount and resolved the problem. We set up a date for the initial treatment to be the following Monday. The man who came to treat our home was very friendly and professional. He was very good at explaining the process and even took our pets into consideration. Good Job Barrett! You guys have been fabulous to work with!
