Neil is timely, a great communicator, and was able to find a roof leak that we had been fighting with for a while, and successfully fixed it the first time for very cheap. Will definitely call him back to come look at all the hail damage we recently received. Very trustworthy roofing company.

Fantastic! I purchased a $99 Roof Maintenance package from Angie's List. Neil called me super quickly after I placed the order to schedule. He explained the roof maintenance was $99, and that any actual repairs would be additional, and that the $99 would count towards that. I placed the order on Wednesday, and got scheduled to come do the inspection on Friday. Neil was there promptly, and replaced a fair amount of shingles that needed replacing. Very Happy with the results.

We have had a leak in our roof for years. We have replaced the roof, had multiple roofers try to fix and,usually all that was done was caulk. We then replaced skylights, and the roof still leaked. Benchmark Roofing was highly recommended. Neil responded very quickly, after a heavy rain. He and his employee came out and spent about 2 hours to determine where the roof was leaking. One of the first things they did was to go in the attic. NONE of the previous roofers had ever gone in the attic. Once they determined the problem, they repaired it and we haven't had any leaks. There are not enough words to say how happy we are with Benchmark.

Neil is extremely professional and very responsive. I especially liked that he took photos and took the time to explain what he did and why and provided good information for use in the future. We will definitely use him again, if needed.

Neil was excellent. We just bought our house, and the first storm exposed some leaking in our roof. Neil was very responsive, and we appreciated his sympathy via his Angie's List message. It was a little personal touch that made us feel like a friend, not just a potential client. He was very professional and friendly. He took the time to show us pictures he made of our roof and talked to us thoroughly about any of our concerns. It was a pleasure working with him. Excellent work! He returned my call promptly to schedule visit, then called back a day earlier than scheduled to come over for repairs and recommendations. Neil was professional, courteous and a good source of information on roofing status, how insurance investigators do their roof checks, and future needs. He did repairs, showed cell photos he'd taken in different spots of my roof to support his suggestions for possible roof replacement next year - pending future hail damage. I will use him again, and highly recommend him and his associate.

We bought the deal which included an inspection and sealing of nail heads and such. The owner called on the phone to make sure the deal fit our needs and to schedule an estimate. He came out, inspected the roof and let me know that the repair fit into the his minimum repair amount and that the credit from the deal would apply. He told me about the condition of my roof and a few maintenance tasks which would be done along with the repair as part of the deal. Later that day the foreman came out, did the repair and maintenance. The repair looked good and it was nice to know the roof is on good shape and should last many years longer. Professional, good communication, good work and good information. Works for me. I'd definitely use Benchmark again.

We had a leak on our ceiling in the kitchen. I contacted Benchmark Roofing, and from point of contact Neil was extremely courteous and professional. He arrived as scheduled and did a complete inspection of our roof at no cost. We had some nails and areas of the roof that were exposed. Neil and his team worked that same day on all of the repairs. Overall, we had a great experience. On time, courteous, professional, and affordable, I will definitely call them again for future repairs and issues.

The service provided was beyond exceptional! Not only did they replace the vents with the wind turbine vents and add extra, but when they arrived I noticed that there were several shingles that were flipped up or missing and they repaired and replaced them that day even though I had just mentioned it. They went above and beyond with their service. The installer was kid and friendly and fast and efficient. And the owner was the one who came to explain everything that was done and explained what repairs might need to happen in the future. The owner, Neil, was extremely kind, friendly and thorough. I would highly recommend this company to anyone I know who is in need of a roofer.

It went GREAT! I contacted several roofers and got (3) quotes. Each of the three companies went to my house and did their own physical inspection prior to sending me a quote. There was very little difference in the bottom line, but there was significant difference in what was going to be provided by each company. I chose Benchmark Roofing and Construction, (Neil Kreck, President) From first contact, Neil asked more questions, he was open, honest and direct on how the insurance would be handled and payment schedule. I felt good after talking to him but what really impressed me and when I knew Benchmark was the right company for me, was after the physical inspection of my property and insurance claim, Neil called me with a list of items that the insurance company did not include in the claim, such as painting the new roof vents (cosmetic) and replacement of the valley flashing (critical). Benchmark's quote was detailed and included every item and service that was going to be provided for this project. (The other contractors did not mention anything about these items, nor were they listed as' to be provided' in their quotes). Neil worked directly with my insurance company, I didn't have to do anything except give them my permission to deal with Neil and Benchmark. Now it was time to pick out the shingles and schedule the job, Neil dropped off several sample shingle boards, the roof I wanted was an upgrade from what my insurance company included in the claim, I called Neil as I needed to know if the price difference was in my budget, Neil had no problem upgrading the shingles for me at no additional cost. I was having quite a time visualizing an entire roof based on a small sample, so I emailed Neil with my thoughts on color and stated my reasons for being so indecisive and he got right back to me with a color suggestion and photos and then followed up an hour later with a personal call. I went with the color he recommended and I am so glad I did. The color is perfect and it is not the same generic color as every other roof in my neighborhood. (It took me a week to decide on color). The job was scheduled for the following Thursday, on Tuesday evening I received a call from Benchmark they finished a project a day early and wanted to to know if we could move the schedule and replace my roof the next day (Wednesday). Well that was fine by me, I was given the information on the crew that would be at my house at first light, (have to start early in summer in Texas). Crew arrived at 6:45 am, made contact with me and started working on removing the old roof, by the time I left for the office at 8 am they had 90% of the shingles off. The crew was very experienced and worked well together. I ran home at noon to see what progress had been made, was I surprised, the new felt had been installed and half the house had shingles. I went back to work and at 3:30 got a call from Neil, he was on his way to my house to inspect the roof and the quality of work his crew provided, I told him I would meet him there to give him a check to cover my deductible. Neil was up on the roof inspecting the installation of the roof and vents, then he went around the house and made sure that the clean up had been done properly, it had. And it looks fantastic!!!!! So, if honesty, experience, professionalism, respect and a personable attitude is what you are looking for in a contractor call Benchmark immediately. I highly recommended them (to anyone who asks, or will listen)!

After the realization that my house was truly damaged by a hail storm, I decided to get a few estimates and start the process of repairs. As I met with the various roofers, I noticed a trend. They were all saying that I wouldn't have to pay my insurance deductible. All but one: Neil Kreck of Benchmark roofing. He informed me of the way these things work, and anyone saying that I didn't have to pay my deductible was engaging in fraud. This seemed right to me. After all, by HAVING an insurance policy, I am implicitly agreeing to pay my share of the cost through my deductible. So, I hired Benchmark and after working out the details, the process began. I was very pleased with the punctuality of all aspects of the job. When Neil said a certain phase of the job would start or finish, it was true. Also, it was very evident that the Benchmark crew paid attention to detail and took those extra, value-adding steps to my installation. For example, Neil's crew does only hand nailing. This ensures that an incorrectly adjusted compressor/regulator/nail gun will not overdrive the nails in the heat of the day, causing damage to the new shingles. In addition, flashing in EVERY valley, and solid lead boots over all roof penetrations, ensures a long lasting finished product. Even though this extra care was taken, the evolution was finished in a timely fashion. Neil's integrity and drive for excellence really comes through when you meet and speak to him. I found that very refreshing in this fast-paced, profit is king, rubber-stamp world we're living in. I am overall very pleased with the performance of Benchmark and would definitely recommend them to a friend or hire them again. And since they are branching out into other aspects of home remodeling and construction, I'll probably get the chance.

Wow! I was impressed by from the very first meeting with Neil. Friendly and very helpful in explaining and answering questions. I had a second company provide a bid. Their representative was friendly and helpful also. I chose Benchmark because they could accomplish additional tasks that I was wanting to be done (i.e. gutters and mortar repair for chimney). We were concerned that in tearing off the old shingles we would have many roofing nails in our flower beds. After the job, we did not find any roofing nails in our flowerbeds and side yards! They did not drop the old shingles onto the ground, but put them in a truck that was parked on our driveway for a short period of time. Then they used a magnet to pick up stray nails. The color matching of the gutters to the house was perfect! The installer placed the downspouts in a manner that they "seem" invisible when looking from the street. The work was high quality and professional in every respect. Bottom line: You will not be disappointed if you use Benchmark.

My roof was damaged in the April 2014 storms we had here in the DFW area. Neil was inspecting my neighbor's roof when he noticed I had some damage as well. After he got done with my neighbor's inspection, he came over, introduced himself and his company and offered to take a look. He was very honest with his findings - he didn't find any hail damage on my roof at all, where my neighbor had a lot of hail damage. My damage was all wind-related. This is the first time I've ever had an insurance claim so I was not really sure what to do or expect. Neil walked me thru and explained every step in great detail. The laborers were very nice and professional as well - they left the jobsite clean each day (this job took about 2 1/2 days to complete). When the job was finished, Neil came out and inspected everything - he even helped pick up the last few pieces of trash! I am very leary of roofing companies, especially after storms here in the metroplex...you always hear horror stories of people getting scammed! I am so glad to have found Benchmark Roofing, as I felt very comfortable with Neil from the beginning of the process. Hopefully, I won't need my roof replaced again, but in the event that I do, I would definitely use Benchmark again! I would also recommend Benchmark to anyone who needs a quality roof job!

It went very well. Neil responded to all my concerns. Times, how long it would take. Being careful not to let my pets out. Very professional! Appearance was always good and had shirt on with company name on it to identify himself. Shirt was not a t shirt and good.
