Alvarez Painting

Very well. Measured at the house, we had the design in our head and translated to a crude drawing, which they finished out for us. It was built in a shop, painted elsewhere, and then delivered and installed by carpenters. All the TV, DVD, and Fios cabling was run in the back. It's 6 feet tall, 5 feet wide, and over 2 feet deep.

No problems. Excellent looking job.

Excellent!. Mr Alvarez kept us informed at every step along the way. His crew was very professional and left the yard spotless at the end of each day. If you need painting or remodeling I highly recommend Mr Alvarez and his company. Good people.

Paul was great, the quality of the finished product was high, and he even went above and beyond to ensure everything looked good. The plastering job was top notch, and he painted additional trim in the living room to make sure everything matched for free. I also asked him to repair a small drywall hole, which he also did for free. I would highly recommend Paul and his crew - they were completely done less than a week after I originally contacted him. Great job!

He came out for the estimate. He then told me that he would email me back, but I did not hear from him until well over a week later, after I had the job completed.

Alvarez Painting showed up on time, and the owner Paul, was there the whole time. They worked so quickly, but so perfectly I could hardly believe it. You can not even tell where the large holes in our walls were. Then I asked them to do the kitchen, and Paul himself patched some holes in my kitchen cabinets, and they applied mud to smooth the walls out. They prepped the entire space that same day, and returned the next day to finish. Paul could not be there the second day, but his son Justin was, and he did a really great job. His attention to detail was amazing, he made sure every surface was covered and smooth before leaving. They cleaned up perfectly, and my cabinets look great!

Good work; he and his men were polite and hard working; they did the job in 3 days while other companies estimated the job at 4 to 5 days; they also had the lowest price of the 3 estimates we received; they did a good job of cleaning the work area after they left each day so as to minimize the disruption to our house; also I did not notice any damage to our house or furniture as a result of the work

The second quote came back to me. He said he was having trouble getting his contractors to accept the job because it was so small. AT LEAST THIS ONE WAS HONEST! Said he would try and find someone and DID - at LESS than half this companies quote. Bottom line is - if you don't want the job because it is too small, just TELL the customer so you can both move on. Don't leave him WAITING for a quote and then hitting him with one so high to put him off/or rip him off. ($900.00)

Everything went very well. Paul and his crew all seem to be very consciences about their work. We had a lot of different things going on in the house at the same time but they were on top of it. They even cleaned up the site every day before they left.

Paul did an amazing job. There is no evidence of the prior murals or the mustard yellow living area paint. The whole house looks 100% better and much better positioned to sell. He also stained one section of the fence that looked weathered. He was always very personable and easy to work with.

Never did any work couldn't get it scheduled.

Mr. Alvarez came to the house, provided a quote over the phone and confirmed it by email. He then came out and talked to us specifically about the project. His manner was quite professional. After accepting the quote, the job was done within the next week in a couple of days. Work looks good and met our expectations. We'll consider using him for other projects in our house.

Pretty well. I contacted Mr. Alvarez due to the rating by Angie's List, and he came by and did the measurements for the shelves in the room and additional shelves in the garage (the later which I have delayed implementing until it gets warmer). He sent me an estimate within short order, and we accepted. He then returned with his carpenter, Alex, who showed us what he felt would look nice. We altered it a bit, which required some additional materials, and added to the cost a bit to what I noted above. The job was split into two parts - that which was to be paid to Alex for the carpentry, and that which was to be paid to Mr. Alvarez. Alex was paid 1/2 up front for the materials, with the remainder after installation. Mr. Alvarez primed the shelves prior to installation, and finished painting afterward, and was paid his full price at that time. Mr. Alvarez accepted full responsibility for the entire project.

They did an excellent job. The work was just as we expected. Paul and his team were great to work with and I would highly recommend them!

This company did a great job for me. They were very thorough and very, very clean. They found some cracks in my walls and caulked them. They did all the walls and the ceilings and worked around shelves and mantles. It was great. The worker helped us get some paint samples and worked with us to determine what colors we wanted. He was very passionate about what his work and very demanding with his crew. It was wonderful work.

Paul and one crew member painted our living room and entry way. We have 18 ft. high ceilings and they brought in scaffolding to do the work and managed to complete the job in one day. The edges are very clean and the color is uniform. They left the place very clean; like they weren't even there.

We have used this company several times and have always been satisfied and pleased with their work. They work professionally and generally are easy to get a hold of. They worked us in according to our tight frame of schedule. They cleaned up every day. They got the work done quickly.

Paul came to our house the first time to give us an estimate for painting the entire downstairs. This also included the ceiling and the upstairs hallway. He came over the second time to help us select our paint colors. Work started on a Wednesday and was completed by Friday afternoon. Paul and his workers were very affable and professional. My husband and I decided to buy all new light fixtures and we had a ceiling fan that we wanted installed in our family room vaulted ceiling. Paul did all of that for us too at a nominal fee. We absolutely recommend using Alvarez Painting and when we are ready to paint the upstairs rooms we will definitely be contacting him again.

The job was completed perfectly. Paul and his guys were prompt, on time, polite, clean and very detail oriented. They went the extra mile on the job, and provided updates along the way. If they had questions about any part of the job they asked. They were very clean throughout the whole job and were very respectful of our home. Overall they did a fantastic job and we would highly recommend them. We plan on using them for future jobs!

The crew was incredible - they were punctual, professional, worked hard, and did an incredible job! Mr. Alvarez is honest and stands by his work; he is a rare gem these days. I have more projects in mind and will not hesitate to contact him! If he could earn an A++++ I would give it to him - my standards are high - he not only met them, he exceeded them.

Paul was very professional throughout the process. He was prompt in getting back to me with a quote, and then started when he said he would. He, and his crew, were always prompt and started early. They did a great job in cleaning up their mess when they left for the day. He was also helpful in picking out colors and giving suggestions, which was very appreciated. He made this process much easier than what it has been in the past. I have no complaints about their work. I am currently getting a quote from him to do some additional painting.

Paul came by and provided an estimate that day I called for one. It took me a week or so to make a final decision. Paul and his crew started work the following Monday and finished a day ahead of schedule. Here are some things that made this customer happy: - All the doors and drawers were removed, sanded, primed and stained in the garage. Old hardware was removed and new hardware that I purchased separately was installed when the doors were rehung. Some contractors will spray over the existing hinges and not remove the doors. I recommend paying extra and having the job done right. - The job included texturing 2 kitchen walls and the soffits but not painting them. Paul offered to paint the walls and soffits if I provided the paint at no addition. I jumped on the offer and it saved me the better part of a weekend having to paint. - The entire crew spoke decent English and Paul was there to supervise the work most of the time. Here s what could be improved: - The contract for the job was essentially a very general email and a verbal agreement. There was no mention of how many coats or the type of paint. Here s why I feel that is important. I assumed I was getting an oil-based primer and two coats of paint on the cabinets. What I received was a latex primer and one coat of paint on the cabinets. The final product looks great, but I m concerned about the durability/wear of the paint job over time. Spelling out these details in a more formal contract would eliminate any gaps between customer expectations and the final product. There was some over spray on my new stainless steel appliances. Thankfully, it cleaned up.

My experience with them was good. It was over a year ago. I had a couple of days time to get it done and they did it. Their price was reasonable. They were on time. They didn't get any paint on the floor.

Contractor never showed up and has never returned repeated phone calls.

He was very professional. He showed up when he said he was going to do. He also did what he said he was going to do. He was the easiest painter I've ever dealt with
