+ 1 moreIt is convenient. They are a good provider of appliances, lumbar, food and everything. They don’t have very many employees. I wish they had more employees but once you get hold of one, they are usually very helpful. That’s the only game in town.
Description of Work: I use Home Depot on Galveston Island. My contractor goes there for all the supplies for this house and all our properties.

Description of Work: I buy many things from HOme Depot, but I have never had "service" from Home Depot. I buy appliances, TVs, etc from Sears - I have maint.contract with sears.

Description of Work: We bought a dishwasher with full disclosure that our house is over 30 years old, as is the plumbing. They said it would be ok and more than likely not a problem. The whole day has been spent waiting and answering automatic phone reminders as well as actual phone calls. First it was delivered and then the installers came. They took a very quick look at my connections and said they cannot connect. I don't see how they expect me to find a solution when the price is the same as a company that includes the installation in the price. I've had a bad experience with buying our washer and dryer with them, never installed correctly, but I was in a hurry this time. Will not waste a day again. It is optional to go with a big chain and they were rude to boot.

+ 0 moreThe customer relations department men asked me to call a service company, which I did. The service company declared the machine not repairable and they would tell the company. The company claims they never received the call and could not replace the machine.
Description of Work: On Oct 1, I purchased a GE washing machine model WSSH30061WW. On Oct 2, it was delivered. On Oct 3, with the first load of laundry it began to leak. I contacted Home Depot and they said it was not their problem, in spite of a posted policy of automatic returns with 90 days with the receipt. They said I needed to take the problem to GE customer relations.

+ -1 moreWe went to Home Depot to pick out a French door and customer service was very helpful in our decision and followed up with an estimate to install a French door. Their prices were quite reasonable and they explained the warranties and the shatter proof glass. The installation was scheduled as soon as the door was available and the installers were right on time. They did an excellent job, cleaned up very well and left the house in great shape.
Description of Work: We had a French door installed at our home in Friendswood. The installers took out the old door and installed the new French door. They cleaned up the mess and hauled off the old door.

carpet installation
+ -1 moreThe carpeting in our home was recently purchased from Home Depot. We bought new carpeting for six rooms and a hallway. Home Depot sent someone out to install it. The installation was professionally done and we have seen no problems with the carpet. The carpet is a perfect fit in every room and we would recommend Home Depot for carpet installation.
Description of Work: We purchased carpeting from Home Depot and they sent someone out to do the installation. We had carpeting laid in our hallway and six rooms in our home.

+ -1 moreHome Depot finally took my call and came around to check out my garage door opener. The unit was under warranty, and customer service kept putting me off. After calling them several times, they sent a technician out, and he was on time. He tried to repair the unit with no success, so he replaced it with a new door opener. It took some time getting this job accomplished, but the technician did a good job and left the garage clean as it was.
Description of Work: Home Depot came to my house in Friendswood twice to repair my garage door opener. With no luck, they came out the third time and replaced the opener with a new one.
