Where it went well.... In 2012, we asked Gulf Coast AC to take a look at our ten year old AC system. They were prompt, provided great service and told us the outdoor condenser may last us another summer. Not wanting to go without AC in the Texas summer, we decided to install a new condensor in the Spring of 2013 before summer hit. When we called them back, they responded quickly and installed the new unit succesfully. In addition to AC work, we had a damaged meter jaw on our house that their electrician repaired in 2012. In Spring 2013, we asked the electrician to come back and install an outdoor electrical socket. He did a great job, and we were happy with the work. We discovered that the electrician is the owner at this time as well. Where it went horribly wrong.... In September 2013, we decided to undertake major renovations to our home. We contacted Gulf Coast AC to provide an estimate to upgrade our elecrical panel. The owner came out, and told my husband it would be an "easy job" and the quote would be emailed to me. That was September 4th. One week later, no email so we called. The lady who answered the phone said she thought we had already received the quote. She promised to check with "Brian", who I presume is the electrician and owner. I'll save you time and anguish like we experienced and cut the chase. It took at least a dozen phone calls and six weeks to receive a quote from these folks. Ridiculous! My husband and I prefer to keep our business local, so we accepted that perhaps there were a few reasonable explanations. We called them back a week after they mailed the quote to schedule the upgrade. I left a message with the same lady we worked with in the past. She said the electrician was out of the office, but that she would give me a call later that day to schedule. Nothing. I called the next day, and she said Brian would "most-likely" be out the rest of the week for a funeral but she would call me back that day to confirm. Nothing. The next day, I had my husband call and she told him the earliest they could come would be the following week. At this point we were beyond frustrated and told them we wouldn't need their services. It's a shame that things went from awesome to awful so quickly. We really, really liked this company and always highly recommeneded them. I am sorry to say that we won't use or recommend them moving forward.

Response from Gulf Coast Air & Heat
We had stopped our electrical department at the time and sold it . They were working with us on the transition but we both kinda dropped the ball on the response. We have not done electric work since that year and have switched managers in the office. The work she had done was great but the bid she wanted was not given .
