Legacy Exteriors

Their siding was a big upgrade from what we had before. They siding we got is very thermal like and foam backing.

Things went very smoothly. We have a 50 year-old brick two-story house with a steep pitched roof and lots of angles. Hail broke the vinyl siding in several places and the siding was old enough that we needed to replace it all. Matt came to the house and asked us about our needs. After we described what we thought we wanted he showed us the products he had to meet our needs as well as some of the options available to us. He didn't try to sell us anything beyond what we needed. He explained how long it would take to do the work and how the business deal would operate. Once we were were signed up we paid about 30%. When we signed, Matt quoted a price that included "no surprises" to us. That is, he took responsibility for completing the job and replacing any rotted wood underneath the current siding. He also cautioned us that it might be a few weeks before he could start. Matt got back to us a couple of days later with the news that Legacy could start almost immediately. During the project Matt stayed in contact with us. Anything we didn't like, he fixed. And he explained things his crew found and offered us options for how to handle them. The total project time was about three days longer than the two weeks he predicted but we saw that as a very minor thing. The major thing is that our house looks great and we think the guys from Legacy did even a little more than we expected. They clearly take pride in their work and they take their warranty seriously. They cleaned up the yard every day when they left and worked hard at the end of the project to find all the small bits that landed in the yard. And they took away all the material they'd removed from the house.

The work went very well. They had to work between the rain storms of June, but did well under the circumstances. Installation was aircraft quality work. Some places were challenging, but they solved it and did a very good job. The typical little "surprises" came along such as revealed previous construction errors, and they ameliorated those problems at no extra charge. The work crew was personable and easy to work with. The painter was incredibly skilled and efficient. Top quality paint and detailing; have never seen that level of craftsmanship in a painter.

Owner and various work crews were all very professional and courteous. They were very thorough will all aspects of the work. Work was done in a timely manner. The overall price was very competitive and the financing option was awesome.

Legacy Exteriors was a wonderful company to work with. Starting with the owner Matt Halley. He was courteous and so helpful with the choices we were making regarding the products we are going to use. He made us feel very comfortable about our decisions which let us become excited about the process to come. Matt has wonderful people working for him. Starting with Stephanie Muska, in the office to Chris Boortz, our project manager. They were always available whenever we had questions or needed anything. I have say how wonderful the crew, Jr and sons, were to work with. They were very courteous, kind and quick. The quality of work that they performed was top notch! Also the painter, Carlos, was fantastic. All in all, we believe that Matt Halley has a wonderful company and an excellent crew that not only he can rely on but you could too!

Legacy Exteriors did a great job, they matched the siding and paint perfectly. They updated the vents and window casings, and the finished area is seamless and beautiful. The team was responsive, reached out to me to schedule quickly and arrived and finished the project on-time. They will definitely be finishing my siding.

Michael was the sales rep for Legacy. He went above and beyond to provide what I wanted at a price I could afford and even assisted with obtaining financing. I did not feel any pressure from him to sign. He also checked with me during the installation process to make sure I was happy. Dale, Chris and Ted installed the windows. These guys were great - arrived on time, went straight to work, and got the job completed. They worked with me on ensuring my pets were not escaping. They cleaned up. They were very patient with all my questions. And they had fun! Mike was the installer for the siding. The quality of the work is tremendous. The job took longer than expected by both me and Legacy (2 months) but this was a large job - duplex plus detached garage. Also, the rains and flooding from earlier in the year, I believe, spread the contractors a little thin trying to catch up on their commitments. Mike also went above and beyond ensuring that openings to the underside of the duplex were there for the feral cats that live in my area, t he lights on my front and back porches were replaced and working and all of the wiring (and isn't there always allot!) was hidden or painted to match the siding. Purchasing and having windows and siding installed was a new experience for me. Chris, the foreman, was extremely patient with me and all of my questions. He stayed in touch with me and with the installers to ensure that everything was per our contract. I will absolutely use Legacy Exteriors in the future should I have a project that they can provide. This experience was scary to me but it ended up being wonderful and my property looks fantastic!

Although this company did very good work, they shared my home phone number with a research company without obtaining my permission. This violates their privacy policy. Because of this, I will not be using this company for any future work.

Matt Halley came out and consulted with me about how best to tackle the project. He brought samples of the windows and siding, and walked me through how the process would unfold. The project was completed in two phases. First, the window crew came out and replaced the old windows. They completed the work in one day, cleaned up after themselves very well, and hauled away the old windows. The second phase began with the removal of the old siding and fascia. The team was able to put new plywood and insulation up on the first day, and began putting up the new siding as well. On the second day, they finished putting up the new siding and fascia boards. On the third day, the painter came out and painted the new siding. On the fourth day, the gutters were installed. The crews that worked on the house were fantastic. They were very professional, polite, and they cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't be happier with the results. The foreman (Chris) came by daily to check on the progress, and kept me up to date on how things were going. Matt came out after the work had been completed in order to ensure that I was satisfied with the final product. I can't recommend these guys highly enough! I will definitely use them again when I need additional work done on my house!

Workers arrived on time, came in and explained all that they had to do, they double checked the dimensions of the scope of what they were going to perform. Unloaded materials necessary for removal. Removed the entire entry way and cleaned up the demolition mess. Prepped for framing, framed the new door way entry so that it centered the door way, because we had eliminated a door with a side lite, they then framed for a cement stoop and poured the cement. This is for a new door to set on. While cement cured they cleaned up some more, and we feed them sandwiches for lunch, because they were going to work straight thru without taking a lunch. Then they started to install the door and the finish wood for outside. Then the aluminum flashing and caulking. Oh I forgot they installed the door locks and made sure for smooth operation. Then they reinstalled my storm door which they took off, it was a newer door. They completely finished the outside, and as per agreement I was to finish the inside. For the scope of the worked performed and the quality of the product, I believe that this was a fair price to pay. We are very happy with the new door and would definitely recommend, and use Legacy exteriors llc. again when our needs arise for more home improvement.

Presentation by Legacy was excellent. They came out and went over everything with me. Gave me an approximate estimate which help determine if I could even afford to go any further. That also allowed me to time to invite another company to come out and give me their opinion of the cost. Once I had the two companies out I could compare apples to apples and feel secure that I was not be taken advantage of by either. When you are a limited income, this is important. Both companies were competitive. It finally came down to the reviews I had read on Angie's List, the representative (Matt) from Legacy and my gut instinct. I really appreciate the way Legacy gave the time I need to make a decision with pressure. Once the decision was made, We ordered the windows and signed agreement for their installation and signed a separate agreement on the vinyl siding. Once the windows had been made and shipped, Legacy's window crew called and we set the date for the installation. This was done very quickly and with little difficulty. They were very nice and totally cleaned up everything. No shrubs were broke and the house with the new windows they sold me on looked great. I was very please. The windows were just as presented. The only hiccup was the delay in getting started on the siding. There was a delay of several weeks, some delay in their receiving the product but most due to the weather. So I really cant blame them for my frustration in having to wait. Once they got started Matt and Marks crew did a great job, much better that I expected. Colby was the on job supervisor I work with, he was very nice, answered all my question and kept me posted on their progress. Matt check on the progress of the job with me and listened to anything I had to say and because of my frustration with the delay, there was a lot for him to hear. Nevertheless, Matt was very patient and understanding. He obviously is a professional and knows that in the service business, sometimes you just listen and everything works out. Remodeling you home is expensive and no matter how good the people are it puts you in strain. But I can truthfully say that if I had to do it again, I would not hesitate to use Legacy and I not would hesitate to recommend them. Great Job all the way aground.

As an Interior Designer who has been in the business for 30 years I am pretty pickey and expect quality, professionalism and a good value...especially on my own home! I live in an 88 year old cottage which needed a "face lift". I wanted Hardie siding but especially wanted to retain the charm of my home through the trim details, window details and columns on the porch. Matt met with me on a Friday afternoon, explained what they would do, created a budget and I was so impressed with his professionalism and knowledge that I gave him a down payment that day. The crew who did the installation was large and very polite and I never saw one crew member who wasn't working diligently at his task. I could not believe how much they got done on the first day and was blown away when they finished on Day Two. The crew Project Manager showed me things throughout the installation and made sure I was comfortable with what they were doing. It was a messy ordeal but they cleaned up after themselves, didn't leave trash, didn't smoke, and were careful with my shrubs and flower beds. I have had so many compliments on my house as it was a very drastic change (for the better) and my only regret is that I didn't find Matt and Mark sooner. I would recommend Legacy Exteriors to anyone who wants a turnkey operation and expects nothing but the best. Now I'm trying to think of another project for them to do!

It was a real pleasure working with the partners and crews of Legacy Exteriors. The quality of both their materials and labor was outstanding. Initially, there was a problem with a sub-contractor that delayed the start of the project but Legacy stepped up, took full responsibility for the problem and made everything right. They showed impeccable integrity in the face of difficulty. Once the problem was corrected and work begin, the Legacy crews were prompt and worked with remarkable care and skill. In particular, the exterior painting crew took great care to correctly mask the brick, windows, light fixtures and other items not being painted that were adjacent to the painted parts of the project.

I would give them an "A" all the way down.

They showed up on time and did excellent work. They came back within a day when I asked them to do some minor adjustments on the new vinyl doors. They went above and beyond. Matt stayed in constant touch with me before, during and after the project, which I appreciated. It's been almost a year and the doors and install are holding up great.

We found them on Angie’s List. The salesperson that came out to do the bid was awesome. I thought he was very thorough and great. The actual work was good. The responsiveness was very good. The only concern was that the initial scheduling was not clear.

Finished in four weeks. Predicted 3.5 weeks. Had a couple of down days due to rain. Excellent job, good cleanup. Very satisfied with the job, especially the coordination with the roofer to install the new flashing. Discovered some issues with the 35 year old house and he worked through fixing them as the old siding was removed. Fit and trim of the vinyl siding looks excellent. We chose premium grade vinyl siding with build it foam insulation. Additionally added on 1/2" foam board after removing the old siding. Overall excellent job.

The job was set up and moved along at a good pace. Any time an issue came up, or a question, either the installer or Matt, the owner addressed them right away. When we had some storm damage this fall (unrelated to the product or the original installation) Matt made the repairs at a very reasonable cost, placing new siding over an area previously not exposed to the elements. I believe the company has very high integrity and it shows in the quality of the workmanship and the owner's dedication to customer satisfaction. They will not be the cheapest contractor, but I am overall very pleased with my decision to use them.

Matt was very helpful in providing information and answering questions that we had about what we needed to have done to the house. The crew that worked on our house did a good job. We had areas where the original siding had rotted due to rain damage and improper sealing of the windows that we had put in 10 years ago. As the crew replaced the damaged siding with wood, they found that there was some structural damage underneath one of the windows where part of the studs had also been damaged by the rain. Rather than cover over this and let us have problems down the road, they told us about it, and my husband was able to repair the area before the new siding was installed (structural issues were not a part of the contract, so that is why we fixed this ourselves). The crew leader even applied siding to a small vertical area on the roof that previously had only flashing on it. The job took 3 1/2 days to complete. The crew did an outstanding job and our house looks like new.

Salesman was very professional. He was prepared, knew his product and presented it well. All work was preformed ahead of schedule and the product was as presented at time of sale. Would highly recommend this company.

The windows were done in an hour...I was amazed at how the team worked to take out the old and install the new. They left everything cleaner than it was before they started. I didn't even have to remove the blinds or curtains. I was so very impressed! The man who installed the siding was working in extreme heat. I don't know how he kept going, but he did! Everything looked just as expected. There was one issue that I didn't notice until after I'd paid for the work. Someone came out within a few days and fixed the problem. I will definitely use them again.

It went outstanding. From their sales team through their installation team it was flawless. They were very nice and precise. They cleaned up everyday so you did not hardly know they were there. The installation manager came over when the job was finished and inspected every part of it and made sure that we were satisfied. I have scheduled another appointment with them to consider replacing my gutter system along with the entry way to our house. I highly recommend this company.
