Willeford Fence Company (Steve) build my fence on September 28, 2016. Willeford poured cement mix directly from bags into holes and poured water directly into holes. Steve said there was nothing wrong with that-he had been doing that for 35 years.(I personally observed the pouring into the holes) (The cement bag instructions states differently) I Paid another company to repair ($1125)-four months after being built. Willeford Fence would not even come out and inspect the leaning fence. The original mix was removed and found to be soft and easy to chip away. ( I kept a video) Poles were leaning, but not bent. Cement was not properly mixed and installed resulting in a weak fence. Repair person said upon first inspection that he could tell the post were not seated and loose. Willeford said it was all wind damage on my brief phone call with him-before he hung up on me. There were no other fences or any roof damage on my street other than the fence Willeford built, I paid $50.50/ foot for this 8' cedar privacy fence. I believe this was poor workmanship. There is no denying the cement was not done properly and the posts were not bent, yet the fence was leaning. The cement mix in these particular holes was similar to dried oat meal. Unless you like cement on you cereal, I don't recommend mixing cement in this manner for fences. I will end this message using Willeford Fence Company phone end of recording message. Steve and his crew showed up each day and went straight to work. They quickly took down the old fence and hauled it all away. No mess left behind. The next few days they set all the new posts and rails. They worked straight through the days very professionally. The construction was solid and the material was very good quality and exactly what I had requested, pre-stained cedar pickets and pre-stained kick boards across the bottom to protect the fencing. All debris was collected and hauled away each day. They somehow managed to work around all plants and shrubbery along much of the fence line. I'd recommend them, and did, to anyone needing to replace and aging fence or installing a new one.

Steve first put in a beautiful new fence in June of 2005. It had no problems for five or six years, until the weather started to affect things. The super-hot, super-dry summer of 2011 caused enough of a shift in the ground underneath the fence that the gate would no longer latch. We called Steve to tell him about the problem, and he came out himself and fixed the latch by the next day, no charge. Then, one of the big storms of this year blew down one section of the fence. Again, we called Steve and again, the whole thing was back up and repaired, no charge. We didn't even know he'd been there until we realized the fence looked right again.

You got to watch out some of the guys that were doing the work pretty carefully. Other than that everything went just fine. I would use him again.

Watched neighbors fence being replaced and noted the good job being done. Had them give me an estimate after completing that job. Called later and scheduled work. Crew showed up on time and began work. After letting new post set, returned and completed job. Overall job was well done.

Steve finished on-time, and slightly cheaper than his original estimate. Throughout the whole process, he was very straight forward with what he thought the best (and most cost effective) solution would be. The lower yard that his company fenced in was a challenge due to a steep slope, however Steve was able to come up with an effective & aesthetically pleasing solution. He was also very helpful in getting the city permits we needed. Overall a great experiance, we would definitly use Willeford Fencing & Building again, and would have no problem recommending him to anyone in need of these services.
