The Tile Guy

Jason came by and provided a quote, but was very busy and it would probably take a month before he could do our floor. I was hoping for sooner and he said he would check on whether he could do it sooner. A couple of days later he called and let me know he could do it the next week. He came at the time he said he would, did a GREAT JOB! on my floors. He didn't leave a mess for us and lowered his original quote some because we had moved everything off the floor and the washer and dryer out ourselves. Jason was prompt, curteous, and did a quality job on our floor. I would certainly call him again to do my floors.

The short version: Polite, thorough, and clean. Pricing is very reasonable and probably hard to beat for the professional quality of work that was provided. Now, about our project: When we had our kitchen renovated, we decided to choose and buy our own tile, and to look for a company to do the backsplash independent of the one that installed the rest of the kitchen. The Tile Guy stood out because of the stellar reviews on Angie's List and his location, which was less than 10 miles from our house. When Jason came to measure the kitchen counters and give us an estimate, he took the time to tell us what we could expect, how much tile we needed to buy, recommended a more expensive but more reliable and attractive grout material, and he explained the advantages and disadvantages of the glass tile we chose. The kitchen project itself was delayed for over a month by the other contractors, so we had to reschedule with Jason, since the backsplash would go in last. On the day of the backsplash installation, Jason and his crewmate proceeded to cover the new quartz counter, as well as the tile floor, with fabric tarps to protect the surfaces. They worked carefully and systematically, with all the tiles nicely lined up as they were installed. I had planned to put in new power outlet covers to match the colors of the new kitchen, but Jason offered to put them in himself and make the necessary cuts and adjustments so that the covers would fit snugly. He and his helper finished the entire project in less than a day, and cleaned up after themselves inside and outside of the house. Three months later, the new counter settled in some places and had a hairline gap between the counter and the backsplash. Concerned that moisture could seep in and cause damage, we called Jason again and he scheduled the work for a few days later. He caulked the gap in the same color as the grout and there is no discernible difference. He spent about 30 minutes to complete the work, but he did not charge us anything for the visit. Six months later, the backsplash is holding up and remains beautiful as the day it was installed. It's also very easy to maintain and we have not had to worry about staining the grout. As our house is getting older, we foresee some bathroom remodeling projects in our future. When it's time to do the tile, we will surely get in touch with The Tile Guy again!

I called and spoke with him. He came over the next day, and inspected the job site, particulars, etc. Two days later I had the estimate. I was very impressed with the price. But, more importantly, I was very impressed and thrilled by the quality of the work. It looks amazing! Jason was very easy to work with. I highly recommend him. And I will be using his services in my future projects requiring tile work.

I hired Jason to do retile the hallway and tear down my shower and redo it I can not name all the steps that were done to arrive at the final masterpiece but I could tell from the beginning he knew what he was doing. The final result - everything is perfectly aligned, even the smallest most difficult cuts were done to perfection.. I'm very pleased ... I will definitely hire them again

When I called Jason for an estimate he called me right back. He was able to come out a day or two later and I think received my estimate via email later that day or the next. I previously had a botched up tile job that was done by someone else so Jason had to remove the tile, install a new backer board and install new tile. I have to tell you I was completely happy with the job he did and would use his services again as well as recommend him.

Jason and his assistant were great to work with. The shower and floor look beautiful. Highly recommend!

I called and left Jason a VM to call me regarding remodeling my guest bathroom shower. He called me back the same day and schedule to come by the following day to give me a quote. He called me the next day when he said he would and showed up on time. His quote was reasonable and he said he could start within the week. I accepted his proposal. He started work 3 days later (like he said he would) and was actually here 10 mins early. The job took him and his worker 2 days to complete and they did a great job. I am used to contractors not showing up when they say they will and also not cleaning up after the job is complete. I did not have that experience with Jason. He cleaned up each day and when the job was completed they left the bathroom, garage and my house very clean. The tile work was excellent and my husband and I were very pleased. I would recommend Jason and I hope we can use him again in the future.

I'm not sure I have ever had a better experience with a contractor.Jason always arrived on time (with a phone call to confirm that he was on his way!) and did exactly what he said he was going to do. No disappointments - no surprises. He was professional, friendly, his price was really competitive, and he left the job site clean. I have already recommended him to a couple of friends of mine.

Although not the least expensive, the quality of workmanship was excellent! Very polite and courteous during each visit. Would definately recommend!

Every encounter from the initial quote, email communications and the actual work was always punctual. The overall quality of the completed work was GREAT. They are very respectful of your home while they work. When done, despite being a fairly messy project due to the tear out of old tile, they cleaned up their work areas and the new tile beyond my expectations ! I am very impressed with the new tile and the whole experience working with Jason. I will certainly recommend him to friends and family and use him for future projects.

I called Jason after reading the reviews on Angie's List and decided to get a quote. Jason came in at a good cost for what I thought matched the job we needed. He was prompt and on time with the quote and very accessible. We were able to text (very good for me since I am busy with work related meetings etc). We picked out the tile we wanted and he was helpful when we ask for suggestions. The bath room took about a week since he had to completely tear it out to the studs and build the floor for the walk in part. Jason was very timely everyday for the work and he and his team put in some long days on some days to get the job done. They cleaned up every day and took care of the mess. The finished product is nothing short of art!!!!!! Fantastic job!!!!! We now have a very nice much more functional and beautiful shower in our master bathroom. He did exactly what we wanted and needed. Very professional. So immediately we ask if he could update our old dated back splash. We made a date for just before Thanksgiving on Tuesday and Jason was finished Wednesday morning before 10:00am. Again Jason was helpful with suggestions before we picked tile. We used a stone tile and couldn't be more pleased with the work and craftsmanship. I would recommend The Tile Guy for any tile job. Good craftsmen like Jason are hard to find. We will be calling him back when we are ready for the other two bathrooms no doubt about it. Excellent work and professional all the way! The Tile Guy is off the scale good!!!!!! It was superb. He was very excellent and punctual. Everything turned out as it should have. I was very impressed. I would recommend him to anyone and I am very happy. I love the name of his company too!

Went well...did a great job...did not hire thru Angies list but wanted to add a review....had purchased the title my self and realized i could not do the job...hired Jason and he made what i had purchased work and look wonderful...

Jason is very punctual in showing up for his appointments. His price is competitive and he doesn't try to oversell his services. With tile work, cutting the tile is the art of the business. Jason did a great job in basically taking two separate tiles (bullnose and regular from different tile families) and molding them together beautifully in front of our garden tub. This was masterful work and very much exceeded our expectations. We did ask for one correction in front of our shower base that we thought could be better laid out. He corrected this the next day and this now looks real good as well. Jason does the quoting as well as the tile work. He does the work with a tile assistant that has worked with him for quite sometime. (not exactly sure how long but it does appear that they work well together) They clean up very well. After they finished work, they cleaned up the area very nicely and set it up for the next day. They finished their job in 4 days eventhough he indicated that it may take five. (He under-promised and over-delivered which is unusual now a days) I would highly recommend him for any tile job that a homeowner may be considering.

We could not possibly be happier with Jason's work! Tremendous attention to the little details that make the difference between good and great. The entire job is perfect. Jason was very easy to work with and offered a number of helpful suggestions. He also coordinated with a plumber, shower glass installers and granite installers that he recommended that were all excellent as well. If you want a job to exceed your expectations on schedule at exactly what it is quoted , this is the guy. As far as we are concerned, there is no reason to contact anyone else.

Jason was absolutely great. I scheduled a time to get an estimate, he was prompt and friendly. I received his estimate in writing via email the same day (late in the evening). His estimate seemed very reasonable, actually a bit under my budget. We scheduled the work to be done the following week. Jason and his team showed up on time at 8:30am, laid down tarps to protect my floors and got started. By 6pm they had relaid 45 tiles in our kitchen, tiled the small master bathroom, repaired some grout lines in another bathroom and repaired a tile on our front porch. The tile in the master bath is BEAUTIFUL. They laid it in a diagonal/diamond pattern. There was an awful lot of cutting involved which took a lot more time. It looks amazing. They matched grout in all areas perfectly. I really couldn't ask for more. Thanks so much Jason!!

I can't begin to tell you how pleased my wife and I are with Jason's work! The tile looks PERFECT! He went above and beyond by ensuring the tile cuts were clean and all of the grout lines matched up perfectly (He even went to the store to purchase caulk that matched our selected grout.) His work was performed on time and he left the work area clean and tidy. He listened to what we wanted and actually did what we asked. I work for a commercial general contractor and his quality of work is outstanding-you just don't find that type of quality work anymore. I received (3) quotes and chose to use Jason over the rest and I would do it all over again! If you get the opportunity to use Jason, you won't be sorry-he's great!!!

they installed the new shower tiles, with the existing shower pan and existing glass shower doors, the finished new shower tiles and glass doors are clean and beautiful.

I sent out email requests through Angie's List to 3 tile companies and Jason was the only one to respond. He came out the next day and looked at the areas to be done. He emailed a quote the same night and was able to squeeze me in the next week. Jason and his crew showed up on time and took great care to minimize the mess. They used drop cloths to keep from tracking through the house. They were very polite and respectful. I also hah a plumber working in the kitchen for part of the time and Jason was very flexible in working around him. The work looked fantastic when it was completed in 2 days as promised. Overall a very positive experience!

This is the 2nd time we've used Jason for complete bath remodels, and we were equally impressed this time. The quote process was smooth, the pricing compeitive, he arrives on time, ensures the home is cleaned up every night, and he gets the project on schedule with excellent quality.He is very patient as well, when we introduced delays due to not having tile selections ready, he rolled with it and never complained,.Just an excellent experience and great teamwork.

Jason's guys were on time, completed the job in the same day, and did excellent work. I would hire them again in a second!
