Tapias Landscape

So this is a bit complicated. Originally we were very happy with Mario Tapia. He responded very promptly to our request after we discovered our tree had been uprooted in a strong storm. We picked it back up and just wanted him to properly plant it and he agreed to the very next day. He was able to come first thing in the morning and arrived when he stated he would arrive, which we greatly appreciated. He did a pretty decent job, and even found and fixed some leaks in the irrigation system and only charged a little more for that. Everything seemed okay, but we noticed that the tree was a little slanted. After continued rainfall and severe weather we decided we wanted the tree to be better anchored since the wooden stakes were floating up out of the ground. This is when the experience turned sour. I asked him if he would be able to come back and reanchor it with a more durable/stable solution and if possible straighten it out a little more (explaining clearly that it had not been uprooted or changed in position at all since he last worked on it) and he responded that he would be able to do so, but would charge $285 to do it. This seemed extremely excessive for the job and he then became rude. We decided to look elsewhere and got a few quotes, all of whom were around $85.00 to $100.00. We ended up choosing someone who was highly rated on Angie's List and got the job done for around $100.00 (since they repaired another leak that was found in the irrigation system). I found his behavior to be extremely unprofessional the second time and the quoted price to be ridiculously high. We definitely will not be going with Tapia's in the future, despite originally being satisfied with his work.

Work was prompt and repaired as promised. I will use them again.

There isn't much to add except I made several calls that we totally ignored.

My experience with them has been really good. He always fits me on my best day. If I call him out now, he would probably turn to my house right now. He does good work. He does all kinds things like landscaping and irrigation stuff. His prices are very good.

Tapia's Landscape/Irrigation was the first company I called. Six companies/estimates later, I called Tapia's back. Mario Tapia returned each call promptly. I received a prompt on-site estimate and walk through on the best design to cover all areas of my property. Tapia's gave me the most reasonable estimate, didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, and definitely know their business. They did a great job with the install and clean up afterwards. I was given a thorough walk through of the finished system and how to run the controller. Mario is very professional, courteous, and friendly. He takes the time to answer any and all questions you have. I was very very pleased from start to finish. I would not hesitate to hire Tapia's again for an irrigation system on a future home.
