I contacted Dave at Red Wire Electric after reading their glowing Home Advisor reviews and I emphatically affirm their professionalism and quality of service! My wife and I recently moved into an older home with aluminum wiring and an old Federal Pacific Panel located on an interior wall. Dave came out and clearly explained what all needed to happen for the house to be safe and dependable for years to come. Dave and Max came out early and didn't leave until the job was complete and exceeded our expectations. They installed a new exterior panel, upgraded service to 200-amp, relocated the junction box to the attic to accommodate future expansion, ran new copper wiring from the junction box to the new panel with dual conduit feeds for minimal interference, installed a fully integrated smoke detector system, and most importantly gave my wife and I peace of mind. They did all of that work and still came in at the quoted price which was far in a way more reasonable than all other quotes we received. Dave at Red Wire is a consummate professional that prides himself on above quality work and is a model of integrity. In today's society these upstanding professionals are hard to come by. David Ford, the owner, showed up on time and did a great job of diagnosing the problems. He made some recommendations that I thought were excellent. We need to replace the ceiling fans, install a dimmer switch and a timer, so we scheduled for him to come back in two weeks. David if very knowledgeable and explains things in terms that I could understand. He will be my "go to" electrician from now on.

His name is David Ford. He did a great job. He had to do a lot of work. He had to run conduits and then he painted them.

Words cannot fully express the greatness that is David Ford and Red Wire Electric. We bought a house with aluminum wiring throughout, and we wanted to update the house and run all new copper wiring--no small job by any standard. David's quote was not the cheapest one we received, but you truly get what you pay for sometimes. David showed up a couple weeks ahead of the start date, and walked through the house. Immediately, you could see the wheels turning. He began planning, marking walls, and even coordinated a drywall repair contractor to come through once he was done with his part of the project. He gave the project a two week timeline, which turned out to be WAY too fast. Nevertheless, David stayed in the house some nights until 2:00 AM, and often worked more than 12 hours a day trying to meet the original deadline. This was great, because we weren't living in the house at the time. He added all sorts of awesome touches to the wiring, and really took charge of the project. Instead of merely mirroring the old wiring, he found the switches that didn't do anything, and either removed them or re-routed their wires. He installed lights for free, and even re-wired some existing lights that weren't working. David is extremely nice, very trustworthy, extremely knowledgable, and enthusiastic. He is a third generation electrician, and his teenage son works alongside him as he trains him to keep the family trade going. I will never use another electrician, and I've already given his name out multiple times to various people. Don't be fooled by some big name electrician companies. David Ford and Red Wire Electric is the best there ever was. I guarantee you won't regret using them.

Mr. Frost was pleasant, professional and worked quickly. He communicated with us readily when the job needed to change plans. He did beautiful, excellent work and went beyond our expectations by cleaning up all the work areas perfectly when he was done. We are very impressed with this company and would use them again.

Long overdue review: I have used Red Wire for a service panel replacement and rough & finish electrical for a master bath addition. David Ford, owner, was extremely helpful with dealing with the city inspectors as permits were pulled for the project. David is extremely professional, courteous, and responsive. He provides exceptional work for a fair price. I have since recommended his services to friends and they also rave about what a pleasure it is to work with him.

I have searched far and wide for a great electrician and I have found one. I called Red Wire Electric up and had an up front price on what it would cost to replace my Federal Pacific box. I had to pay an additional amount because I had 2 boxes and they were combined into one. But this also saved me from a bigger cost of having 2 panels installed. Very accomodating and would highly recommend his work. He was very detailed (as is needed with electrical work) and the panel looks amazing. All of the wiring looks very organized. I will be using Red Wire for any future jobs, whether it be small or big. This job took over 9 hours and I feel much safer now.

They are master electricians. This company is the only electrician I will use. They fixed the work that the other company had done incorrectly (which almost burned my house down!). I felt like they really knew what they were talking about. They were very fair in their pricing. I’m happy with their services and I’d definitely recommend them to others; I’ve already recommended them to everybody at work.
