Jim (owner) sent his technician, Manny, who happened to be in the area for the day (my home is outside their normal service area), to assess damages and provide a quote. Manny arrived when promised, was professional and pleasant, provided information about services following his assessment, and set up fans and dehumidifiers. Manny returned today (Monday) to complete the job. Very pleasant interaction despite the unpleasant and unexpected incident.

I called Jim Bauer at 1:30pm on Aug 26, 2014 because an HVAC system I bought on Aug 12 was installed incorrectly and water kept raining down inside the cabinet and into the air intake space - and floor - underneath it. The HVAC company had told me the floor would dry out on its own and not to worry about it; but the particle board above the hardwood subfloor had buckled, and I was worried about mold. (This is the sole air intake space for the whole house, after all). I explained my situation to Jim, and he passed me off to one of his lead techs, Ryan Thompson, who took down my information and said one of his guys in the field would call me. I received a phone call from Manny about 30 minutes later, who let me know he'd be at my house in 20-30 minutes. Manny confirmed my suspicions that the particle board was still wet (six days after the HVAC company had fixed the leak), and said it would need to be removed. He even put on a Tyvek suit and went under my house to check the subfloor. He said you could tell it had definitely gotten wet, but the underside of the boards weren't registering on his moisture meter. His recommendation was to remove the particle board (because it's like a sponge, and I would have definitely ended up with a bad mold problem), wait several days to let the topside of the subfloor boards dry completely, then put in new particle board. He forwarded me pictures and video of the underside of the subfloor, and left without charging me anything. Because of the situation (that the HVAC company was at fault and would be the ones making the repairs), Jim Bauer knew that he was most likely not going to make any money on this, but he sent his guys out anyway - and didn't charge me for the inspection. And because of the inspection, I was able to get the HVAC company to agree to remove and replace the particle board (which they weren't going to do). Thank you, Jim!!!!

Fantastic service. They came out same day, explained the drying process in detail, and had their dehumidifiers and fans set up immediately. Two days later everything is looking great. Would not hesitate to use them again or refer friends and family to them. A+

Ryan called me back shortly after I left a message, and Manny came out that day to provide an estimate. After seeing the great reviews on Angie's List, we had Manny start the clean up/dry out process. We thought (*hoped*) the water was contained to a smaller area, but Manny confirmed that the water had actually seeped further into the bedroom and hall closet, including to the wood floors in the hallway (tear, tear). Manny and his co-worker then removed the damp baseboards and soaked portions of pad; pulled back the wet carpet; treated portions of sheetrock; set up fans/dehumidifiers in the bathroom, bedroom, and hallway; checked the moisture levels daily; and then removed the fans/dehumidifiers. They also walked through the damage, including what work they had performed, with the insurance adjuster. Manny was excellent to work with -- responsive, punctual, courteous, and patient -- he made a stressful situation a bit more bearable. Manny's co-worker (never got his name) was also great to work with. We would highly recommend using PuroClean.

Wes and Sean arrived within the 1 hour appointment window. They assessed the water damage from a leak of an A/C condenser primary drain vent, both in my dining room and in the attic, and gave me an estimate. They were very nice, professional and efficient in removing insulation and the damaged area of my ceiling. When they were finished, they secured the ceiling with plastic, and did a spotless cleanup. I couldn't have asked for anything better out of a bad situation.

They were with us every step of the way in the clean up and remediation. They worked directly with our insurance provider and direct billed the insurance provider. We never had to cut a check. They were punctual, fantastic, professional, clean, helpful, and friendly. I didn't worry about them in my house or around my family. I would recommend them to anyone with a major water leak.

There are no words to express how satisfied I am with this company. We just bought our first home and had some initial problems with water damage, mold and strange smells. I called Puro Clean,, they answered my call right away explained clearly details of service and that a specialist would be calling me soon. Less than 15 minutes later I received the call and Blake fit me in his schedule right away. They called to confirm appointment and arrived on time. Blake and Giovanni performed a professional detailed diagnostic of every possible source of mold, moisture and leaks throughout the house. They were very helpful and polite during the whole service. They gave us piece of mind and I would highly recommend this company.

We called them over the weekend to come out the following Monday to detect the leak so we did not have any more damage. All this was happening while my wife was having our little girl. We then called the insurance company when they told us that possible mold might be at play. When the insurance company arrived he asked them why they had pulled up all the carpet and why so much equipment was placed on such a small leak. They stated all the carpet was molded and they wanted to make sure all the moisture was out of the walls. Bottom line...they took advantage of the situation and later came after us for the money the insurance company would not pay. We paid in full; however, we will no longer use their services in the future. We will no longer suggest to our neighbors or friends to use there service as well. Word of mouth travels fast and we tend to tell our story and share the experience we had with their services. Update: PuroClean Restoration came to our home and talked to us about this claim. They wanted to make this particular situation right. Both gentlemen who sat down with us were very professional and cordial which showed us that their reputation is well beyond any monetary needs. We were very happy with the outcome of the situation. We will change our previous stance and will recommend their services going forward. It is great to see that companies such as Puro Clean Restoration will make things right for their clients. They really exceeded our expectations with this resolution.

Jim and his team did a fantastic job managing and resolving water damage caused by a broken water pipe during the last freeze. I was able to call Jim directly and within 10 minutes, one of his team leads, Blake, called and said he could be at the house within an hour and a half. They arrived quickly with water extraction tools and had the initial water picked up quickly. Mind you, this happened a day before we were leaving for vacation in Hawaii. Blake went out of his way to be at our house while the insurance adjuster did his inspection, as did Mark Demarest, the director of construction. Both Blake and Mark did an outstanding job managing the job and follow-up restoration work. They both were was in constant contact, very professional, compassionate about the issue and pleasant to work with. Mark made sure the smallest details were taken care of and would personally make sure things were done to perfection. I would use them again in a heart beat.

I was about to leave for work when I noticed sewage spewing out of the toilet into the bathroom and eventually making its way into our master bedroom. After I called the plumber to come out to roto the main drain, I was left with a bathroom flooded with about 2-3 inches of sewage (with some fecal matter and other unsavory things floating about), and sewage soaked carpeting and drywall in the bedroom. I found PuroClean on Angies list; made the call; and they came out the same day about 2 hours later. The guys that came out were very professional, very thorough, and explained each step very well. They made sure to clean out any areas that might be soaked with sewage. The air is probably cleaner now than before the incident. If you are unfortunate enough to be in a similar situation, I highly recommend these guys to clean it up. I wouldn't risk making a bad situation worse with improper cleaning and restoration.

We noticed our master bedroom baseboard had some mold on it. The carpet under the night stand was damp as well. Our master bath shower is on the other side of this wall. At the time I was not a member of Angie's List, so I called my insurance agent and he gave me the name of PuroClean in Frisco. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was extremely helpful and alleviated my fears. Blake came out to the house the next day to give us an estimate. He was very professional and explained exactly what he was doing. We had some other areas in the house we thought we might be having a problem and he agreed to look at them as well. Once he did his thorough evaluation he gave us a written estimate and explained the charges line by line. He said to feel free to get additional estimates and give them a call once we made our decision. Because our insurance agent recommended them and I had checked them out with BBB I didn?t need another estimate. I was so impressed with his professionalism and pleasantly surprised by the pricing that I asked him how soon they could start. They started the next day. Again, Blake explained step by step what they were going to do and what we should expect. We were relieved to learn that we had caught this early on and didn't have that much damage. With my husband's allergies we wanted to make sure this was done properly. They found the source of the leak in the shower. They removed the portion of the baseboard & carpet in the bedroom and removed the tile in the shower. They disposed of all the contaminated material. They were extremely thorough and left the areas neat & clean. Blake always called prior to coming out and was prompt & courteous. They treated the areas of mold and set up their equipment to dry everything out. Blake explained they would come back in a couple of days to check the progress; once everything was dry they would sand down the studs and seal the wood. Blake offered to give me the name of several contractors, he even suggested I use Angie?s list to find a contractor to replace our shower. Blake and PuroClean made an unpleasant experience ? finding mold -- into a more pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend them!

These guys are the best, they are honest, punctual and professional. Since the job turned out to be less than they anticipated they reduced the initial estimate more than 1/3. I will not hesitate to use them in future and will certainly recommend them to friends.

We identified we had a water leak in a hot water supply line in our crawl space on Labor Day weekend (9/2/2013). The leak was a pinhole size, but it was spraying directly up on our subfloor in our eat in kitchen area - much like having water sprinkler under our house. After having another A+ Angie's list plumber come out and made the repair to the pipe, our search was on to find a water damage / remediation company. The plumber had a referral for me (not PuroClean) so I had them come out the same day - I wasn't overly confident in the assessment and it felt a little "sales-ey" so I told him I would think about it. I then called a couple of more companies and spoke to Ryan at PuroClean. The conversion went great and my confidence level was high. The rest of the crews were busy ,so Ryan drove down himself to make the assessment - took pictures, notes and said he would discuss with the owner Jim and he'd give me a call. As planned, Jim called me the next day with information and recommendations. We spoke about the insurance claim process and he provided their normal process for managing that as well. I could quickly tell that Jim was well educated in this process and I knew after that conversation that I'd be sending my business to him. He was on point, well informed, transparent about the unknowns of the floor, but also reassuring that they'd do the very best. After a quick conversation with our insurance agent, I gave Jim the go ahead and he said the team would be out the next day to start. So the next day Sean, Wes and a couple of other guys show up on time just as communicated. I was slightly concerned that within 48 hours I had interfaced with Ryan, then Jim and then Sean/Wes ? 3 different groups of people the details would have been lost between them. But that concern was quickly removed when Sean showed up and had a sheet of notes about our issues, our insurance company and contact information and some pictures. I will say that the communication process with PuroClean was outstanding and the example above of how they communicate internally about their customers across ownership, assessment and the operation was seamless. Sean also made a point to adjust his schedule to meet with the insurance adjuster so they could meet in person and discuss the plan. After that was squared away, Sean and Wes & team go to work moving in equipment (heaters, dehumidifiers, plastic to build the heat tents, etc.) I was expecting our house to be a full on disaster, but the guys were extremely neat and tidy with everything they were doing. Since we had one year old at the time, it was greatly appreciated they minimized the impact to our house and how we lived in it. Although I hope we never have to go through this process again, if we ever have another water leak we would absolutely use PuroClean. Class act organization with great people, communication and does the work the right way!

I accidentally left the water on and it flooded the closet, my bedroom, my bathroom and the room next door. They were very professional, they were efficient. They knew what they were doing and I was very impressed.

PuroClean removed the mild from the crawlspace and levels in the clearance test were well below the outside baseline. PuroClean was professional and delivered high workmanship.

I had a wonderful experience PuroClean. I spoke with the owner, Jim Bauer, about my issue and he sent his expert team lead Sean to access the problem. Sean came out (on a Saturday) and immediately put my mind at ease and resolve my issue quickly. They will be the first call I make should I need them again. I give them an A++ and would recommend them without hesitation.

It was 4th of July weekend and we never thought someone would be available to help us when our hot water heater broke. They were very prompt! They were able to come to the house that day and showed up on time! They were very well mannered and dressed professionally. They did a very good job of explaining what was wrong and were honest in every situation whether it was regarding time, pricing, and damage. The whole process only lasted a few days, which was a blessing! They brought several dehumidifiers and fans to dry the floors. When they ripped the damaged flooring up they were very careful to not break anything and were very respectful of everything in my house. After the floors were ripped up they made sure they picked up every scrap of flooring and swept the floors multiple times to make sure all of the nails and wood pieces were off the ground. (major plus in my book!) I would definitely recommend Jim Bauer's team!

Excellent. Timely response to first call, came back each day after demolition to check on drying process. Did not demo more than necessary and contained drying to ceiling and upstairs bathroom. Minimally invasive as necessary. In and out in 3 days.

Chris came out exactly on-time. He took his time discussing what we were concerned about and provided a detailed estimate, but also discussed other home issues. Had a great perspective and seemed to be very concerned with giving us the best price. We have not yet had any work done on the house.

Jim Bauer, the owner answered my Friday night 9pm call and spent almost an hour compassionately assuring me our water mold problem could be abated in full. He even returned my 11pm call with one more question. His team sent exceeded all our expectations on a job professionally well done. I highly recommend PuroClean!!!

Puroclean began the process of drying out the floors and pulling up carpet and padding by mid morning. They had 9 dryers, 2 dehumidifiers, and one air cleaner going 24/7 for the first week. Personnel were out daily recording moisture readings in walls and on our wood floors so that we had a daily update on the spreading and/or containment of moisture. Amazingly, they arranged for the demolition of wall portions, wet wood flooring, and cabinets even on the following Sunday so that all wet areas could be exposed and dried out as quickly as possible. They were compassionate and understanding to our situation and very helpful in moving furniture, etc., as well as helping us find sources to begin the rebuilding process. I couldn't have asked for better initial assistance to our situation.

Nothing like coming home and walking across the carpet going squish, squish, squish. Tried to use a carpet cleaner and then a wet vac to suck up the water in the carpet, but no go. I'm glad we weren't able to do it ourselves because I would not have found out about the other things that were wet and without correction - would have caused even more damage. In steps Ken Reamey. He and his team from PuroClean were very informative and professional while assessing the situation and providing an estimate. When I didn't know if it made economic sense to open a claim with my insurance, yet wasn't sure where I was going to come up with the money -- PuroClean was willing to work with me. I gave them the go ahead and they were very quick at getting fans and dehumidifiers in the three rooms with damage, He used some sort of a moisture meter to determine where the walls were moist and drilled holes to allow them to dry out. He kept me informed each step of the way. Although they were in and out many time - they were observant of my dog and even stopped to pat him several times (which he loved) As it turned out, I did file a claim and Ken was there when the adjuster arrived to ensure that all questions were answered. I felt like I was in good hands with Ken and PuroClean which allowed me to continue to work without taking any time off.
