Peek's Floor Co.

Recently I moved into a new to me but pre owned home. We bought the house knowing we had some projects to do. A 4,000 square foot house built in the mid 90's needs updating. We went to Peek's to get an estimate. After the estimate was completed we decided to only do the downstairs initially and do the rest in the fall. We decided to go with Peek's. In the beginning all went well. It’s been almost 2 months and in my opinion my floors are incomplete. Before hiring Peek’s floors make darn sure you fully 100% understand the scope of work. And fully understand you have to complete the project yourself, and you get charged top dollar. Peek’s will not reinstall toilets, or pedestal sinks, they claim their insurer won’t allow them to do plumbing. Last I understood you pay an insurance company to insure you not to have them dictate what you can and can’t do. They will take up your baseboards and quarter rounds and not reinstall the quarter rounds. They’ll tell you they are an afterthought and once “you” paint the baseboards they’ll look great. You have to then hire a painter, another 600.00. Hire another person to complete the starter step and hand rail, another 950.00. When you give the 50% deposit they love you, but when you make the final payment they deposit and it’s over. The owner comes to your house pretends to care makes a lot of promises, chastises the sales person in front of you and nothing materializes. The VP, John Stacy is really very unprofessional. He and the sales person, Areez come to my house and he runs around like chicken with its head cut off. He’s one of those people that loves to hear himself talk he acts like he’s all that but not any of it. This is one of the worst run businesses I’ve seen in years. I regret hiring them every single day. They don’t care about you or your project. MY SUGGESTION IS TO STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM PEEK’S AS POSSIBLE, ESPICALLY THE FRISCO STORE. Another suggestion is to not pay the final payment until you've had a few days to set and look and review the quality of the work. I would have given zero stars but they make you put at least one before you can post. I'm so very disappointed in Peek's and more than likely you will be too.
