Peak Roofing & Construction

This is my second time using Peak. Unfortunately, my house has been hit my massive hailstorms twice. This last time I had to replace my roof, arbor, gutters, screens, garage doors, some siding, and repaint my entire house. Peak arranged for and managed all contractors, in addition to handling the insurance company. Communication about was going to cost, and when the work was going to be done was flawless. From my standpoint, Peak made the entire process painless. I can't speak highly enough of Geen and Peak, and will most certain use them again.

Went great! Particularly Geen was great to work with - very responsive and did a great job of coordinating all the moving parts of replacing our roof. Roof looks great too - would recommend using Peak Roofing and Construction. Thank you Geen and Peak Roofing and Construction!

My husband and I could not be more pleased with our experience with Wes Hatch of Peak Roofing! After meeting with another roofing company, we were quite intimidated by the process of working with our insurance carrier to obtain the appropriate benefit we deserved. A few friends recommended getting a second opinion from Jeff Riss at Peak Roofing as they had used him in the past and were impressed by his integrity, work and professionalism. At first we were disappointed to hear that the hail storms had Jeff’s schedule tied up and we would be working with a different associate. However, we can’t imagine going through this experience without all of the hard work and determination by Wes Hatch. In addition to being one of the most polite and responsive contractors we have ever had the pleasure of working with, Wes is extremely knowledgeable both in roofing and working with insurance claims. Our insurance company originally approved only a partial roof replacement following a hail storm, but Wes made a conference call with me and our insurance carrier and helped them understand why replacing the entire roof was the right thing to do. The roof replacement was the easiest part of the process. We LOVE our new roof and were impressed by the quick and quality services of all involved. Once the roof was completed we encountered another hurdle with our mortgage company. Wes came out multiple times to take additional pictures and worked with us and our mortgage company to release the payments made by our insurance company. Of most important note: we paid Peak Roofing out of our own pockets shortly after the work was completed because our mortgage company was taking so long to release the funds and we did not feel it was fair to make them wait for payment (Peak Roofing did not pressure us to do this). Therefore, the additional effort Wes put in to making sure WE were properly reimbursed was solely based on his desire to take care of us. Months after the work was completed I realized the insurance carrier missed an item on the supplemental for $525. I called Wes right away and he sent over the necessary pictures and documentation to support the supplemental payment. I am still blown away by the amount of time Wes spent with me (on the phone or via text), our insurance carrier and our mortgage company. Most contractors walk away once they’ve received payment. This is not the case with Wes or Peak Roofing. You are in such good hands with Peak Roofing and I am thrilled to recommend them to anyone in need of roofing services.

Jimmy Smith of Peak Roofing did a superb job cordinating all parts of the project! Very pleasant experience that I had dreaded doing! Workmen were very skilled, respectful to my extensive landscaping.

Was not necessarily pleased with the initial repair (in 2017), as the shingles were not an exact match, and there was some work issues that I was not happy with. And then there was another leak in the area repaired again, so they came back out on 1/31/18 to repair the secondary leak. The Peak rep thought the leak was coming from around the heater vent stack in the repaired area, so they put silicone all around the vent tube (again) and cheap looking tape around the tube as well, thinking/hoping this is where the leak was coming from. We won't really know until the next hard rain. The vent tube looks like a mess now with a non-matching silicone color around the vent tube, but they did not have the right color of silicon and paint on their truck that would have matched the shingle color. I thought they would have that covered since this was a second visit. At the end of the day, I just want it to not leak and for the vent tube/stack to look better than it looks now after the repair. The vent tube looks like a mangled mess now. I hope to get them back out to paint the vent stack to a matching color of the shingles. After all said and done, I would've preferred to have replaced the vent tube stack and not trying to patch it back together if the water is/was leaking from that old metal stack. I would hire them again if this is properly resolved to my satisfaction.

The service and quality of work we got from Peak was exceptional!

It took them approximately 2 days total to finish the work (gutters, painting, roof replacement, etc.) and I can say I am very satisfied with the result

Wes Hatch met with me and designed the new system . Wes' crew had to come out and tweek the system a couple of times, but that was to be expected since it was a new and original design. Wes made sure the work was finished and doing the job it was designed to do. I am very happy with the final product

Could not have been more satisfied with the work Peak Roofing Systems completed on my home. They replaced my roof and repaired my gutters. Wes Hatch made the process completely smooth and stress free. He also had his talented crew install special "Zridge" high profile shingles at all the ridge peaks. I attached a picture that shows how sophisticated and unique it makes my roof look, especially since I'm the only one on my street with them. Thanks Wes & Peak!

Wes Hatch and his team of true professionals went above and beyond. 2 years in a row of complete demolition was wiped clean with speed and expertise that i have never seen before and i worked construction for years. I will be a customer for life. Seriously, NO ONE comes close to these guys. Geen was great to work with during the repair process. He was always avalible and responded quickly to my questions and concerns.

Sy Van Horn was quick to return my call and schedule an appointment. He was also at my home when the State Farm agent came to assess the damages, which was a huge help. He did a great job explaining the process and cost, and was always quick to respond. He helped me decide on the new roof color by providing me with houses to look at. It only took one day to replace the roof. I highly recommend Sy and Peak Roofing Systems!

Having been through this kind of storm damage/repair before, I was well versed on how difficult and horrible any/all of the experience can be. That was definitely not the case with Peak Roofing - specifically JR Rivera as the lead guy on our project. He proactively communicated everything as it unfolded, and the job got both scheduled and completed well ahead of the initial ETA. While I hope that I won't require their help with another large insurance claim, they will be the first and only phone call I make should it happen again. I would highly recommend them to anyone that asked.

When our home was hit pretty hard in the April 2017 hail storm we wanted to have our roof inspected. I called Jeff at Peak Roofing and he came out and showed me the pictures of the damage and suggested I call our insurance company to have an adjuster come out. Jeff came out and met the adjuster and they walked the roof of the home and shed together. Shortly after that I was advised that the roof and gutters would need replacing and received two of three checks from our insurance company. Jeff provided us with a bid that detailed exactly what we wanted in a new roof while providing samples of the gutter colors and the roofing shingles. Having experience with the home improvement trades I realize that price should never be the only gauge used to hire a contractor. That said, I shopped Peak’s pricing and found them to be very good. Another aspect of hiring a roofing contractor in Texas is that they are not required to be licensed by the state. That makes it imperative, in my opinion, that the company we hire have insurance (liability and worker’s compensation), a history of satisfied customers (reviews), and just be good people to work with. Peak has met these criteria. The best part? They finished the job after making several repairs to the patio roofing and shed and the new roof looks great! Their people were all very courteous and they cleaned up very well when they were finished. We cannot think of a single thing we did not like about this experience.

Peak Roofing Systems was able to work with me and my insurance company - USAA - to provide me with a quality roof and gutter materials that fit my budget and insurance estimate. The roofing crews were on time, worked hard, efficiently, and completed my project on time and with minimal problems. Jimmy Smith (The Sales Rep/Coordinator) stayed on the crew to clean-up periodically and to keep nails out of the alley and street. The gutter contractor was a day late, but made up for it working quickly and efficiently to provide a fine and nice looking gutter system.

Jimmy Smith with Peak Roofing responded quickly to our request for evaluation of hail damage to our roof. Peak was one of three local roofing companies that were rated as the best in the business. I did an in-depth search on the internet. I wanted to find a highly rated company that was local for future problems that might arise; someone I could call and know that my problem would be addressed quickly and correctly. Jimmy convinced me by everything he did during the evaluation. While other companies' representatives did a cursory walk over my roof to determine the damage, Jimmy went to extremes to identify problem areas, not only with my roof but he identified every knick and knock completely around my house. Then, when insurance adjuster came to make his determination, Jimmy met him and, because Jimmy had experience in adjusting, he offered to help the adjuster and stayed right with him throughout the process. Jimmy established a friendship with the adjuster with the attitude he displayed of assistance rather than adversarial. I was impressed. When I asked Jimmy about placing radiant barrier between the shingles and the roofing felt, he explained to me that the radiant foil placed in not a radiant barrier. The radiant barrier is an air-gap created between the radian foil and the source of heat. Without an air-gap, the foil becomes simply a third layer of material on your house. After he left, I researched radiant barrier on the internet. Jimmy was absolutely correct. The best source of information on radiant barrier can be found at [*** Link removed ***] . There are several reports on not only radiant barrier but also all of the different ways of venting the roof and how using multiple venting applications may and probably will defeat the venting process. Jimmy had also explained that to me. My point, Jimmy was probably the most honest and caring person I dealt with. Installation for me was done in one day. Keep in mind that I was not waiting to see if there would be any more hail. The crew he dispatched was exceptional. Jimmy came at the beginning of the job, during the job and after completion. My yard at the end of the project looked exactly like it did before the project began. When an insurance adjuster came to adjust my next door neighbor’s roof, he pointed to my roof and said “whoever did that roof did an excellent job”. I especially like the GAF Timberline HD shingle that was installed. I’ve had two houses with wood shake shingles in my lifetime. I loved the look. The shingle installed by peak looks much like wood shake shingles but without the danger that wood poses. You cannot go wrong with Peak Roofing.

I was very impressed with Peak Roofing Systems and their personnel. We had our entire roof replaced in June of 2017 and the quality and service we received was outstanding. Our rep was Sy VanHorn and he was not only knowledgeable but he was professional, punctual, honest and a pleasure to work with. He took care of everything for us from being there when the adjuster came to dealing with the insurance company. Our roof was completed on time and looks beautiful. The crew was also great and they cleaned everything up nicely. I would highly recommend Sy and Peak Roofing to anyone. They are a first class operation.

The work was done on time, the employees were very courteous and prompt, and they did a fantastic job. The overall process was very easy, they answered all of our questions, and didn't pressure us on anything at all. We had lots of roofers come through and the vast majority frankly seemed a bit slimy. Peak was the complete opposite. They were extremely nice, very honest and professional, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing work done.
