+ -1 moreIt was a very hot day, yet they spent extra time in the attic trying to locate a switch that was convenient. They also moved the attic switch to a more convenient location. They obtained a permit from the city and returned for the inspection. I was extremely pleased with their work, the clean-up and their professionalism.
Description of Work: They replaced the electrical breaker box, installed GFI plugs, garage lighting, outdoor lighting and attic lighting.

+ -1 moreCalled and scheduled for the next day. Got a call the next day and they needed to reschedule for the following day, which was Saturday. (Which is why they didn't get rated all A's.) Electrician got here when promised and did a professional job. Fixed the breaker issue and found that the ballast for the puc lights needed replacing (which my husband will do later). Price was fair for the time spent and work completed.

+ 1 moreTodd and his crew were great. Initially I was a bit concerned about having four people in my home at once ... all working in different areas of the house. But it only took a few minutes with these guys to realize my concerns were unwarranted. These guys were very professional, polite, accommodating and respectful of my home. Drop cloths galore and blue booties over their shoes. It was a bigger job, so I'm certain the crew was for the benefit of my time. I appreciated the fact that leading up to the work, it was very easy to reach Natasha in the office. That was not the case with another electrician I considered hiring. These people are organized. A meeting with Todd was scheduled within two or three days of my original call. I was given a window and Todd called 30 minutes prior to arrival. He spent at least a half-hour with me fielding my questions and even making a couple suggestions. The estimate was not the lowest, but then again I couldn't even get that guy to answer his phone or respond to email reliably. Todd's rates were not much higher though and I felt comfortable that they were fair. Sometimes people give you the feeling that they are trying to get top dollar out of you. I did not feel that way at all with Todd. In fact after watching them for over five hours doing their thing - I feel I paid a very fair rate. A couple of the installs presented complications, but they worked through them. They even had to run to Home Depot to grab a few extra parts. I wondered if I might see the cost of those parts added on to the quoted price. Nope - I paid exactly what was quoted. I'd feel comfortable referring these guys to anyone and will most definitely call on them again. Natasha, Todd, Calvin, Mike and Red ... THANKS!!!
Description of Work: Replace garage, entry and dining room lighting. Add pendant lighting above breakfast bar. Replace/move bathroom and security lighting. Add ceiling fans. Add dimmer switches.

+ 0 moreLight It Up Electric Light It Up Electric, took out the old light fixtures and put up the new ones, they had to move the box over a little bit and they did a clean job with it. They were timely, came out and did an estimate first, were professional and they were great.
Description of Work: Light It Up Electric I used Light It Up Electric, to change four light fixtures and move a box over. It was probably in January and the cost was about $500.

Description of Work: Light It Up's owner and his assistant arrived better than on time - they were about 5 minutes early. They hang a crystal chandelier, replaced a bathroom vanity fixture and replaced the outdoor light that could only be reached with an extra-tall ladder (the last at no charge). Including a run to Home Depo they were in and out in under 90 minutes.

Description of Work: Installed the outside wiring and panel box needed for a Hot Springs Grande Hot Tub. Light it Up Electric was the 5th company I contacted to get an estimate to set up the wiring for my hot tub (a referral from a friend that used them for the same service). Several things impressed me with this company (10 to be exact) , that non or some of the other companies didn't do. 1) They called me back the same day I left a message about service (I didn't have to chase them down) 2) They immediately set up a date to come out and give an estimate (was the next day) 3) They actually showed up at the time they said they would 4) The electrician actually carried a notepad with him taking down information as he assessed the job requested 5) He was the only one out of the five other electricians that did his homework, he was aware that this particular hot tub required a special 2 breaker box, and why it was a requirement. 6) Was the only electrician that was accurate to what my county's code requirements were 7) Had no problems with permits that were needed by the county in order to do the work 8) His business card stated contact numbers, location, license number, and insured 9) All the work was done when he said it would be, there was no change or surprises with the the total fee from the estimate, the work was very neat and professional looking 10) The quotes i received from the electricians ranged from $250.00 to $1200.00, this company was at the higher end of the scale (the only reason i scored pricing as good instead of excellent) I beleive the electrician was being "straight up with me", I also believe you get what you pay for, and I felt at ease knowing that the job was going to be done correctly I was so impressed with the whole expereince, I wouldn't even consider shopping around for estimates on the next project, they are my "go to" electrician if I ever need one again in the future

+ -1 moreWe had 3 canister lights that were shutting themselves off, as well as a closet light that used fluorescent bulbs doing the same thing. We also had a bathroom ceiling fan/light that needed put back together in working order. Todd was very prompt, polite, professional and efficient in the timeliness of his work. He had the problem solved within minutes. I felt the price was very fair. We will use Light It Up Electric again for future work.
Description of Work: Bulbs replaced in four hard to reach lights as well as a bathroom ceiling fan/light put back together in working order.
