ZERO star. The tech came out to check the issue with one of my sinks. He told me what the issue was and he recommended that I repair it myself. The repair did not fix the issue. I called back but they refused to come back to check the same issue. Horrible and unreliable company. I won't use them again. I don't recommend Lex's Plumbing to anyone.

Response from Lex's Plumbing
This customer would like us to be YouTube. He doesn't want to pay for services. He wants us to show him how to fix his plumbing repeatedly for the same $60 service fee. He declined to have work done by us, did it himself and he is unhappy with the result. He has now resorted to complaining on any platform he can find.

Chris and Austin we're fantastic, they explained everything that was going to be done and walked me through the process. Having water heaters that were 17 yrs old there were bound to be some issues found, and there were, with the attic flooring bracing. They re-braced the floor and installed the new equipment beautifully at no additional charge. Once complete Chris walked me through how to work the water heater, explained the shutoff valves, the flood stop, pressure tank and all the intricacies without ever making me feel as if I was being rushed, I highly recommend Chris and Austin from Lex's Plumbing not just for your Water Heater needs, but for any Plumbing needs you might have.

Lex's was the plumber selected by my Home Warranty company. I had never used them before. Robert came out and gave me all the details about what my Home Warranty covered and what it did not. As it turned out, he was absolutely right. The warranty company would pay $400 towards the total and I would pay $899 and he said there was no way to know the brand of the new Water Heater and would only be covered by a 6-month warranty. My old water heater was a Rheem and I wanted another high-quality water heater. I decided to take the $400 cash in lieu payment from the Home Warranty and paid it towards a new Rheem provided by Lex's with a much longer warranty and the cost to me was actually about the same approx. $1250. Lex's did the work the next day. We canceled the Home Warranty saving us $42 per month which will help pay for the Water Heater too. All in all I was very happy with the price, the quality of the job. I will use Lex's again in the future.

First of all, most plumbers charge more for coming out than what Lex's Plumbing charged for the entire service. Secondly, and most important, ask for Robert White. Kudos to Lex's Plumbing for hiring him. Says a lot about the way they screen their employees. He was one of the most curtious, honest, professional, explanatory (easy to understand terms), and helpful service people that we've ever used for any job - not just plumbing. He was more impressive, knowledgeable, articulate and customer-oriented than most doctors that I've ever used. No contest on who we use next for plumbing. Very impressed. I own my own business, and this is exactly that type of service that I expect and give.

Mike came within the time window given to me. I had got the estimate over the phone and it was less than what the others I contacted, had quoted (some were not willing to give an estimate on the phone). Mike was pleasant to talk to. He was very straight forward and after some inspection, told me the job did not need any bricks removed from the wall (which would have cost me extra). He replaced my old outdoor faucet with a new one and even took care of disposing the old faucet himself. Will hire again!!

Was an hour late. Was told there were not any new heaters that would fit. Too tall and too wide and would need to special order. Of course more money! Was told that a flow valve had to be installed for the new code. And this would be extra. Wrong! Was told that it would be difficult but he would find one and send an estimate today. I will say that at least it was not me who called them but the other way around.

honestly I don't have the words to properly reply to this review she had a 4 to 6 window and couldn't be home befor 4:30. My technicton arrived at 5:00. Second she lives in a trailer park and the water heater was over ten years old and had no shut off valve. The new water heaters have changed size do to making them more energy efficient so the dimensions are larger and might not fit. last and most important she wasn't charged a service fee. So we came out for free after hours on Friday and we still haven't found one that would fit and be a good price.

Don't EVER use Lex's Plumbing. They are the worst company I've ever dealt with. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I have my warranty with American Home Shield so that's how I crossed paths with them. My T&P valve was leaking at the exterior drain line of my patio so I called AHS. They sent Lex's Plumbing out on the 3rd week of July 2016. The plumber, Robert White, tinkered with the T&P valve on my water heater and said he was able to fix the leak. He also gave me the replacement price, $1,600 including parts, labor, etc. Very steep, crazy, price but I did not argue, thanked him for the quote and he left. Less than a week later the leak started again but because I was out of town, I wasn't able to address the issue until the 3rd week of August 2016. Same guy comes back out with a new T&P valve to replace the old one. Long story short, he broke the T&P valve on my water heater while trying to remove it. He then admits that the REAL reason he did not replace it the first time he was out here in July was because it was stuck and he hadn't been able to get it out. So basically, he lied about tinkering with it and everything being okay. He then refused to accept that he broke it (Who did, the poltergeist in this house????), later reporting to AHS that the valve "crumbled" because of old age and arguing with me about what happened. Robert then proceeds to drain my 50-gal water heater, all in anticipation of the price-gouging they're about to hit me with. I'm left with no access to hot water of course. I find out after he leaves that he actually ordered another water heater through AHS, something I never authorized. Lex's claims they did not order it, by the way, and that AHS automatically orders one after the contractor calls. That's B.S., says AHS, because they first have to speak with the homeowner to determine what steps they'd like to take. For example, they have a cash out option and some home owners go that route. I was going to call them to discuss all my options before deciding what to do and Robert had no right to make any decisions for me. Here comes the kicker. Lex's Plumbing sends me a receipt for the out of pocket costs I would pay, costs that my AHS warranty does not cover and it was for $1,121. Every line item on the invoice was at least 3 1/2 times the retail, some of them as high as 5 times more. A few examples to prove my point: the town I live in charges $50 for the water heater permit, Lex's invoice price was $189. I can understand a company charging me $20 - $30 extra for driving less than 4 miles to the town office to fill out a form to get this done. But to charge me $139 more for this is not right. It's IMMORAL! They were going to charge me $289 for an expansion tank when they retail for between $30 and $40. $249 for water modification when NOTHING like that is needed and even if it was, no more than $50. I could go on and on with the items on the NONSENSICAL invoice they e-mailed me. After speaking with AHS and telling them to cancel that water heater ordered, I got the installation done by a VERY reputable plumbing company for $700. That price included everything my town needed to bring the installation up to code. I then report Lex’s to bbb.org and in their response to my complaint, Lex's compounds their lies by accusing me of calling the office manager and “yelling at her”. I was shocked! Who are these people??? I am left with no other recourse and have made it my mission to tell the whole world how bad this company is. I was thinking that maybe, just maybe, their employee Robert White was the one bad apple over there but it looks like they’re all the same. Even if you wanted to side with your employee to avoid paying me anything, you could have done it in a way that would convey your regret without accepting fault but to lie in this way tells me the whole company is rotten to the core.

Our water heater went out, so we called Lex's Plumbing to come out and take a look at it because we'd used them in the past and liked them. Alex arrived at our home within 20 minutes of us calling him. Much as we suspected, our tank had burst. Alex was able to replace it the very same day, and we had hot water again by 1 PM that afternoon. I was so impressed that they were able to take care of us the same day that we called them. This is almost never the case with a service provider, so I was blown away. Alex wasn't pushy and didn't try to sell us something that we didn't need like many people do. I felt totally comfortable that he was being honest with us about what we needed done. We will definitely continue to use Lex's Plumbing in the future.

When you move into your first home you expect to find issues. When you do it can be difficult finding the right company to execute the work you want done correctly and with complete satisfaction. Lex's Plumbing did an excellent job repairing my leak and doing so very quickly. I originally contacted Alex about what I thought was a leak back in November after dealing with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (don't ever use this company). He answered and informed me he could have someone out to the house within the week. Robert showed up on time and was very professional and after reviewing everything and explaining to me personally what different situations that could cause a rise in water in the lawn. He informed he wasn't sure exactly what was causing the leak . He gave me his honest opinion and advised me that we could wait a couple weeks and see if it was a drainage issue or we could dig it up and maybe find the leak. I decided not to move forward with the digging and just wait. After having a drainage company come out and advised me he wasn't sure what the issue could be either, but drainage wasn't the problem. I called Alex the next day and explained to him the situation I was in. He personally came out to my house the next day and performed a leak test to find out where exactly this leak was coming from. Keep in mind my water bill never spiked or changed drastically causing the major concern of what exactly could this be. After performing the test, Alex found exactly where it was coming from. He called me right away explained the situation clearly and provided me the total to get the work done. I told Alex let's do it and to put me on the schedule right away. Later that day I received a call from Alex saying there was a cancelation on a job and he could have someone out there that same day. When I had come home from work Robert was finishing up and updated me on everything. The work that was done was top notch and looked excellent. This company is one of the best I have ever dealt with in regards to professionalism. They gave me their honest opinion on everything and never tried to up sell me on something that wasn't necessary like any other plumbing would do. Thank you Alex and Robert for both providing me an experience I will not forget. Amy issues with plumbing you need to reach out to Alex and his team.

Our water heater stopped working; it tripped its high-temperature limit, and was beginning to leak as well. I called Lex's, and they offered an appointment about two hours out, with a 2-hour window; Chris arrived well within the window. Because it's located in the attic, I hoped a repair would be possible, but Chris pointed out that the tank was 12 year old, and the leak was the tank itself, not the seal where the heater passes into the tank. So replacement was the only option. He quoted a standard $1250 all-inclusive price for a 50-gallon Rehm water heater, and did not try to upsell me. (Lex;s plumbers don't work on commission, as some others do.) But I inquired about anode rods, warranty, etc, and he offered a second anode rod, which extends the warranty, for $300 extra, and we decided to do that, as we have low quality well water. Lex's offers a 10% discount to Seniors, and that made the bill $1395. The standard tank has a 6-year warranty, and the second anode rod extends that to 10 years. Lex's Plumbing ccovers the installation for the same period, so in case of a problem during the tank and labor are both covered. Chris and his apprentice carried the old tank out of the attic and the new one back in with no damage, and did a neat professional installation. They cleaned up well afterward, and were careful of the bathtub while draining the old tank into it. They were polite and respectful, and stayed to answer some questions about a future plumbing job.

I was directed to Lex's Plumbing through AHS Warranty and I was not disappointed. Alex was very professional, taking time to look at everything and show me what was wrong and make sure I was OK with the repairs. He also let me know at the end how much I saved using my home warranty, which is great to know it is providing value. Even if I did not have a home warranty I would use Lex's Plumbing again.

lex's plumbing was great. They scheduled my appointment right away, called ahead like they promised, and showed up on time. The plumber was able to quickly diagnose the cause of the water pouring out of my tub faucet. He performed a quick and efficient repair, and charged a very reasonable price. This was a job that others had quoted hundreds of dollars and extensive work to fix and Lex's was quick to reassure that this was not necessary. The plumber was extremely friendly and courteous and was done in about 30 minutes. I will use them again next time.

1st they called 15 minutes before arriving, on time I might add. Both men were very professional and courteous. I showed them what needed to be done along with the inspection report. He assured me none of the items were a big deal and he could take care of all quickly. I must note that I called 3 plumbers for verbal quotes and I received 3 very different quotes/answers. Lex's Plumbing asked the most questions at the time of the call and was able to provide the best quote. $150 for re-seating the toilet. This included a new wax ring and any other hardware. They said no charge for checking CSST, finding the water shutoff valve and replacing the shower head. Company 1 (large plumbing company) quoted $200 for toilet $50 for shower head and $50 for CSST inspection. Company 2 a smaller company said they could not provide a reliable quote online and for a $50 service fee the Plumber could quote me onsite. If i chose to use them the $50 would be credited towards the work. Once at my house they checked the toilet and verified it was fine and only needed a toilet shim to resolve the loose bowl along with a bolt tightening. As noted above they could not remove the dog washing valve from the shower head so he provided a spare he had on his truck at no cost (Company 1 said if they had to provide a head it would cost $100 not $50). He then proceeded to complete all other work and walk me through what he saw. At the end he provided a detailed work order/receipt clearly documenting work done or inspected as it related to they Buyers Inspection/Repair request. To my delight and surprise the total bill came out to $89 not $150.
Description of Work: Reviewed buyers home inspection report. Inspected and repaired each item. Provided work order with each item completed. 1. Check and re-seat toilet if needed - verified seal was good and tightened 1 bolt. 2. remove valve between shower head and shower pipe (it was leaking). They could not get the head off the valve so they just gave me a new head. You read that right a plumber did not charge me but just out of his kindness gave me the head (oh they were already doing this for free only charging me for the toilet repair which I might add was $61 less than they quoted) 3. inspect the CSST (natural gas distribution valves in attic). Verified it was secure, no leaks and there was enough roof clearance per inspection request 4. Locate water shutoff valve outside house (not the city water meter)

Service person arrived on time. They were courteous and did a great job of doing repairs. Both times they had the needed parts on their truck which made the repairs even faster. They emailed us a receipt. Just overall great job. When we first moved here, we used two different plumbing Companies and we were very dissatisfied with the other 2 Companies (slow response, poor work and very expensive!) Now we will only use Lex's Plumbing. So happy we found Lex's!

discovered on a Saturday afternoon in January that one of our outdoor faucets was leaking water. I looked a few other plumbers on Angie's List who did not provide Saturday service. I needed quick service and Lex was available. They came out quickly, replaced the problem faucet, I had them look at another faucet that was acting up as well and we replaced that one as well - both were broken. Was able to get the problem resolved without an emergency. I would use these guys again

This was supposed to be a warranty call for AHS. The employee that showed up immediately nullified any warranty based on his prior visits before we bought the house. The problem with this is that the warranty does not cover items that are not obvious to the naked eye or basic testing. His knowledge was much more in-depth from having taken apart things that would not be done on a standard inspection. He also kept making remarks and his company much prefers to full price retail work versus warranty work so I don't have a clue why AHS sends this company out. Not at all helpful. Plus he did not come with needed parts, so it appears he had no intention to do the work.

We had issues with our water heater and contacted (former) home warranty / service repair company - referred to as and quot;HWand quot; going forward (Home Warranty). Normally HW will have a host of contractors in their stable to draw from - most, we have found in our experience with dealing through AHS for a couple of years have been questionable in service, etc. This is a whole other discussion which I won't get into. Lex's came out through HW only after we researched the initial company that was due to come out and discovered numerous complaints about service, etc.. The initial complaint was for our water heater ignition mechanism not firing up any more. Lex's Plumbing came out and determined that the not only was the ignition assembly completely out, but that the water heater's overall condition was not worth repairing due to the age of the unit (17+ years old). Additionally, we had water bubbling up from the concrete floor in the garage which turned out to be the hot water feeder line into the house. They could have simply replaced the ignition unit as a and quot;bandaid fixand quot; at a substantially lower cost but instead opted to replace the entire heater as it was unconscionable for them to keep something as old as that in service that could potentially go at any moment. Most other contractors dispatched by HW would not have done this - and most of you who've dealt with home warranty companies know this which is why I will use Lex's again for my future plumbing needs. They were extremely professional, timely in their work and most importantly honest and clear. I was very relieved to get this level of service and honesty from an HW - dispatched contractor. Why was Lex's working through HW? I later learned that aside from their normal business, Lex's also operates through AHS for their own advertising purposes. If someone has a good experience with them, word of mouth will spread, and so forth. They may decide that taking dispatches from AHS is no longer worth it to them which would be a loss to HW. Although home warranty companies are cheaper in most cases to have things fixed, the level of BS you have to go through with the crummy contractors they send out to get things done right (not to mention the time it takes to actually get fixed) thorougly negates any savings in my book. Time taken off from work, headaches, bad attitudes - we've experienced all of it. I'd rather pay a little more, have an excellent service experience and have it done right. Lex's Pumbing helped us realize that and for that we thank them as well.

If we had had this plumbing company come out for anything other than an issue covered by our homeowner's warranty, I'm sure it would have been a different story. They were VERY prompt in returning my call and scheduling an appointment. The office was very professional and called 30 minutes prior to the technician's arrival. Unfortunately, we were sent a technician that appeared to have either little knowledge and/or little experience. He took a look at the wall showing signs of a leak, used a tool to measure for moisture and assessed that, yes, we did have water in our wall. First step, done. Next, he took apart the shower handle and found a small leak dripping from the handle down the wall. He replaced one part of the faucet fixture because, according to him, that was the only part covered by the warranty. So a leak (not sure if it was THE leak causing the damage) was fixed. Done. I then asked him if the leak could be caused by damaged grout along the base of the shower and he said he wasn't sure. I would have been fine with that answer except he told me to have another company come out assess the leak and damage. He even called the company for me. I think there was a miscommunication because he failed to mention (if he knew) that they don't assess leaks. They assess the damage already done by the leak and dry it out...for a hefty price not covered by our homeowners warranty OR our homeowner's insurance. Why would I call a company to come dry the walls and not know why it was wet?? He performed no tests on the shower pan (which we found out later could be done or I would have asked). I'm hoping he didn't perform any tests because he knew it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. Although I still felt like it was a bit lazy to not propose ANY suggestions. On top of not receiving any kind of diagnosis as to the problem with our shower and the leak, he and quot;fixedand quot; the faucet handle so that now we have to turn it to just the right place or our shower won't turn off...hence the reason for the D quality rating. After putting the handle back on after he fixed the leak, he asked, and quot;did the handle always go around like that?and quot; I said no, and he informed me that it was ORIGINALLY broken and he had fixed it but it was missing a piece that the warranty DID NOT cover and so he couldn't finish fixing it. Come to find out, the shower faucet was properly working BEFORE he took it apart. There were no pieces missing. He took it apart, might have fixed one problem (we don't use the shower for now until it can be properly fixed) just to cause another one...and tell me it was wrong before he fixed it. Since then we have had an independent plumber come in and look at the shower. We did not call Lex's plumbing back out to fix the handle partly because we're replacing the whole fixture by a different plumber and partly because it's not worth the hassle of arguing over possible additional charges. As any other homeowner, we just want the problem fixed and done.
