Horribly from start to finish. My husband knows someone that works here so they were our first call. It was a Saturday and they were very courteous on the initial call, letting us know that Saturday's are reserved for emergencies and since our other unit worked, they would be out first thing Monday. It all went downhill from there. Monday came and no one showed. I called, no answer and left a message. No return call so I called again and got a call back from a woman with an attitude asking me what I wanted. I said someone is supposed to be here. The first of their lies was "oh well, the tech had a flat tire." So the guy shows up and wasn't told what he was there to do - he thought he was giving an estimate and not fixing anything. So he gets his tools and pulls off some part. Our unit was old and he needed to search for a part. He left and we never heard from them again unless we contacted them. So all week, no update and no AC. We ended up buying a portable one so we could sleep in our bedroom. So after getting ****** - they come Friday and tell us we need a new unit and collect $9k. This was the only appointment they were on time for. So the following Monday a crew shows up to put in the new unit. They had received ZERO instructions, and didn't have the proper equipment. We felt really bad for them - they didn't have a crane and were not told the unit was on the roof so my husband helped lift it up a ladder. It was ridiculous! They were speaking in Spanish not knowing we understood, that this company was junk and they were tired of these issues and wouldn't work with them again. So they did the best they could and got us working. However, as the instructions didn't get passed to them - several things were not as requested. So we had to contact Choice OVER AND OVER again to get it resolved. The owner had the nerve to show up to my house with an attitude after THEY made so many mistakes. They damaged my office and had no intention of fixing it, and still haven't. This was a horrible experience. I don't know how they have good reviews.

Ma'am I apologize that you were not satisfied with the service provided. As for the flat tire issue I do apologize and wish we would not have gotten one on the way to your house. I am very sorry about that. And as far as collecting nine thousand during an estimate well I am appalled that a customer would insinuate that we did that. Your job was Financed so you know we never collected a dime or even a signature until the job was done, I am sorry if it was miscommunicated on our end to that effect however we would never accept a dime or even a signature on a final invoice without the job being completed first. I am sorry you felt I had an attitude with you, I am not sure I could have smiled any more politely than I did or speak any a softer tone than I did. I actually had no idea you felt this way and it is my mistake for only speaking only once or twice to you, with very few words spoken when we did talk. I am occasionally quiet when focused on a task and I am very sorry of how I came across. I will do my very best to address my approach. I felt like your husband and I got along very well every time we spoke. He was a nice gentleman and I honestly felt you were a gracious host as well, again I had no ideal you felt this way and only wish I would have known sooner. I do agree with you that we did spend a little longer on your job than most and Even had an on-sight coordinator. (Your husbands friend.) You are right that this job took a little bit longer than usual. The equipment was not a direct replacement. The equipment you REQUESTED was NOT the same as what you had. You were well aware that this was going to be a tight fit when you requested to change to a different unit in a totally different location! You requested that we go from the SMALL the ABOVE THE TUB unit (literally 2.5' wide by 1' tall by 2' deep in a recessed ceiling cavity, literally above the tub) to a HORIZONTAL AIR HANDLERl WITH a SUPPLY and RETURN FILTER PLENUM! (2' wide by 2' wide by 10' long) IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LOCATION!! I am not yelling or trying to be rude I am saying this with enthusiasm and a smile! This was a really tough job, lol... We informed you that we would have to get the equipment into an area that we literally had to crawl around in. I thought our crew performed a wonderful job within a very decent time frame given the circumstances. (The highest point in the area you wanted the equipment in is about 4.5 ft and quickly drops from there. We also had to remove metal pipe just to get the equipment in) Not to mention, we REPLACED ALL of the ACCESSIBLE of the DUCT WORK. This was a Very Big Job and Labor Intensive and as someone who has been in the industry for a very long time I can honestly say that you got the deal of the year at about 30% cheaper than any other company could have done it and this was only because of the deal your husbands friend had worked out for you. I do understand the Misconception that some home owners might have about that work that really goes into a confined area like your attic. Frankly its hard to get into your attic to even see and trust me when I say it is even Harder to crawl around and do the work that needs to be done in an area like that. I am very sorry that we had a disgruntled employee in your attic. However our lead Installer is a very good and knowledgable employee. Once he finished that job he informed us of the difficulties he was having with that employee (his helper) and we let him make the decision to terminate his helper and he is no longer with us. Unfortunately this is tough work that can be very frustrating, and not everyone handles the stress of working in the 120 degree attics as well as we might want them to. I do remember that you wanted another supply run that was not on our original estimate. (so not only did we do all of the duct work but we added 2 additional supply runs..) And while our lead tech (who is very good by the way) may have mentioned it, it was never put into the original estimate and never accounted for on the invoice and this was our fault through and through. However you have to admit when I was made aware of this I made it happen, and yes it was another trip out but I made it happen at no extra cost. In fact I did the final duct addition my self with your husbands friend by my side. I thought we did a nice job and I even came back to address some other unrelated issues (not included in the original bid) at your husbands request with no additional cost involved. Since y'all are doing a remodel on the bathroom, which is why you didn't want the old style above the tub air handler there any longer, I did speak to your husband and tell him that at no cost we would come back and re-install the supply boot and register in that restroom with a new one at no charge when the ceiling is raised. I do keep my word and want you to know that I will be here to help with that if you are willing to give us a second chance. If not I completely understand and again I wish I would have known you were upset as this comes at a surprise. I give you my sincerest as well as my humblest apologies. As we all know not everyone can be pleased and I give you my word that I will do my best to please you or any of my customers if it's possible.

Owen did an awesome job. He pretty much went straight to the problem (bad capacitor). The hardware was still under warranty so he just charged for the labor. He also performed a check on my other AC unit, and double checked my work cleaning a clogged AC drain. I was going to let the remaining water in the collection pan evaporate, but he brought his shop-vac and cleaned it up. Best not to let the water sit and rust the pan. I have been waiting to find an AC company I can trust to get set up on a preventive maintenance plan. I immediately signed up with Choice Air.

Called them up in the morning after my heater stopped blowing warm air and they were able to send someone out that day, decided the most cost efficient thing to do was replace the unit and by the next day the unit was delivered and installed and is working perfectly, definitely recommend A++

The install went seamlessly. I explained our problem to them. They showed up within 24hours. The problem that we had was fixed in a timely manner. They new exactly how to fix the problem, and the price was right. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to find a reputable HVAC company.
Description of Work: We had a air return vent installed in our downstairs, due to one room getting hot and one staying cold.

Chris is fantastic and Omar preformed great work on a Sunday. I called at 430 on Saturday, Chris came by within 30 min. He figured out the compressor was toast and within an hour he had me scheduled for a new unit at 9 the next morning (Sunday) without even a word about it being the weekend and marking it up like most of the other people I talked with.
Description of Work: Replacement of one 5 ton unit on the weekend. I would recommend every day of the week to everyone I know. That is how much I appreciate the work Chris did.
