Description of Work: Couldn't have been a more pleasant experience dealing with Jack and his team at Benchmark. Would absolutely recommend without hesitation and would use again. I had a Mitsubishi split system installed in my garage and media room. Great unit, quiet, and efficient.

+ -1 more.Awful experienceThis business used to be a guy and his truck, and now it's a guy and his truck and whatever teenager just graduated air conditioner school the day before.They sold me a new air handler unit but when it still did'nt work I had to call someone else out to get my air conditioner working
Description of Work: changed air handler for a new one, but in four trips failed to notice hole in compressor in outside unit.Paid another company to finish the work.

+ 0 moreWe have used Benchmark for the past 4 years for our annual services, but when the downstairs unit needed replacing, we also received estimates from 4 other Angie's List companies. In the end, we felt most comfortable with Benchmark since we'd used them in the past and had always been satisfied. It was a bonus that their price was lower than any of the other companies. Our house has remained nice and cool this summer and our electricity bills have lowered considerably. The work was completed in a day and was scheduled for less than a week after we agreed to using Benchmark. The only complaint we could have possibly had was we didn't know when to expect the technicians and they didn't arrive until after 9 am. We worried that the work wouldn't be completed that day, but by 5 o'clock, it was finished.
Description of Work: Benchmark replaced our 2 ac units and performed some damper/duct work to improve our cooling/heating.

+ -1 moreWe scheduled to have them out on a Saturday and the owner requested we move it to Sunday. We waited at home two days and moved our schedule to accommodate him but he did not even lower the price. He could not fix the problem b/c it was an electrical issue b/c of a cheap piece of wire they used when installing our system (electrician we used walked us through the issue). He thought is was a fuse box problem when the wire was easily determined by looking at the system, which he supposedly looked over. We have decided to find a new heating and air company.The man who installed our system from Benchmark was very professional, but we believe he has moved on b/c we have not seen him in a long time. Description of Work: I pulled three companies from Angie's List to call services. Since it was on a Friday evening I filled out on-line information with each. Benchmark called and left a message that evening. We visited Saturday morning and set a time for a crew to come out to my house. Since I stayed at a hotel, I set the time for 8:30am. His technician called from in front of my house at 8:15 ready to work. My house is about 10 years old and I've had ongoing problems from the start with the larger unit. Assessment was that my upstairs compressor was shot and would need a new unit. The downstairs unit could add refrigerant to get back on track. I had estimates done and Benchmark was quick and competative. I decided to get BOTH units replaces with new coiling systems intalled as well. They lowered the cost by about 800.00 for the two units coming in under 10,000.00 As far as services and installation. After I gave them the go ahead. James and his partner ordered the parts that day and showed up the next moring at 7:30am right on schedule to get started. He explained the process and that is was about 6 hours worth of work. He put down tarps through the front, back and going up to the attick. I had a business appointment that I had to be at that afternoon, and James finished the project while I was out, cleaned up and called my cell to let me know he locked up and went out the back door. Came home to a cool house and didn't even know they had benn there, besides the new equipment at the side of the house. Overall, quick to respond. Reliable and forthright when answering questions. .It's never fun to have to fork out money for these kind of things, but at least Benchmark made it a little easier. I will use them again.

+ -1 moreThey put in the new heating and A/C system about ten years ago and it is still working fine. I recommended them to my neighbor but they went with another company and are paying for it now. I would recommend them highly. They are local, do quality work and in my opinion they go above and beyond for somebody who knows very little about heating and A/C. They pointed out something that we didn't know but after they told us now we can reduce our cost of heating and cooling in this place. They service it every year, we've had only one major problem and they settled it right then. They charge 129 dollars for the visit. They put in a new air filter and check the unit out.
Description of Work: They took out a heating & cooling unit that was twenty plus years old and put a new two stage system. They also come out twice every year for servicing.

Benchmark A/C And Heating offers the following services: New equipment sales, service on existing heating & air conditioning equipment, year round maintenance on all brands, replace blower motors, compressors, outside fan motors, capacitors, contactors, freon leaks search, add freon (both kinds). If you have on old system we can replace it with a more enviromentally friendly system. Call for a free quote on a new system. If your system is not working there is a small service charge. We sell Trane, Amana, and Goodman systems.
Plumbing, electrical other than what hvac is connected to. Contractors need a serperate state license for that we dont have. You would need to call a plumber for all plumbing needs. And an electrician for electrical needs other than what the HVAC equipment is connected to.
