My pool light was not working. So I called him to schedule an inspection and a troubleshoot. The price was $259.95. When he came, what he did was basically look at the breaker and check the switches by the pool. He probably spent 15 minutes to do that. He then summoned me and told me that what was wrong was the breaker sticking out of the pool were already corroding badly. He then gave me estimates to have that fixed: $800 (on top of the initial charge) to replace the pool light fixture, $2,500 to ground the circuitry, and $900 to install the actual circuits for a total of $4,100. I gasped at the estimate (that price to just fix a non-working pool light). But going back to the $259.95. There was no troubleshooting done. Only an inspection. The price would have included troubleshooting (additional for parts). Since there was no troubleshooting done, should the price not have been reduced? What he did was basically gave me an estimate. I told the technician how I felt about the price and he simply gave me an analogy about doctors and check-ups. I felt that the price was exorbitant, almost a rip-off. I wouldn't use him again nor would I recommend him to anyone. UPDATE: Just found out last night that the outlet Troy (the technician/owner) worked on stopped working. I had a landscape lighting plugged into that outlet. Now that even is not working. Plus, the post where the landscape lighting transformer was attached - he pulled it out of the ground then placed a 5-lb designer rock that was in front of it to the side - both those he didn't even have the courtesy to put back. It was a very, very sloppy job. STAY AWAY! UPDATE: Troy called the following day and was willing to drop the charges to satisfy a customer. He told me that what he did was turn off the outlet to make it safe. He was willing, however, to cancel my check to satisfy a customer. I told that was not fair to him. What he did, instead, was come back and turn the outlet on and made it safe. I am very happy with his professionalism although I still find his prices a bit high.

This was a horrible experience. Troy came out and first or all charged 200 just to look at the pool light. All it needed was to be replaced. He then proceeds to charge $595 to replace a minor part and the light. He ruined the entire light fixture and it is sticking out at least 1 1/2 inch from the surface! As it is far from flush, the inside is exposed to the water. It is a very dangerous situation. He said he did all he could do and now I have to find someone to repair his job! Please do not use this company for any work. The price is so exorbitant that he charged that it is criminal. He is clearly not a professional and does very poor quality work. If any one wants to see photos, please contact me. Please also be aware that if there is any issue, he will not do anything to resolve it. I ended up filing a claim with the BBB and instead of ANY resolution, he wanted me to pay him $600 more! If you do not believe me, look it up. THIS WAS ALL FOR A POOL LIGHT REPAIR THAT COSTS $90
