Showed up on time, provided tune up and wheel replacement on both of our garage doors and replaced an opener that quit working. Realigned both doors to run more smoothly on the tracks, and was done within a couple hours. Very happy with the work done.

Was having problems with my garage door opening. I contacted Randy who installed the motor and spring a few years ago. He explained that LED and/or florescent blubs could interfere with the signal. Sure enough, he was correct, but it wasn't the bulbs. We had an electric gate installed and they plugged the controller next to the garage door opener. Once I moved the controller to a different wall the opener worked like a champ. I would recommend Academy door to anybody needing any sort of repair.

I called and spoke to Randy (he answered and did not get voicemail...yay!) about replacing old garage door opener. He went over all of the types of openers and explained in detail the difference of each. He took his time and answered all of my questions. He gave me a quote, explained the process and I went ahead and scheduled the install date/time. I went ahead with one of his best models with a belt drive with battery backup...and it is really quiet compared to my old unit. His crew was on time and Randy was also there to oversee the installation. They also tuned-up the door as well without me even having to ask. His crew was very polite, professional and very timely with the installation. After the installation, Randy went over everything I needed to know about the new opener and how to program the keypad and inside wall unit, since it has a lot of safety features, clock, temp, etc. I would definitely use him again in the future for tune-ups and recommend his company to others. Randy came out on a Saturday to evaluate damaged glass in one of my builder-grade doors and broken frames on each of two broken doors. We discussed options ranging from repairs to replacements, all with varying prices. While he recommended replacing the doors themselves, he said the openers would be fine -- I was the one who wanted new openers due to some features (quieter operation, smartphone capabilities). He was willing to make work whatever I was comfortable with, and explained the benefits of each price point and feature level. I ended up choosing a high-end option with longer-term durability; he accommodated (didn't necessarily match, but we reached an agreement) pricing that I found online for the openers and we made arrangements for installation a couple days later. His crew arrived right on time, and completed the job in less than a day, including removal of all existing equipment -- with a perfectly clean job site at the end. When he was done, he explained everything to my wife on how to operate the major features of the openers, and left detailed instructions for how to program the advanced features so I could review those later. (That wasn't a matter of him not wanting to explain anything to her -- it was her only being interested in the basics, and knowing I'd want all the bells and whistles when I got home.) I'm willing to bet there may be slightly less expensive options out there. I'm doubtful there are better options out there.

He did a wonderful job. He was meticulous and very knowledge. He instructed me on how to watch for certain things.. He is a nice guy. He was efficient and clean. I would recommend him.

My call was immediately answered and I was able to schedule a prompt appointment. I was given a 2-hour time frame. The owner, Randy, called the day prior to my appointment to confirm the date/time, and when I asked if we could complete my appointment earlier in the morning, he was very accommodating. On the day of the appointment the technician called ahead to notify me that he was en route (20 minutes early! Excellent!). The technician was proficient, quick and polite. He mentioned a few areas/items to keep an eye on, provided high-level cost estimates should I ever wish to have the parts replaced, but he was very candid in saying I didn't need any of this work done immediately (just some point in the future as the units age). Overall, it was a great, efficient experience!

called several garage door companies to come and look @ my garage door that was in bad shape. none would come out to look @ door, they just told me to measure it and call back. they did give me estimates over the phone, but call back with size so they could order the door. i called academy door and randy arranged a time to come out and look @ door. he gave me estimates for different grades of doors. i told him we needed some trim around the door re-done. he arranged to take off door. let the person re-do the trim, and the send his co-worker out to install door when trim was done. work was done on a sat morning, with which fit into different schedules, when company normally doesn't work on sat. it was done with-in 2 hrs. i will call them back and have them install garage door opener when repairs on garage are finished, they did a wonderful job and i would recommend them to any who needed it.e

I realized my cables and spring had broken on my garage door when I saw cable hanging off the front of the closed door. I was smart enough to know not to try to open it. I told.my friend and she shared a coupon with me from Academy. I called the next morning and they were able to come at a time convenient for me that same day. He went right to work, knew what was needed and fixed it promptly. I also asked about my other garage door opener. I never had a remote for it from the time I had moved in this house. He was able to sell me a new one that I could use on both doors, at a reasonable price. He was courteous and professional. He Didn't try to sell me something I didn't need.

They came when they said they would, and the service tech was knowledgeable and professional. He didn't try to do a hard sell on a new door and opener, but did tell me what I already assumed: I need new ones (both are original to the house and or in rough shape). He gave me some verbal estimates so that could plan for the expense. He cleaned up the area when he was done and demonstrated what was done and the effect. The door opens smoothly and is MUCH quieter. I'll definitely give them a call when I'm ready for the new door and opener. This was a very good experience overall.
