Description of Work: Replace my refrig compressor and checked all the other components. |Great technicians and they were very accomodating in getting someone out to us ASAP! Will use them again

Description of Work: I have a 48 inch KitchenAid built in Fridge/Freezer combo. This unit was installed in 2005. It began to have problems with temperature settings. It could only cool to 50 degrees in the fridge and maybe 35 in the freezer. Abel came out and quickly said it was the Main Controller. Kitchen Aid does not sell this part, but will rebuild your existing board. It takes about 2 weeks. During this period, you better have another unit because the main one is turned off. Abel's owner said that they try to keep one in stock, and in a few days he came out and installed it. I asked him to send my unit in, and that I would buy that from him when he got it back. Apparently, Kitchen Aid has made major changes to these units, but they cost $8,000 to replace. Abel's owner believes we should get 20 years of service out of the compressor. I cannot say enough about how comfortable I feel with this company.

Description of Work: I called Able on a weekend to leave a voice message about set ting up an appointment during a week day about my refrigerator. He actually answered my call and asked a couple if questions about the brand and he asked me to check if there is water underneath the pantry tray. There was. So he asked me to turn off and empty the fridge and run a fan infront of it while leaving the doors open for the whole night. He said it might be a jammed drip pipe. He said if the problem persists, he can come look at it. | |What I appreciate is the honesty. He could have come there the next day and charged me the visiting fee and may be done exact same thing.

Description of Work: They fixed the dryer that was not turning on. They were perfect. I was very pleased with their services. This was our first time using their services, I was most impressed with their honesty and being on time.

Description of Work: They repaired by freezer and prior to that they repaired my refridgerator. The freezer would not cool and was low on freon. The repairs turned out very well.

Description of Work: We called Abel (Arney) to repair our dryer. He arrived promptly, identified the problem and supposedly fixed the issue. Three days later we had the same problem, there is a 30 day warranty so I called Arney back and he said will be over on Monday. I spent the next week each day calling Arney to see when he would come and fix our dryer.... I never heard from him again. 70.00 wasted. Abel appliance was recommended to us by Johns Appliance Repair in Plano. We called them to come out and repair the dryer next and they charged us 97.37 to do the same repair. UGH!

Description of Work: Larry was very helpful and honest over the phone. We ended up replacing our dishwasher instead of repairing it, but I would have definitely used His company had we opted for repair.

Description of Work: My Maytag refrigerator had problems with the ice maker. The young man that came out got it un-stuck and showed me where the problem was. He told me he could replace it, but it twould probably cost about $200.00. He said I could just leave it out, but of course I was not willing to do that. He went ahead and replaced it very quickly and honored the Angie's list discount. About a week or so after the repair, I got a nice thank you note from the company for using their services!

Description of Work: This is the 2nd time for me to use this contractor. I e-mail company late on Monday nite. Larry called me the next morning around 8:30ish. I had already sent him model number of my dryer. Had previously told him that the electric dryer was heating, but drum wouldn't turn. He said sound like a belt and quoted me approx $100. (It turned out to be $115 plus tax.) His son, Jordan, called me that evening about 5. Said he could be at my house after 5:30 PM . It might have been 6:15 PM when he got here. Not sure. However, he had the belt and put it on and I was back in business.

Description of Work: I called Abel Appliance repair because my washing machine was not working properly. They immediately returned my call even though it was after hours. We scheduled a repair date for today. I received a call stating that his wife had an injury and he was up most of the night. He quickly referred another repair person to me and said he would do a good job. He did. I totally appreciate the responsiveness and foolow-up. Even though I did not get to use him this time, I absolutely would do so in the future due to the professionalism. Thank you!
