He replaced the water valve behind the washer and it's been working fine since then, so I assume the repair went well.

The machine began to work for a day or so, but when they came back they found two other issues such as the door sensor and a circuit board which controls the agitation of the drum. At that point, I told them I would be buying a new washer. Able did not charge me for labor or the trip the second time they visited me. I would recommend this company to others as they are honest and very thorough in their job.

He saved us a lot of money by doing the work this way. The work is on a sub zero refrigerator. Instead of trying to up sell he said we should try the new product and told us he could not guarantee it but he had good luck with it in the past. He saved us $750.00 by not replacing the part. He managed to figure out an issue with an ice maker that another service provider could not and he did not charge us for that evaluation.

They tell you what they will do and then they do it. To begin with they thought the repair could be done in our home. However, this could not be accomplished so they took it to their shop and found yet another part that needed replacement. Jordon brought it back, installed it and the ice maker is now working just fine. Larry and his son are very good craftsmen and a pleasure to deal with.

A few problems in getting it scheduled, but overall a very positive experience. Would recommend.

Larry was excellent he came out and repair our fridge ice maker, he was able to replace it in record time he was very professional and courteous. He also tried to fixed our oven thermostat. He went above and beyond trying to find a part but our oven but the oven was so old he could not find the part, none the less he tried so hard forus. We ended up just buying a new stove.

Larry, the owner, and his son Jordan, both had their days booked up already when I called at 10 AM, so he referred me to Arnie who regularly fills in when they are not available. Arnie was here by 2:00 PM and was immediately able to determine the problem by the sound the washer made. Since he had a new replacement part on his truck, he had the washer repaired and re-installed within about 1/2 hour. He volunteered that there was a 10% price discount because I was an Angie's List member, and told me what the final price would be before he ever started the job, just to confirm that the cost for the job was acceptable to me. We do not pass out compliments gratuitously, but we could not be more pleased.. He was very experienced, fast, proficient, and efficient. He even had previously designed and made a couple unique tools that allowed him to proceed with the repairs even more quickly. He was very polite, courteous, friendly.and business-like. Thank you Arnie and Larry.

Jordan was extremely personable. He listened to what the problem was and then began troubleshooting possible causes. He stopped to remove lots of dust from the compressor motor before finding and solving the problem of a faulty valve. He explained what needed to be done as well as the price of the part before actually replacing it. I had to call them back a couple of days later for a broken garbage disposal and they were here in less than 30 minutes. Super friendly again, and a couple of turns of a wrench and we were back in business.

He recommended that I get rid of the appliance because there were several parts that are no longer available for order. He was very thorough and he went through and advised me of the parts he could get and the parts he could no longer order. He also was punctual and arrived at the time he said he would.

He was unable to complete the repair immediately or with a part he had ordered. He was very pleasant, professional, and he tried very hard to get the repair completed. He eventually was able to complete repair.

I have hired them twice now and they have done a great job both times. I have no complaints with the service or company. I would highly recommend them to others.

The work turned out great! He was very reasonably priced. He was wonderful and very dependable.

They did a very great job. It was an older oven and they had to do research to order to determine the part and repair. I was very pleased with their service.

This company has helped before on my dryer. This time it was a washing machine issue. They were very courteous and professional. Will use them again.

I called Larry on Thursday and he ordered the part. He followed up with me on Monday and gave me options for an appointment time. He was prompt, courteous, efficient and overall spent about 20-30 minutes replacing the valve. When he received a call on his cell, he told the caller he would call them back since he was on a job with me, which was nice. I hate being a third party on that type of conversation. I have a one year warranty on parts and labor. Very pleased with the service.

I had them come over for water on the floor and ice machine not working. He removed the ice that was built up on the coils and we had to defrost it. He replaced a valve to try to get the ice machine to work. Ended up having Larry come over and both worked on it for a while and determined 1 or both boards would need replacing, but that wouldn't be worth doing cost-wise. they charged me for the defrost. I appreciate their honesty and effort and would call them again. the only issue is that he forgot to drill a small shelf back in the freezer.

He had great reviews and stated he worked on subzeros so I scheduled an appointment. He did not show up on time and when he finally did show up (3 hours later), he just took off the top part of the subzero, stated it was low on freeon and added freon and stated he thought that would fix it. I paid him and he left. Called him back 2 days later because the same issue of the freezer not holding. Again he was several hours late. He stated it may be the valves and replaced those and then added leak sealer that he stated he had used before on subzeros with great success. I paid him again and he left. The freezer stopped working completely and when I called him back for the 3rd time he said it would be an additional $2500 to rebuild the freezer. When I called him with the estimates from others, he stated that I guess I should just use someone else! I contacted another company for a bid and they came out and that is when I realized that I had been using the wrong person! First, they were on time and did not constantly talk on the phone with other customers while they were here. Second, they removed the back panel from the freezer and refrigerator and inspected the coils. In addition, he inspected the bottom of the freezer where he identified some leakage. When I told him that leak sealer was added, I was told that will completely clog the coils that it is made for a/c and is too thick and that is why the freezer had completely stopped cooling. As a result I had to replace the complete heating exchange. The cost of the repair was $1800 and would have been less if the heating unit had not been ruined by Abel Appliance!

My 16 year old gas oven went out on a Sunday. I called Larry on Monday morning and he responded right away. He did some checking on his end based on my description of the problem and he called me back to say he felt he could fix it and thought he had the necessary part. I expected him between 3-5. When I called to check in Larry explained it was a very busy day but he would get to me that evening. He arrived around 6:15 and completed my repair in 1/2 hour. I am grateful that he was willing to work late and get my job done. I even received a thank you note from Larry a couple of days afterwards. I would definately use his services again and refer a friend.

Looked at the washing machine and never fixed it or the freezer.

My refridgerator went out suddenly. I called Abel Appliance Repair about 08:00am. Larry Garner, the owner, had a heavy schedule, and could not come until late afternoon. Larry offered to send his son, Jordan, who could come by 10:00am. Jordan was very professional and very efficient. He detected the problem and repaired it. The refrigerator has worked fine since then. I am very impressed and grateful for the great job Jordan did. I would not hesitate to call Abel Appliance Repair again.

My Whirlpool Duet dryer was making an awful squeaking sound and had a smoke smell as well. I got the name of Abel appliance repair from Angie's List and I called them and they came in less than 2 hours. The owner's son came and was friendly and knowledgeable. He totally took my dryer apart and oiled the drum and pulley system and put it back together. Dryer works great and is not squeaking. Problem solved. I will definitely use them again.

The technicians were here for an hour. Cleaned the dryer, found the problem and fixed it. That was easy!

This guy is well reviewed and he is a nice, professional person. Ultimately, did a good job on fixing our refridgerator. But it took him two trips. He didn't have his soldering gun the first trip, so he did a stopgap fix, saying he would return to fix it for good soon. After two weeks, I called him to remind him to return and finish the job. He is so busy from all his references, he's learning that he needs to limit his service area closer to home. We are 25-30 minutes south of him, which is too far. If you are in the Frisco area, or in bordering towns, I would definitely recommend him. Outside that area, pick someone else closer to you.

I called around 9am and gave Larry the model number of our washer. Larry confirmed parts availability and scheduled Jordan to perform the repair right after lunch. Repair took about 30 minutes. Jordan was efficient and very clean.

He was prompt with same day service, diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired the washer quickly. He was very courteous and professional.
