I was preparing to do some work in my attic and wanted to make sure I took the necessary safety precautions since there is a lot of old insulation (house was built in 1966), debris and dust. I emailed three asbestos companies (consultants and testing labs) asking them whether they do home inspections and testing. Ronald McKee was the only one to respond who confirmed he was a licensed asbestos consultant, did inspections and could test (or at least sub-contract) samples. He gave me pricing for the inspection and cost for each sample. He also asked me to call him to discuss the age of my home and what I was concerned with in my attic. During our call he suggested I send him photos of my attic and anything I was particularly concerned with. I emailed him several pictures and the next day he responded stating that he didn't see anything in the photos that would contain asbestos. It's refreshing to know there are people out there who aren't trying to make a buck anyway they can and will provide their professional assessment for free. Ronald McKee could have just as easily not asked me for photos, but insist he must come out and perform the inspection in person. I would call upon Ronald McKee again for asbestos concerns and recommend him to friends.

He seemed very thorough, and explained what and why he was doing it. He said that he would write up a report, which would be submitted to the Insurance Company. McKee certainly did their part. It is the insurance company, who is dragging its heels. The testing was done on October 25th, and the insurance company has yet to accept my claim. I am in my home now writing this report, and because of my allergies to the mold, I cannot stay in here long and continue writing. Suffice to say, that Mr. McKee was great and he even offered to come in and do additional testing. They provided me with a 5 page thorough report.

Overall experience was great. The technician was early to the job site. He explained to us what he was doing while visually inspecting the house for mold. He pointed out any areas of concern for the future and present. He was professional but friendly and efficient. I highly recommend you use them for any environmental concerns. After the results were in, I was called by the owner and the results were discussed and a hard copy faxed to us.
