Our general contractor recommended Paul Hagan for installing our home security system. Paul came out and seemed very knowledgeable in how to layout a system. He and his team pulled all the wire for the new system. He installed the sensors on the doors when the doors were installed. He came back and installed the window sensors although we noticed one window was missed. After window installation, we discussed options on the system to be used, how to set up the zones, etc. Paul Hagan was to follow-up with a quote. We never heard from him again. I called quite a few times and left messages. One time his wife Elizabeth answered the phone. She said Paul was busy installing home entertainment systems in Galveston but would get back with us. That never happened. I think it is very unprofessional of him to have started this project with us but not made an effort to complete it. We paid him in full for what was done. To date we have paid him $500 for installation of all wiring and sensors. Fortunately for us, we had not paid him a deposit for the next phase of this project. But now we are left with wires and sensors, and we will need to have someone else take the time to determine what goes where. Paul Hagan was punctual when he did show up. But his professionalism and responsiveness failed. It has been well over a year and he has never bothered to contact us on finishing this project. I cannot respond to cost because he never returned a quote. As far as quality, that is To Be Determined. If we have problems with the wiring once we finally get a system installed, then the quality of his work will fail as well. I hope to be able to do a follow-up on that in the near future. If you are doing new construction, and need someone to do a complete job, I would recommend looking elsewhere. LPH Enterprises, Paul Hagan, may leave you hanging with just wires and sensors.
Description of Work: Paul Hagan installed wiring, door sensors and window sensors (missed one window). He reviewed with us a complete overall plan for how the system was to be installed. He was supposed to install a complete system. He took his notes and left us with nothing more than the wiring, door sensors and window sensors.

Response from LPH Enterprises, LLC
This work was contracted through a General Contractor originally and we provided them with a proposal to run cabling and install a Honeywell alarm system 09/22/[Member Information Removed] # 886. The work was done and the cabling was paid for 10/28/[Member Information Removed] # 3895. Eleven months later the Home owner called and asked for some additional contacts and magnets as well as a different alarm system they had researched and wanted. We told them we did not handle the system and would not be able to provide it for them. They asked if we would only install the contacts and magnets at this time and we agreed on a price and completed this. They had also mentioned they would consider the Honeywell system. A year later after not receiving payment or response from the home owner we wrote off the invoice as a bad debt 08/27/2012 #5488. We do feel like we did not respond to your review in a timely manner and lack of knowledge on our part is not a sufficient answer but the only one we have. We have documentation verifying the time frame . We would like to submit this to you but am not sure how to attach to this response. Let us know what the next step would be to have the response removed from our history.
