They were prompt, professional, and answered all questions. The lawn did "green-up" in about a week, as they predicted. They offer other services, such as ant control, but we did not need those at this time. The company has one person who works my part of town, which is helpful, since he gave an overview of how he does the job, and he will be the one to come back each time. We did decide to use the company.

We've only had one treatment, but there has been an immediate and noticeable change in appearance to a greener, thicker lawn!

They took over in the fall. They come out 7 times a year. We were using ABC and they sold out to Greenup.

I found out later that it took three spray treatments to eliminate the bugs because of the schedule of laying eggs and hatching. I applied three additional treatments (material cost $17.00) and this took care of my problem.

I called this company and got the answering service. Like all of them they took a msg and i did not get a return. I called and finally got Cindy Office manager who took some of my information then proceeded to talk, talk, talk telling me what she could do for me. I had to scream and yell ok ok ok to get her to stop and let me explain. The she started again and again and i had to yell to ask if i could speak. Good we continued then i got a price on the total yard. I did not need the total yard done but sections. Finally again after arguing screaming and yelling she said she would have a tech come by and do the yard. i told her i want to be here to explain and get info on the care provided. she said the office would call 24 hours prior but that may not give me time to be here. I waited two days and after emails i finally called her again and the same thing: talk, talk talk and i again tried to interrupt her. She said she would have someone call in the morning June 16th 2016. Then i recd an email from their CEO stating they do not want my business and will not add me to their business network since they do not tolerate people screaming at their employees. Well, how can a customer talk when they are not allowed to and are TOLD by the cust representative what the company can do. I want to know what i am paying for before committing. This company tells you and you have to accept what they say or go elsewhere. I guess my US Dollars are not worth anything to this company.

The technician did a great job on the lawn. His equipment took out decent sized plugs and he repeated the treatment on a few heavily compacted areas that I identified. The issue we experienced was the difference between the estimated lawn square footage and the actual area that was treated. This differential ultimately impacted the bill we received. When providing a cost estimate, the company apparently relies on aerial images. So our suggestion - do your homework. Know the square footage of grassy lawn that excludes driveways, walkways, flower beds, etc. Measure it if necessary and be prepared to defend your calculation. A couple of my neighbors had the same experience - inaccurately high treatment area estimates. In my case, the company addressed the concern by sending the technician back to re-measure. This step confirmed the actual area treated was smaller than the estimate. Hence, my bill was lowered the appropriate amount without question. I would totally use Green Up again with the caveat - stick to your guns and get out your measuring tape.

They come and spray the lawn front and back for weeds, or fertilizer, or whatever they're supposed to do for that season to make my lawn better. They do it automatically and leave a bill on my door. I'm not even here when they do it. It looks good. They are consistent and good. I constantly use them.

I have been a satisfied customer of GREENUP for about two years. They fertilize my lawn, treat my shrubs, and treat for fire ants and other bugs in my yard. I started using them because another service was doing a poor job of keeping my lawn green. GREENUP has always done an excellent job for me. I recommend them. Most recently, they treated my lawn for grubs. They are here to fertilize, treat for bugs, etc. on a regular basis.

We had major construction at our home with scaffolding and plastic covering most of our flower beds and lawn. I called to ask them to suspend service until I re-landscaped. They still came out and wanted to charge me. I called about 3 or 4 times to try to stop service. Then, they put me down as not paying! I tried to call and correct it but to no avail. Totally unresponsive.

Excellent - as usual. I have used their lawn and shrub treatment services for years. The results have been uniformly good.

I have been very pleased with Greenup. I started using them in August, 2013, and my yard looks great! They fertilize and treat our grass and shrubs periodically according to their schedule, and the results have been very good. We also added treatment for brown spot fungus this past fall, and were very pleased. Price for this service is very competitive. We had TruGreen prior to Greenup, and the costs was significantly higher with TruGreen. They call or leave a message when they will be coming to treat my yard, and if they need to reschedule due to weather, etc, they always call and let me know. We would definitely recommend Greenup.

Don't be fooled by the Fort Bend Consumer Report for best Lawn Service. Don't waste your money on useless treatments like the Fire Ant program and the Brown Patch Treatment because they DON'T work! They supposedly guarantee the Fire Ant Program for a year but when you call them back they take forever to come look at it. Then, it seems like they spray water over them because they don't go away. When I complained about the Brown Patch treatment not working, the thoughtless and rude receptionist said, and quot;well you should have not ordered the serviceand quot;. What kind of response is that? I asked to speak to the manager or owner of the company to dispute an overcharge and it has been a month and I have still not heard from him. I will never use their services again and will not recommend to anyone! You are better off fertilizing your own lawn twice a year (Spring and Fall). This is NOT a professional A rated company!

They were late in coming because the technician was out sick. When he finally did come, I got a call the next day where they provided a price to take care of my yard. There were no details on the paperwork they had left. I reminded them that I wanted them to diagnose what was going on with the trees. They had the technician call me back a couple of days later to say that it was a lack of water. I have a sprinkler system and told them that their diagnosis disn't make sense. I since had a certified arborist look at the trees and it was fire blight and boaring insects causing the problem. Had Green-up gotten it right originally, I might not be faced with losing 4 large trees in my yard.

While I didn't have work done by this company, I think some things are worth reporting. I did get an initial analysis of my lawn in May of this year by this company, and they did come as promised and I spoke with them on the phone re: lawn issues at that time. According to the report they left regarding my grass, I had thin turf and the grass condition was fair. No lawn diseases were detected at that time, nor insects. So I decided not to hire at the time. Fast forward to today. In calling for a repeat analysis/estimate due to a marked change in my lawn's appearance, I was phoned today and was told that I had already had an estimate. In telling the secretary (?) my lawn's appearance had changed since then, she responded that they are now treating for chinchbugs and fertilizing. My question is: How do they know what they are treating if they don't come out to review my lawn? While I may be wrong, it appears they do not want to make repeat free estimate visits, even if your lawn condition has changed. Therefore, I will not hire this company if customer service is secondary.

While our yard tends to be greener than many of the neighboring lawns, we have a considerable amount of weeds in the yard. I canceled the service after probably a year because the lawn never looked as good as we had hoped. Weeds popping up were the biggest problem.

Again, I have no complaints with the work but they don't communicate well. It is lacking from the office all the way to the people that come out to do the work.

The representative from the company came out promptly looked over the yard and gave me quotes on the available services. I told him I only wanted to aerate and fertilize the lawn. There was no problem with my request and he never tried to oversell or recommend services I didn't want. I called them back after I looked over the quote and they returned within a week and completed the requested services. My yard has already started to show improvement and I can't wait for them to come back in 6 weeks.

They responded to my inquiry very fast. They were personable and the quote is reasonable. They followed up with me and they are very knowledgeable which was a major plus. I have scheduled for them to come out and do the work.

I'd love to actually write a real review stating how well they treated our lawn but I unfortunately can't really say anything other than I'm now forced to find someone else to perform the work after wasting time waiting for Green Up to contact me.

Overall the experience with Greenup has been very easy. They came out quickly for a first quote and I never have to be there for the treatment and it works great!

I'd summarize as saying that the inner office and the field guys do not coordinate well. Couple of points to set up here: I have two dogs that stay in the back yard while my wife and I are at work. So I need to be home whenever someone needs to look in the back yard for things. Also I work about a 1/2 hour from the house, so I can't just 'pop home' from work to deal with things. Therefore, When I requested that they come out to do an estimate I request either first of the day or last of the day, either one will work. I explain that I'll end up taking time off of work to meet them. Well the day they come out to do the estimate (Feb 29th I think), they manage to mis-read my address and send the guy to the complete other side of town. Fortunately they had another guy who was closer to me, so he came and did the estimate and I didn't lose too much time. When I agreed to have them service my lawn I was very explicit in saying that I needed to schedule my house for first thing in the morning (since their end of day was 3:30 or so) and I needed a day or so's call ahead. They acknowledged this, but apparently only wrote down (morning) and had made their route for my house near 10 am. After waiting a while I called and found this out and we rescheduled for the next day. When they came the next day they did the weed n' feed and the fire ant treatment. They told me it would be a week or two before they would be able to get the aeration machine out. They said they would also do the deep root tree feeding at that time. Their technicians do not take payment at time of service. They give you a bill and you either send in a check or you can make a payment online via paypal. Their paypal system is confusing (and this is someone who's been using paypal for close to a decade now), and when I was arranging this one of the office ladies had said that I could get a 10% discount if I paid for all my services at once. When I called back to understand how to make a paypal payment and confirm my total, I was informed that the 10% only applied for 'regular' lawn treatments. I ended up paying for all the services at once anyway, so as to try and cut down on the hassle on my end. Well, it ended up taking them about a month to finally send someone out for another service, but when he showed up he thought he was doing a regular lawn service, not an aeration and deep root tree feeding. At this point I called and cancelled the remaining services and requested a refund. A week passes and I had yet to receive a refund, so I make a refund request through paypal. The company's response to this was that they had already mailed me a check (which they had, the day before I made the paypal inquiry, I just hadn't received it yet). But I find it aggrivating that they request payment via paypal, but can't issue refunds that way, so it would go directly back on my credit card. Now I have the additional hasstle of having to deposit a check. I will grant that everybody I spoke with was courteous and polite, but they just can't quite seem to communicate well between the different portions of their buisness.
